Rachael Ostovich

Rachael Ostovich was last seen in Combat Sports action when she faced Paige VanZant at BKFC 19. Since then, Ostovich has been pretty inactive and has seemingly made a living off of her premium subscription site.

Recently, she broke the internet when posting a teaser to her Instagram that contained photos of her in a cowgirl bathing suit outfit. It seemed that fans and people in general really enjoyed the photos, as it’s now landed Ostovich back into the spotlight for the first time in years.

While no word has been broken about Ostovich’s return to the combat sports world, one can imagine her time with the UFC has come to a permanent end. Between BKFC and other MMA promotions, Ostovich should have no problem getting another fight: but, it’s up to her if she even does want to fight anymore.

What’s next for Rachael Ostovich after her BKFC 19 victory?

After the fight with VanZant two years ago, Ostovich went on record saying that she had fun fighting for BKFC and that another bout under the promotion was not off the table.

“Bare knuckle, totally different sport. Honestly, when you get in there, it’s fun,” Ostovich said (H/T brobible). “I was having fun. I was talking. I was bout it. I was down. It was great.”

“It’s definitely up to my manager. I can say yeah [I’ll fight bare-knuckle again] all I want up there but, when it comes down to it, it’s got to be on the paper and I’m sure they’ll have a good talk after this.”

First getting her chance to fight in the UFC from season 26 of The Ultimate Fighter, Ostovich would go on to leave the promotion with an 0-3 record. However, it is worth mentioning she’s 1-0 in BKFC. Will Rachael Ostovich ever fight again? Only time will tell. Until then, it seems her fans will eagerly be following her career through the virtual window into her life that is social media.

Conor McGregor welcomes move to bare knuckle fighting from UFC I'd be happy to do it

Recently making a surprise appearance inside the ring at a BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship) event, former two-weight UFC champion, Conor McGregor has admitted he is not opposed to returning to the fighting arena in the future – to compete, in fact.

McGregor, a former undisputed lightweight and featherweight champion, drummed up headlines earlier this month, after he entered the ring at a BKFC event in Broomfield, Colorado – facing-off with former UFC welterweight, Mike Perry, following the Michigan native’s knockout win over former UFC middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold.

Conor McGregor welcomes transition to bare knuckle fighting in the future

Exiting the ring with a championship belt in tow, McGregor was pressed on whether or not he would be open to competing in the setting – claiming he would happily make the move, detailing how it would be very difficult to turn in a “snoozefest” – as opposed to boxing.

“I would do it,” Conor McGregor told Ariel Helwani during an interview with Matchroom Boxing. “Yes, I would do it, and I’d be happy to do it. It’s hard to get a boring fight in it, and it’s actually almost impossible for a boring ight to happen in it. And I’ll tell you why – no other discipline or sport can say that there’s a zero percent chance of having a boring fight.”

“Boxing can be a snoozefest,” Conor McGregor explained. “MMA can be a snoozefest – there’s no chance of a boring fight in bare knuckle because even if it is just a back-and-forth jab match, even a jab splits the skin. So from the split skin, cause panic in the ring, and the crowd rises, and there’s zero chance of a boring fight. So it’s interesting. I’d be up for it, for sure. Why not?”

Expected to make his Octagon return later this year in a welterweight fight against Michael Chandler, McGregor recently attended the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monaco over the weekend, with fans speculating that the Crumlin striker is far from fighting shape ahead of a potential December matchup

Former UFC fighter turned BKFC brawler ‘Big’ Ben Rothwell has officially purchased his ticket for the Francis Ngannou lottery.

Ngannou has been dominating headlines ever since he announced his signing with the Professional Fighters League last week. While he’s not expected to make his Smart Cage debut until 2024, fans are busy speculating on who his first post-UFC test will be while fighters from around the world are throwing their name into the hat of potential opponents. Especially upon learning that whoever goes toe-to-toe with the former UFC heavyweight champion will bank a guaranteed seven figures.

