Hector Lombard has called for Jake Paul to step up and fight him in a bare-knuckle boxing match.

The former MMA champion took to social media to post a mock fight poster featuring him and the Paul and asked the YouTuber if he wants to fight in BKFC or boxing, he wrote.

“We do it at @bareknucklefc or we do it in a boxing match @jakepaul?? I know you wanna make it happen the question is where do you want to do it?? I know you want to do it in a boxing match.. but do you have the balls to do it at BareknuckleFC??? Where would you guys like to see it??? everyone tag #jakepaul”

Lombard is the current cruiserweight champion in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. This past weekend, Lombard squared off against Joe Riggs in a fun fight that ended in controversial circumstances.

The MMA veterans went at it in a wild fight before Lombard held onto Riggs’ shorts and uncorked a punch. As a result, the fight was waved off as Riggs was unable to see out of one of his eyes and therefore unable to continue – Lombard was declared the new cruiserweight BKFC champion.

Post-fight, things only got crazier, as Lombard began his post-fight interview he was approached by fellow BKFC competitor Lorenzo Hunt. The former UFC contender clearly wasn’t a fan of his personal space being invaded and immediately began swinging at Hunt. Riggs was on hand to drag Lombard away and prevent absolute carnage breaking out.

Paul is currently 3-0 in professional boxing. The 24-year-old has looked good against extremely poor opposition. His most high-profile win came last time out against former Bellator and ONE Championship titleholder, Ben Askren. Paul is now set to square off against Tyron Woodley on Showtime pay-per-view on August 28.

Paige VanZant: Leaving The UFC Was The Best Decision I’ve Ever Made

Former UFC fighter Paige VanZant has come out and said that she is better off financially since leaving the promotion.

After going 5-4 in her UFC career and losing her last fight via armbar to Amanda Ribas in July of 2020, she decided to test free agency. After weighing her options, she signed a four fight deal with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships that gave her a major pay raise. As a result, she also started a fan site that people can pay for to get exclusive content.

Needless to say, Paige VanZant is in a much better place with her money after leaving the UFC and becoming independent. She revealed more details in an interview with her and her husband, Bellator fighter Austin Vanderford. (H/T mmafighting.com)

“I had my whole career was built off the UFC,” VanZant said. “I was in the UFC for like six years. It was very nerve-wracking. There weren’t a lot of people who left the UFC in the prime of their career.

“For me, I was a free agent at 26 years old. I was really young. It was nerve-wracking to know you’re leaving the powerhouse of combat sports. But now I know it was the best decision I’ve ever made. Since I’ve left, I’ve seen multiple fighters leave the UFC — and it’s not a diss at the UFC necessarily, but I think it’s more an awakening in fighters knowing there’s money out there and we’re going to be compensated for what we’re doing.”

After a tough run in the UFC, Vanzant was looking for new management to help her with free agency. According to Vanderford, it was the catalyst to securing her financial success in the future.

“Meeting Malki [Kawa] and signing with First Round [Management] was truly … I can’t say it enough how much of a life changer it’s been for us,” Vanderford said. “Before we signed with them, he said, ‘I need you guys to agree that you’re going to follow my lead and you’re going to do what I say and you’re going to trust me,’ and so far it’s hard to even imagine. They’ve just done such a good job.

Her out of the cage career has been booming as well with the launch of her new website. Fans can pay a fixed rate every month to access exclusive photos and videos that VanZant posts their. VanZant talks about how difficult the decision was to open herself up like that.

“There was always this back and forth,” VanZant said about her decision. “There’s two sides of it. I didn’t want to put myself in a position where I would lose business opportunities based on having an exclusive content site, but I feel like I’m already seen as a sex symbol in the sports world. I wanted to do it on my own terms. So I actually joined Fan Time, it’s a separate company. I’m not with OnlyFans. It’s PaigeFanZant.com and it’s my own website and I have a lot of control over what goes on there. I’m proud to say I’m part of it.

