UFC 211 Preliminary Live Results

It’s once again fight day here at LowKickMMA, and the talent on display tonight (Saturday, May 13th, 2017) will come from in the form of UFC 211. Headlining the card are Stipe Miocic and Junior dos Santos, but there’s a whole bunch of great fights also taking place on the preliminary section of the card.

It’s once again fight day here at LowKickMMA, and the talent on display tonight (Saturday, May 13th, 2017) will come from in the form of UFC 211. Headlining the card are Stipe Miocic and Junior dos Santos, but there’s a whole bunch of great fights also taking place on the preliminary section of the card.

Eddie Alvarez vs. Dustin Poirier in a lightweight bout closes the preliminary card on FX.

Chas Skelly vs. Jason Knight is next in a featherweight bout.

Chase Sherman vs. Rashad Coulter is next in a heavyweight bout.

Marco Polo Reyes vs. James Vick in a lightweight bout opens the FX preliminary bouts.

Jessica Aguilar vs. Cortney Casey in a women’s strawweight bout finishes off the UFC Fight Pass preliminary card.

Gabriel Benitez vs. Enrique Barzola is next in a featherweight bout.

Opening the UFC Fight Pass prelims is Gadzhimurad Antigulov vs. Joachim Christensen in a light heavyweight bout.

In the episode, heavyweight title challenger Junior Dos Santos goes from open workouts to a cryotherapy chamber. In the episode, heavyweight title challenger Junior Dos Santos goes from open workouts to a cryotherapy chamber. Heavyweight champion and collegiate baseball standout Stipe Miocic throws out the first pitch at a Texas Rangers game. Strawweight challenger Jessica Andrade aims to make weight on Thursday night in anticipation of an early morning, while champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk enlists pool toys to keep her mind off the cut. The next day, all of the fighters – including featherweights Yair Rodriguez and Frankie Edgar — hit their target numbers before facing off again at the ceremonial weigh-in.

UFC 211 goes down live on pay-per-view (PPV) tonight (Sat. May 13, 2017) from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

Tonight’s event has quite the lineup in store for fight fans, as some of the best fighters in the mixed martial arts (MMA) world are on tap to compete today. Former lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez will take on Dustin Poirier in the FX preliminary headliner.

Former lightweight champion and two time featherweight title challenger Frankie Edgar will welcome Yair Rodriguez to the upper echelon of the 145-pound division. Next, Demian Maia and Jorge Masvidal will collide for a possible shot at the welterweight crown.

In the co-main event of the night, reigning women’s strawweight champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk will attempt to make her fifth title defense against Jessica Andrade. And in the main event of the evening, Stipe Miocic will defend his heavyweight title against former champ Junior dos Santos.

Three bouts will air on the UFC Fight Pass prelims at 7 p.m. ET while the FX prelims will air at 8 p.m. ET. The five bouts will take place on the main card that will air on pay-per-view (PPV) at 10 p.m. ET.

A UFC Heavyweight Championship bout between current champion Stipe Miocic and former champion Junior dos Santos will serve as the main event. The pairing met previously in December 2014 at UFC on Fox: dos Santos vs. Miocic with dos Santos winning by a close unanimous decision. Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. vs. Jessica Andrade in a UFC Strawweight Championship bout will serve as the co-main event. Rounding out the main card is Demian Maia vs. Jorge Masvidal in a welterweight bout, Frankie Edgar vs. Yair Rodriguez in a featherweight bout and Henry Cejudo vs. Sergio Pettis in a flyweight bout.
