Daniel Cormier and Frankie Edgar give their thoughts on Jon Jones being pulled from his scheduled main event bout with “DC” after being informed by USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) of a potential anti-doping violation.
Jose Aldo sweats out a few pounds prior to his main card interim title fight with Edgar and Mark Hunt, who’s slated to meet Brock Lesnar in the co-main event, spends time with his family in Vegas.
The episode concludes with Cormier getting a call informing him that all-time great former middleweight champion Anderson Silva will be stepping up to face him. “The Spider” is then seen making his arrival in ‘Sin City’.

At the head of the card we have a long awaited rematch between light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and his predecessor/junior title holder Jon Jones. The co-main attraction for the evening features former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar’s return, as he faces the heavy hitting knockout artist Mark Hunt.
The women’s bantamweight strap is on the line as Miesha Tate attempts to carry on her momentum against Amanda Nunes. ‘Cupcake’ submitted Holly Holm at UFC 195 in a stunning fifth round rally, and her Brazilian opponent Nunes is coming off three straight wins. In the absence of the UFC featherweight champion Conor Mcgregor, the interim belt is up for grabs as Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar are set to rematch.
Former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez rounds off the very stacked main card in a showdown with Travis Browne. Aldo featured on the blockbuster July 9 milestone card are Johny Hendricks, TJ Dillashaw, Gegard Mousasi, Kelvin Gastelum, Sage Northcutt, Diego Sanchez, Jim Miller, Takanori Gomi and many more.

With McGregor pulled from the card, and Diaz currently without an opponent, we now have the rematch do-over between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones to look forward to as the main attraction.
But that’s just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Miesha Tate will return for the first defense of her UFC women’s bantamweight strap, taking on Amanda Nunes in a highly anticipated co-main event. Then we’ve got the interim featherweight belt on the line for Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar, and former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez will battle Travis Browne also on the main card.
