VanZant rose to distinction in the UFC after debuting in 2014, competing in both the strawweight and flyweight divisions. Her tenure in the organization included notable victories over Felice Herrig and Bec Rawlings, the latter ending with an impressive flying head-kick knockout that earned her a Performance of the Night bonus.

Following her exit from the UFC, VanZant transitioned to bare-knuckle boxing under the BKFC banner. Despite her efforts, her bare-knuckle record remains winless at 0-2. Undeterred, VanZant has continued to showcase her athleticism, appearing in professional wrestling with AEW and most recently participating in Dana White’s Power Slap League.

Beyond combat sports, VanZant has built a successful career as a model, social media influencer, and content creator. Her presence on platforms like OnlyFans has reportedly earned her substantial income, with VanZant previously stating she made more in 24 hours on the platform than throughout her entire fighting career.

While she has described fighting in recent years as “just a hobby,” VanZant’s latest post suggests that the fire for competition might still be burning. Whether this tease signals a return to MMA or another combat sport remains unclear, but fans are already buzzing about what could come next for the ever-evolving athlete. For now, Paige VanZant’s “Ninja Girl” move has everyone on alert for her next chapter in the combat sports world.

Alexander Gustafsson Leaves UFC for New Deals with GFL and BKFC

Alexander Gustafsson is set to leave the UFC after his manager, Majdi Shammas, confirmed that the promotion agreed to release him from his contract. Gustafsson has signed with the Global Fighting League (GFL) on an appealing deal, which provides flexibility for the Swedish fighter to take on other bouts outside of the organization.

Alexander Gustafsson with the GFL

“We asked the UFC to release Alex from his contract. They agreed, and we’re grateful for that,” Shammas told Maximum Sports. The manager added that Gustafsson’s new contract with GFL is an exciting opportunity, with potential for future matches and non-exclusive opportunities. “It’s a very attractive contract, and Alex is free to pick and choose from other bouts as well, which is great for us,” Shammas said.

Shammas also spoke highly of the GFL, calling it an organization with an ambitious team ready to launch in 2025. He described the setup as a hybrid between past leagues like the IFL and today’s PFL tournaments, offering better conditions for athletes.

Alexander Gustafsson with BKFC

As for Gustafsson’s next steps, Shammas confirmed that the fighter has received an enticing offer from BKFC. While a deal has not yet been signed, it’s likely that Gustafsson will join BKFC and face a UFC or Bellator veteran in the near future.

“Alex is in very good shape. He has looked good in training and has gotten his fire back. He is excited and eager for what is to come,” Shammas added.

“The Mauler” Gustafsson is a renowned UFC Light Heavyweight fighter with an 18-8 record, including 11 knockouts. Despite never winning a UFC title, he has earned respect for his performances, including memorable battles against Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier.

Conor McGregor, Tyson Fury, and Anthony Joshua Could Be the Future of Bare Knuckle Fighting

BKFC boss David Feldman sees a future where Conor McGregor, Tyson Fury, and Anthony Joshua are all toeing the line for his bare-knuckle fight group.

In recent years, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship has made some big strides toward becoming one of the premiere combat sports organizations in the U.S. Aside from getting the brutal sport sanctioned in 25 states since its inception in 2018, BKFC has seen an influx of ex-MMA stars like Eddie Alvarez, Luke Rockhold, Michael ‘Venom’ Page, and ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry make their way into the squared circle.

Of course, you can’t talk about BKFC these days without mentioning Conor McGregor. Earlier this year, the Irish megastar revealed that he is a part-owner of the ever-growing organization and has made regular appearances at BKFC events both stateside and overseas.

Conor McGregor

Recently, BKFC founder David Feldman shared some pretty lofty goals for the organization’s future — the most logical of which would see McGregor step inside the squared circle as a competitor rather than an owner.

His others just so happen to include two of the biggest names in the boxing game today.

“The best people would be Conor, Tyson Fury, and Anthony Joshua,” Feldman told World Boxing News. “Anthony Joshua did an interview and said my first favorite sport is boxing, and my second favorite is bare-knuckle fighting. He said it to the public. There’s guys like that out there, and I don’t think it’s far-fetched to see some of the best boxers in history, or best MMA fighters in history, take the gloves off and fight for BKFC. I don’t think that’s far-fetched.”

Anthony Joshua

Feldman says stars like Fury, Joshua, and conor McGregor fighting in BKFC is ‘only a matter of time’

Bagging athletes like Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury may seem unlikely, but the BKFC has proven to be a strong draw for athletes who have entered the twilight of their respective careers. Perhaps one day when ‘AJ’ and ‘The Gypsy King’ are no longer guaranteed draws in boxing, they can continue to find success — and big bags of cash — fighting for Feldman and McGregor.