“I work hard for my body. I work hard for who I am, and there’s a side of me that’s extremely girly and feminine, and I get to share that on my fan site. Now I think it’s becoming a lot more acceptable. It was a little bit more X-rated, just the view from the public. Not saying that’s actually what people have on there, but I wanted to do it my own way. I wanted to do it professionally and have my own website and that’s what I’ve done.”

After being in financial turmoil while fighting in the UFC, VanZant and Vanderford can both now say that they are in a good place for the future.

“I’m not planning for when I retire to go to college or try to figure out what’s next in my life. I’m able to just fight and save money and plan when I want to retire, I can just retire.”

Paige VanZant will return to combat sports against Rachael Ostovich at BKFC 19 on July 23rd.

Luis Palomino wants to run things back with Jorge Masvidal.

The BKFC lightweight champion defended his title with a unanimous decision win over Tyler Goodjohn at BKFC 18 last night. As a result, he went 4-0 under the BKFC banner.

He then switched his attention to Masvidal who he notably defeated via split decision when they faced each other back in 2010.

“This is satisfaction because I hurt this man,” Palomino said about the fight with Goodjohn (via MMA Fighting). “This man has a history behind him from pro boxing, undefeated in England. He came over here hunting for me. He came here alone. For that, I respect Tyler Goodjohn.

“I want to keep challenging myself. Jorge Masvidal, if you want your rematch … I’ll give you that rematch in a boxing ring.”

Palomino continued:

“So check this out, right. If you want your rematch, remember I beat you in (2010) eight pounds heavy. If you want your rematch — I know you’re under contract with the UFC — but I’ve seen Dave Feldman corner some people in a boxing match.

“So I’ll represent BKFC, you can represent the UFC and I’ll give you the rematch in the boxing ring with the respect and with Dave Feldman’s permission.”

Could this happen? Probably not in reality, as Masvidal has nothing to gain from fighting a 40-year-old Palomino even if he does have a loss to him.

But it’s always worth shooting your shot.

Gamebred Fighting Championships, a bareknuckle mixed martial arts promotion headed up by two-time UFC welterweight champion and BMF championship holder, Jorge Masvidal has booked it’s main event for its inaugural showcase.

On June 18. in Biloxi, Mississippi, UFC featherweight alum, Jason ‘The Kid’ Knight will headline the event opposite the storied veteran, Charles ‘Felony’ Bennett in a featherweight main event.

Both Knight and Bennett have featured under the banner of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, led by David Feldman, and the event will air exclusively on BKTVAPP.com

Prior to his UFC 261 headliner against reigning welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman back in April in Jacksonville, Florida, Masvidal confirmed plans to launch his own bareknuckle mixed martial arts promotion, and the organization will have its premier event on June 18.

A two-fight alum of BKFC in his opening foray into bareknuckle combat sports, Knight clashes in two high-profile pairings against fellow UFC featherweight alum, Artem Lobov. Landing a 1-1 record against the Straight Blast Gym mainstay, Knight suffered a unanimous decision in the opening meeting of the two back in April of 2019 — before scoring a TKO win in the rematch in November of that year.

In the time since, the 28-year-old Mississippi native, commonly known as ‘Hick Diaz‘ has competed once in mixed martial arts competition, in the form of an appearance at iKON Fighting Federation 5 in March where he scored a rear-naked choke win over Cliff Wright.

Prior to his four-fight losing skid under the UFC’s banner, Knight had bested Jim Alers, Dan Hooker, Alex Caceres, and Chas Skelly during his promotional tenure.

Himself competing on three separate occasions under the BKFC banner, Bennett didn’t perform as well as Knight, dropping each of his trio of outings. A pair of hand injuries hampered his results against both Michael McDonald and Johnny Bedford, before he suffered a unanimous decision defeat to Tyler Goodjohn in December last.
