Perennial UFC welterweight contender, Neil Magny is back to winning ways — and can now officially call himself the most winningest fighting in the history of the weight class, surpassing former undisputed champion, Georges St-Pierre with tonight’s co main event D’Arce choke win against Daniel Rodriguez at UFC Vegas 64.

Magny, who entered tonight’s fight against Californian striker, Rodriguez grasping a stunning 19 welterweight wins in his UFC tenure — chalked up win number 20 tonight, and surpassed St-Pierre subsequently, as the most winningest welterweight in the history of the weight class in the UFC.

Struggling with the heavy hands of Rodriguez throughout their three round co-main event, Magny managed to latch onto the veteran’s neck at the fence in the third round — initially threatening with an anaconda choke.

Handing Danish Olympian, Mark O. Madsen his first loss in professional mixed martial arts, surging lightweight contender, Grant Dawson has likely cracked the division top-15 despite his weight miss, scoring a dominant third round rear-naked choke win to open the main card of UFC Vegas 64.

Dawson, who missed the lightweight non-title limit by one and a half pounds for tonight’s high-stakes clash with the undefeated, Madsen, managed to dominant the wrestling exchanges with the Greco-Roman wrestler, working his way to the former’s back on cue in the opening couple of rounds.

Chopping away at Madsen’s left leg in the third and final frame, Dawson followed the Dane to the canvas, eventually working to set up a rear-naked choke and force a stoppage from referee, Herb Dean.

Following the victory, Dawson called for a fight against the faltering former interim UFC lightweight titleholder, Tony Ferguson in his next Octagon appearance.

Landing her fourth UFC victory and one of the most timely finishes in the history of the promotion’s strawweight division, Brazilian finisher, Polyana Viana makes lightwork of former Invicta FC atomweight titleholder, Jinh Yu Frey — stopping the veteran with a 47-second knockout on the preliminary card of UFC Vegas 64.

Viana, who now moves to 4-4 in eight Octagon appearances, last featured against Tabatha Ricci back in May in a unanimous decision loss.

In her other three Octagon victories, the Para native defeated Maia Stevenson, Emily Whitmire, and Mallory Martin — adding Frey to her winning résumé with tonight’s stunning opening minute finish.

Countering as Frey pressed forward within the opening minute of their clash, Viana unloaded with a series of counter strikes in the pocket, forcing Frey backward and eventually to the Octagon canvas with a heavy fall, before following up with a ground strike. Count it eight knockouts to go with eight separate submission wins for Viana.
