Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship president, David Feldman says he has his eyes on Tyson Fury following the Brit’s confirmation of his retirement from professional boxing.
Over the past few years, combat sports fans have been witness to the growth of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. David Feldman, founder and president of the BKFC has made been making some big moves and has acquired well-known talent from the combat sports world.
Paige VanZant, Rachel Ostovich and Chad Mendes are some of the names that Feldman has managed to bring in but his sights are set much higher.
Talking to talkSPORT, Feldman says that he would like to sign newly retired WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury.
“I think it [signing Tyson Fury] is definitely possible, if they take us seriously because we are the new kid on the block, they might not listen to us. If they listen to us, then absolutely I think we can get a deal done,”
“He absolutely is on our radar; he would take this sport to a whole different level. You just saw it at Wembley Stadium with almost 100,000 people in there. I think Tyson Fury would take this to a whole other level and we would absolutely love to make a play for him.”
Feldman also added that although he has signed some big names in the MMA world, he wanted to start recruiting from professional gloved boxing.
“I just wanna get some more of these boxers. We are going to make a play for some of these really good boxers,” Feldman said.
“I can’t mention their names right now because it’s not done but we have two of the top 10 in the world we are negotiating with right now” (quotes via talkSport).

Tyson Fury ends up in a pub after flying to Iceland to confront ‘Thor’ Bjornsson
In a series of stories posted on his Instagram, Fury shared his impromptu trip with his followers.
Fury can be seen hunting for Bjornsson in the video. Joined by his father John, the duo issued a challenge to the strongman upon their arrival. When they couldn’t get a hold of him, they decided to visit Thor’s gym. He followed up with a cheeky clip claiming to be the Vikings now before giving up their search in favor of an ice-cold brew.
‘Thor’ responded to the Fury family in a later video stating that he was in Rome for a movie shoot at the time. He is willing to put together an event competing against Fury and insisted he does it the proper way by having his team send a contract.
Fury had teased a return to boxing
It looks like Fury is enjoying life going around the continent. He announced his decision to hang up the gloves after his latest win over Dillian Whyte in April. The abrupt retirement came as a surprise leading many to wonder if he would actually stay away from the ring.
Initially, Fury expressed his plans to continue as an athlete in some format. He was looking to compete in exhibition bouts against fellow sportsmen and celebrities. He even teased a return to boxing after the rematch between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk. Fury had previously called out Joshua for an outing in England that would be free for the fans.

Reigning WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury continues to tease his comeback in his latest video, calling out former opponent and fellow British heavyweight, Derek Chisora, for a trilogy match.
Ever since Tyson Fury announced his ‘retirement’, combat sports fans have been bombarded with videos and messages of ‘The Gypsy King’ calling out Francis Ngannou, Oleksandr Usyk, and even former Worlds Strongest Man, Hafþór Björnsson.
However, it now seems that Fury has turned his attention to one of his former opponents in Derek Chisora. In his latest video, he is stood with friend and former Commonwealth boxing champion, Isaac Lowe, who he would jokingly label his trainer for the potential Chisora fight.
“Well Andy [Lee],” Fury began “I’ve decided to come back to boxing because I can be the first heavyweight champion in history to have two trilogies. One with Deontay Wilder and a second one with Derek Chisora, I always said I’d fight Derek Chisora at the end of my career and here we are breaking all records again, setting precedents.
“Why I’ve chosen Isaac Lowe as my trainer is because when I was with Peter [Fury], Isaac was there, when I was with Ben {Davidson], Isaac was there and when I was with Sugar Hill, Isaac’s always been there. He’s always given me information; he knows me better than anyone on the planet.”
Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora
Fury and Chisora first squared off back in 2011, which at the time was a contest to decide who was the best up-and-coming heavyweight prospect from Britain. Fury would defeat ‘Delboy’ by unanimous decision, capturing the British and Commonwealth title.
The pair would meet again, just over three years later in November of 2014, this time Fury would bludgeon Chisora – Chisora’s corner would ultimately throw the towel during the 10th round. Just one fight following this, Fury would take on Wladamir Klitschko where he would produce arguably the best performance of his career.
Chisora has since responded to Fury’s callout for a trilogy bout. Check out his reaction below:

Jake Paul claims both of the Fury brothers are in hiding and has hinted at making other plans.
Paul is slated to face off against Tyson Fury’s brother, Tommy Fury, on August 6. Both men are undefeated as professional boxers, making this one of Paul’s most legitimate challengers inside the boxing ring yet.
Ahead of the fight, Paul and Tyson Fury made a $1 million bet on whether or not Paul would win the fight. Both Paul and Fury verbally agreed to the bet on social media, all but locking the agreement up.
With that being said, Paul says that’s no longer the case in a recent Tweet. Taking to Twitter, while taking a shot at Tommy Fury, Paul says Tyson Fury’s lawyer hasn’t gotten back to him about setting up escrow for the high stakes wager.
“Tommy Fury is in hiding. Bitch made. Tyson Fury lawyer never got back to my team on setting up escrow for our $1M bet. Never believed in his brother. Instructed my team to do a Hova and move On To The Next One”
It is unclear if the final line is Paul hinting at moving on to a new opponent, if he’s bluffing as a negotiation tactic, or if there is another meaning behind that final message.
Paul is 5-0 as a professional boxer with knockout wins over ex-UFC stars Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley, the latter of which being a former UFC champion.
As for Fury, he is a bit more experienced with an 8-0 boxing record, with four of those wins coming via knockout. Paul vs. Fury goes down live on pay-per-view (PPV) from Madison Square Garden on August 6.
