The UFC Octagon Girls want to eat with YOU! Of course…you have to pay. As part of the UFC: Fight For the Troops 2 at Fort Hood, the promotion has put together a list of items to bid on in efforts to raise money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. The fund benefits “the tens of thousands of U.S. military personnel and veterans suffering from traumatic brain injury due to injuries sustained during their service in Iraq and Afghanistan. ”
UFC is currently auctioning off a VIP Experience which includes walking out with and cornering your favorite fighter. Fighters on the card include the Main Event: Evan Dunham vs Melvin Guillard. Another item up for bid is a private training session with Randy Couture and Forrest Griffin. Couture is a former military man and has his own non-profit organization called the Xtreme Couture GI Foundation. And perhaps, what MMA Fix considers the most coveted item up for bid is dinner with Arianny, Brittney, and Chandella. The dinner is currently going for $2,000 but if you put it on your Mastercard and figure in the envy you’ll receive from all your friends, then it really is, priceless.
You can bid for ABC and all other items: here. UFC: Fight For the Troops 2 takes place January 22nd in Killeen, Texas.
After a Unanimous Decision loss to Thiago Silva who dominated Brandon “The Truth” Vera for 3 rounds, the UFC has released the Light Heavyweight from his UFC contract. It was the third straight loss for Vera who also received a broken nose courtesy of Silva. Vera had been with UFC since 2005.

Other fighters released from their contracts following their losses at UFC 125 were Marcus Davis and Antonio McKee. Both McKee and Davis were UFC Lightweights. McKee was making his UFC debut when he lost a Split Decision to Jacob Volkmann and Davis received his second loss in a row via KO from Jeremy Stephens. Usually UFC seems to practice a 3 strikes and you’re out method, but their Lightweight division is a bit overloaded with the WEC Lightweights moving in, which may have contributed to the two being cut from their contracts

Yesterday, MMAWeekly reported that UFC Lightweight, Jacob Volkmann received a visit from the Secret Service who were investigating a threat from Volkmann when he called out President Obama during an interview with Ariel Helwani. Volkmann said, “Someone’s got to knock some sense into that idiot.” See video below:
We at MMAFix are all for protecting the president, but find it somewhat silly that tax dollars were wasted on this investigation (apparently at the fault of some dumb lady). Volkmann told MMAWeekly.com:
“This guy had the whole interview on a piece of paper and it had my picture and everything. He was like ‘is this what you said?’ and I said, ‘yes it is.’ He’s like ‘I want to let you know I’m a little embarrassed for coming here and doing this because obviously nothing happened.’ He actually apologized for coming, but he had to come. He wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to D.C to hurt the President… The thing is, I got home and I checked my e-mail and I had about 20 e-mails and one of them, one of [the] ladies had actually contacted the FBI and the Secret Service, and she was telling me that she was going to do it.”
We also wonder where this “lady” was when War Machine made his infamous comment regarding President Obama via MySpace: “I hope someone smokes that f#$@er…”
We guess hoping for someone to kill the President is not as threatening as saying you’d like to fight him in the Octagon if Joe Silva could make that happen.