Enter Ben Rothwell, a former UFC heavyweight standout that has found a new lease on life inside the squared circle. After more than a decade with the Las Vegas-based promotion, Rothwell traded in his 4-ounce gloves for a pair of hand wraps, signing with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. After earning back-to-back knockouts, Rothwell is tipped for a heavyweight title opportunity, but if the Kenosha, Wisconsin native gets his way, he’ll cash in on a potential clash with the PFL’s latest acquisition.

“Ok @francis_ngannou is officially the #1 HW to call out. I’m your huckleberry,” Rothwell tweeted. “Congratulations on the signing.”

Ben Rothwell made to sure highlight the details of Ngannou’s contract, noting the massive guaranteed figure.

Appearing on The MMA Hour, Francis Ngannou detailed his groundbreaking contract with the promotion, revealing that the opportunity to take care of other fighters was just as important as taking care of himself. Aside from guaranteeing his opponents a massive payday, Ngannou will also be part of the promotion’s Fighter Advisory Board which will serve as an advocacy group for fighters. ‘The Predator’ will also head up the PFL’s latest expansion, PFL Africa, serving as the chairman.

As a mixed martial artist, Ben Rothwell went 37-14 over the course of his two-decade run. At his peak, Rothwell scored four-straight wins inside the Octagon, picking off Brandon Vera, Alistair Overeem, Matt Mitrione, and Josh Barnett in succession. He also earned victories over Stefan Struve and Ovince St. Preux.

UFC veteran Paige VanZant could make BKFC return in September, potential opponent revealed

Paige VanZant may not be completely done with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

The ex-UFC fighter turned BKFC brawler has made a name for herself, and a boatload of cash, as a content creator on the popular subscription-based website OnlyFans. In fact, ’12 Gauge’ has made so much money flaunting her wares that many simply assumed she had unofficially hung up her gloves and hand wraps for good. However, BKFC founder Dave Feldman suggests that VanZant could return for one more scrap inside the squared circle.

In an interview with MMA Fighting, Feldman, like many, assumed that Paige VanZant’s fighting days were over, but that does not appear to be the case.

“I actually questioned that myself, but she had a conversation with a couple of the guys on the team and I don’t think that she’s moved on,” Feldman said. “I think she wants one more crack at it. I know that I want to give her one more crack at it, so I think we’re going to have at least one more run there.”

After signing a very lucrative contract with the promotion in 2020, Paige VanZant failed to live up to the hype, losing her BKFC debut at the promotion’s inaugural Knucklemania event against fan favorite Britain Hart. She returned five months later to toe the line with former UFC opponent Rachael Ostovich at BKFC 19. ’12 Gauge’ once again came up short, dropping her second-straight unanimous decision defeat.

“Paige, she always comes to fight,” Feldman said. “Some people want to say, ‘She lost twice.’ She lost two close fights. She came to fight both times. She challenged herself both times. She doesn’t have to fight a day in her life ever again and she’s going to live a superstar life. She wants to challenge herself again.

“I take my hat off to her. Whatever she’s doing outside the ring, that’s on her own and let her do whatever she’s doing to make that kind of money she’s making, but as far as being a fighter, she keeps wanting to challenge herself and how can you not respect that.”

Paige VanZant Could Toe the Line with Felice Herrig in September

Paige VanZant was tipped for a return to the ring last summer when the promotion made its London debut. Scheduled to face Charisa Sigala, the bout was abruptly axed from the card with no explanation. PVZ was left fuming, revealing that she had nothing to do with the bout being pulled. The matchup was rumored to be rescheduled for October 2022, but it never came to fruition.

As for when Paige VanZant could potentially return, Feldman suggested September when the promotion is expected to deliver their next big event. Feldman also revealed that he hopes to see former UFC standout Felice Herrig make her long-awaited BKFC debut on the same card, possibly against VanZant.

“I’d love to have that,” Feldman said. “Maybe Paige against Felice on that card.”

Colby Covington slams BKFC claims promotion rely on UFC washouts

Colby Covington takes aim at fighters who have taken their talents to the world of bare knuckle boxing.

Late last month, the BKFC, the world’s largest bare knuckle boxing promotion put on its most well-received event since its inception. The promotion pitted former UFC champion Luke Rockhold against Mike Perry in the main event, and in the co-main event, Eddie Alvarez and Chad Mendes engaged in an exciting contest.

