Benson Henderson & Phil Davis are slated to make their return to the cage at the upcoming Bellator 220 event.
On Tuesday, ESPN reported that Henderson will fight Adam Piccolotti in a lightweight bout while Davis will battle it out with former Bellator light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary for a second time in a light heavyweight bout.
Henderson, who is former UFC lightweight champion, is coming off wins over Roger Huerta via second-round guillotine choke in April and Saad Awad by unanimous decision in October.
The first fight between McGeary and Davis went down at Bellator 163 in 2016. This is where Davis defeated McGeary by five-round unanimous decision to win the Bellator light heavyweight championship.
Bellator 220 is set to take place on April 27, 2019 at SAP Center in San Jose, California. The preliminary card will air online at 7:00 pm EST while the main card will air on DAZN at 9:00 PM EST.
The show will be headlined by a welterweight title bout between champion Rory MacDonald and challenger Jon Fitch, which will also serve as a Bellator Welterweight World Grand Prix opening round match. The promotion will be announcing more bouts in the coming weeks. Here’s the updated card:

Lorenz Larkin will kick off the main card action on Friday night (Oct 12, 2018) when he meets Germany’s Ion Pascu.
Since signing with the Viacom-owned promotion, Larkin has been less than stellar. He has lost two of his three fights inside the Bellator cage. His lone win came against Fernando Gonzalez at Bellator 193 back in January.
Larkin left the UFC as a top 10 talent, however, its unlikely “The Monsoon” will be fighting for gold of anytime soon.
A win against Pascu is not a gimme by any means. But Larkin most definitely needs to string a couple of wins together in a big way.