“I don’t want to drop the names, but Conor McGregor — he’s out there, and he says it,” Feldman continued. “‘I’m a player-manager. I’m going to fight bare knuckle.’ It’s only a matter of time that him, Fury, Joshua … who knows?

“I’m not saying they are going to do it, and not saying they’ll not do it, but I think there’s a good shot of any combat sports athlete in the whole world now doing Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, I really do.”

On Tuesday, BKFC announced that the fifth installment of KnuckleMania will showcase a showdown between UFC veterans Eddie Alvarez and Jeremy Stephens. The highly anticipated bout is scheduled for Jan. 25 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

“The Underground King” made a strong entrance into the world of bare-knuckle fighting with a victory over fellow UFC veteran Chad Mendes at BKFC 41 in April 2023. However, his momentum faltered in his second outing, suffering a TKO loss to BKFC’s marquee star Mike Perry in December.

Now, Alvarez is gearing up for a homecoming, aiming to deliver a memorable performance in front of his hometown crowd in Philadelphia. This marks his first fight in the city in over 14 years, with his last appearance dating back to October 2010 when he secured a TKO win against Roger Huerta at Bellator 33.

Meanwhile, Stephens remains unbeaten in his bare-knuckle career, having made a stunning debut with a third-round TKO victory over Jimmie Rivera at BKFC 56. “Lil Heathen” is riding high off a dominant unanimous decision win over Bobby Taylor at BKFC 65 this past September.

The bare-knuckle promotion is making its long-awaited debut in Pennsylvania, following the state’s athletic commission granting official sanctioning for gloveless boxing in 2023.

Agi Faulkner knocks down Dawid Oskar five times in wild brawl to win BKFC European title - BKFC 68 Highlights

Agi Faulkner and David Oskar delivered one of the wildest fights in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship history at BKFC 68 on Saturday.

Emanating from Utilta Arena in Newcastle, England, Faulkner and Oskar met in the evening’s main event for the inaugural BKFC European heavyweight championship.

Things got off to a fast and furious start between the heavy hitters with five incredible knockdowns in the opening round.

Faulkner planted Oskar on the mat four times within the first two minutes of the fight. Faulkner also ate the canvas once in what is already being touted as the Fight of the Year. However, as the round ended, Faulkner caught Oksar with a right hook that technically came after the bell. That prompted the referee to deduct a point from Faulkner before the beginning of the second stanza, but the damage was already done by then.

Mere seconds into the second, Faulkner overwhelmed Oskar and knocked him down for the fifth and final time.

Official Result: Anthony Faulkner def. David Oskar via KO at 0:05 of Round 2.

With the win, Faulkner moved to 3-0 under the BKFC banner and 5-0 in bare-knuckle bouts overall.

Frustrated Conor McGregor Blasts Ex-Teammate Artem Lobov After $500K Betting Loss

Conor McGregor Artem Lobov

Conor McGregor was fuming Saturday night after losing big on some bets he placed on UFC 308. He even posted to X (formerly known as Twitter) and called his ex-teammate Artem Lobov a retard!

Sports betting has always been a very fickle endeavor, and MMA betting is even more unpredictable due to the sport’s wild nature. McGregor has been developing his “Drake” persona and throwing down big stacks on bad bets, and as expected, it’s not going very well.

In his latest exploit, he threw down a crackhead’s dream of a parlay and bet that Robert Whittaker and Max Holloway would win via knockout. It did not hit…

Conor McGregor loses $500k on a wild parlay, calls his ex-Teammate a retard

In a now-deleted tweet, McGregor flashed the ticket for his bet on X and marveled that $500k could be turned into over $17 million!

319d4 17299857425651 1920

Of course, the odds of this bet are in the territory where the bet itself is considered a “lotto”. This means it’s so unlikely that the bet hits (according to the odds) that you might as well spend $500k on lottery tickets instead. The bet flopped big time, and not even a single leg of the parlay hit.

Conor McGregor was enraged, and for some reason, this led to him hopping back on X and spewing hatred at his old ex-teammate, labeling the man a retard.

9292a 17299879464100 1920

The hatred towards Lobov possibly stems from a lawsuit that the Russian launched against McGregor some time ago. Still, it is unclear why losing the bet made Conor McGregor lash out at his former training partner. Maybe the two made amends, and Lobov suggested the bet to McGregor? Or, McGregor might have just been in a foul mood after losing $500k, and in an alcohol and drug-induced rage, could’ve been lashing out at anyone and anybody that came to mind.

What do you think about that wild parlay McGregor threw away $500k on?