It was a big step not just for the BKFC, but the advancement of bare knuckle as a sport. The modern era of the sport began just in 2015 when the first legal event was put on in Northamptonshire, England.

Colby Covington is not a fan of BKFC

While some may now be becoming fans of the sport, the next welterweight title challenger, Colby Covington certainly isn’t and was highly critical of those who have ventured over to the un-gloved game.

“To be honest, I’ve never watched one of those fights,” Covington said to James Lynch. “I’m not interested in a sport like that and especially nonetheless of guys [who] are just UFC washouts. These are just guys that are going to fight at the Indian Fairgrounds because they couldn’t make it in the UFC, so we’re talking about the biggest and best business and the biggest and best fights, and that’s only in the UFC. It’s the best organization in the world.” (H/T MMA Mania)

While nothing has been booked, UFC president Dana White has insisted that Covington will face Leon Edwards for his 170lb title. The choice has not been far from criticism, with many feeling that Covington’s recent record is not one that is deserving of a shot at gold. While that may be true, the 35-year-old has also made a habit of putting on fun fights over his last few.

Paige VanZant doesn’t give a sh*t what you think about her body.

The former UFC fighter turned BKFC brawler has been forced to endure a series of body-shaming comments from individuals online after recent photos appeared to show the 29-year-old social media sensation putting on a little bit of weight. ’12 Gauge’ opted to address the changes in her body head-on in a recent Instagram post, letting both her fans and her “haters” know that she is happy just the way she is and that you can expect to see a more authentic version of herself going forward.

“I have been really good at putting my best self forward,” Paige VanZant wrote. “Making sure the world sees the ‘prettiest’ side of me. Where I fell short is that I never showed the true me. Until now. The truth is, yes, I have gained a lot of weight … probably 20-plus pounds, but I also gained strength, power, muscle and a f*ck ton of happiness. I see every single comment on my YouTube channel about how I look pregnant, obese, fat as f*ck, and won’t be able to fit through a door soon. But one thing I have always remembered — happy people ain’t haters and haters ain’t happy.

“So all you haters out there keep on commenting, you’re only growing my platform. And I promise from this day forward to show the real me, forever. The fat me, the broken me, the skinny me, and the happiest f*cking version of me I have ever been. Social media will never be real but I’ll try and be better. Anyway, check out my YouTube channel. Because I’ll be damned if I don’t continue to profit off of THE BEST HATERS IN THE WORLD. Yours in thickness.”

Paige VanZant made her UFC debut in 2014 and competed nine times under the banner, going 5-4, before exiting the promotion in 2020. ’12 Gauge’ signed a lucrative contract with Barek Knuckle Fighting Championship shortly after, but failed to live up to the hype, dropping back-to-back bouts against Britain Hart and former UFC opponent Rachael Ostovich.

Paige VanZant Still Has the Desire to Compete in Combat Sports

Paige VanZant was scheduled to make her return to the squared circle for BKFC’s London debut last year against Charisa Sigala, but the bout was abruptly pulled from the event with no explanation provided. She has not been booked for a return as of yet.

Despite being inactive in combat sports, Paige VanZant has stayed busy on social media. VanZant’s presence on Instagram and OnlyFans has made her a millionaire without having her photogenic face battered inside a cage. As a result, we may never see VanZant compete again. In an interview with MMA Fighting last summer, ’12 Gauge’ suggested that she could retire, but her desire to compete will likely keep her from doing so anytime soon.

“Theoretically I could [retire],” Paige VanZant said this past August. “I don’t have to fight another day in my life. It’s an athlete thing and some people wouldn’t understand it. If you ask LeBron James why do you still play basketball? You don’t need to. Why do all these NBA players, NFL players get to a point in their career like Tom Brady — he doesn’t need to play football anymore, but why does he? Because he’s the greatest of all time, because he wants to continue to compete. It’s what he does. It’s in his blood.

“I don’t compare myself to those people and their greatness, but definitely to their drive to want to continue to be successful. I feel like that’s a part of me as well.”
