In a recent video blog featuring UFC president Dana White, the UFC gave fans an exclusive look at UFC 143.

Following the event, fans were shown backstage footage of both Nick Diaz and Carlos Condit after their main event bout for the UFC interim title. Diaz was visibly upset at the results and voiced his frustration with his camp while being attended to by medical staff.

The Stockton, California native subsequently didn’t appear at the post-fight press conference.

“Ha, I’m not going to no press conference,” Diaz said when ordered by UFC staff to attend the press conference.

Former UFC welterweight contender Dan ‘The Outlaw’ Hardy (23-10, 1NC) will get a chance to end his four bout losing streak this coming May, and he’ll do it against a fighter who won’t hesitate to stand toe-to-toe in the Octagon.

On Wednesday, ESPN.co.uk confirmed with UFC officials that Hardy would face striker Duane ‘Bang’ Ludwig (21-12) at the upcoming UFC 146 event in Vegas, with verbal agreements on both sides.

UFC 146 is expected to take place on May 26, 2012 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Unconfirmed as the headliner, UFC heavyweights Junior dos Santos and Alistair Overeem will look to unofficially unify the UFC and Strikeforce titles.

Hardy was last in action in August of last year, losing via guillotine choke to Chris Lytle in the last minute of the third round, in their headlining bout for UFC on Versus 5. Previous to that Hardy lost a decision to Anthony Johnson at UFN 24, via KO to Carlos Condit at UFC 120, and by decision to Georges St-Pierre in their UFC 111 title match. ‘The Outlaw’ saw his last win take place in November 2009, a unanimous decision over Mike Swick.

Ludwig is a month removed from his last fight, a technical submission loss to Josh Neer at the UFC on FX 1 event in Nashville. The defeat ended a two fight win streak for ‘Bang’ who earned decisions over Amir Sadollah, at UFC on Versus 5, and versus Nick Osipczak at UFC 122. Ludwig was recognized by UFC president Dana White recently for the fastest knockout in UFC history, for finishing Joathan Goulet at UFN 3 in six-seconds back in January 2006.

This Saturday, the UFC will travel to Japan for the first time under Zuffa ownership. Since the downfall of Pride, the popularity of MMA in Japan has declined significantly, a trend that UFC president Dana White hopes to end by bringing his product to the country.

“We’re going to slowly try to build that market back up, and we’ll see what happens,” White told MMA Junkie. “There are no pro wrestlers, and you’re not going to see some 400-pound dude fighting a 100-pound dude. None of that stuff’s going to happen. The UFC is going to go in there, and we have fans there already. Those fans are going to show up.”

To promote the upcoming event, which will be held at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, the UFC will hold a pre-fight press conference on Wednesday at 11 p.m. ET. Event headliners Frankie Edgar, Benson Henderson, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Ryan Bader and UFC president Dana White will all be on hand for the presser.

Video of the press conference will be streamed live on the below video player. After the presser, stay tuned to Bleacher Report MMA for all the latest on UFC 144 and the rest of your MMA needs.
