Tommy Fury Jake Paul 2 July

Fans may soon be getting part two of Tommy Fury and Jake Paul in the boxing ring.

Their first showdown in Saudi Arabia between the YouTube star and reality TV celebrity was a blockbuster boxing event. Both ‘The Problem Child’ and ‘TNT’ entered the bout as undefeated boxers. After 8 rounds of action, it was Tommy Fury who got his hand raised via split decision.

Mike Coppinger with ESPN Ringside has reported that Jake Paul has a one-way rematch clause in the fight contract that he looks likely to use.

Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury II in July?

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has recommended that the ‘The Problem Child’ should not face Tommy Fury again, but instead fellow YouTuber KSI. Whether Paul chooses a match against Fury or KSI, it is likely to be a blockbuster event either way.

Insiders have reported that the likely outcome will be a rematch against Tommy Fury targetted for July 2023.

Jake Paul was a YouTube-turned-professional boxer. In his run, he has defeated MMA fighters such as former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, and Olympic wrestler Ben Askren.

Tommy Fury, KSI, and Jake Paul have a combined zero wins over ranked boxers. Overall, Fury is 9-0 and best known for his stint on UK reality TV show Love Island. KSI has boxing victories over personalities such as YouTuber Logan Paul, professional video game player FaZe Temperrr, and rapper Swarmz.

Fans will wait and see what the next move from Paul will be following his first professional career loss.

Paddy Pimblett Jake Paul Sparring UFC

UFC lightweight contender, Paddy Pimblett maintains he is still firmly interested in taking Ohio native, Jake Paul’s offer of a sparring match – even after the YouTuber’s split decision loss to Manchester puncher, Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia last month.

Pimblett, 4-0 since his transition to the UFC back in September 2021, most recently co-headlined UFC 282 back in December of last year against Jared Gordon, scoring his own dubious, debated unanimous decision victory over the Queens native.

A former Cage Warriors featherweight champion, Pimblett managed to land a debut Octagon win over Luigi Vendramini, finishing the Brazilian with strikes, before then stopping both Kazula Vargas and recent winner, Jordan Leavitt with submission victories at UFC London events last year.

As for Paul, the YouTuber and social media star suffered his first professional loss in Riyadh at the end of last month, dropping a split decision loss to the above-mentioned, Fury. Paul had previously secured knockout wins over Tyron Woodley, and Ben Askren, to go with a decision win over former UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva.

Paddy Pimblett welcomes sparring session with boxer, Jake Paul

Sharing his thoughts on Paul’s decision loss to Fury last month, Pimblett, who received a lucrative offer to travel to Puerto Rico ahead of his UFC 282 co-main event last year, in orde to spar the former – insisted he would still take that offer.

… Jake Paul is just a terrible boxer – even more worse than I thought,” Paddy Pimblett told TMZ Sports. “I was giving him even more credit than I thought he deserved. You don’t know, you know what I mean. But Tommy (Fury) won anyway – it wasn’t a split decision either, that was a unanimous decision – he won most rounds.

Yeah, if he (Jake Paul) wants to, lad,Paddy Pimblett said of a potential sparring match. “I don’t give a f*ck. I’m not arsed, lad. I’ll have a spar with anyone. But, you can’t really win a spar so I don’t get what he meant, you can’t win a spar – you don’t win spars, you know what I mean.”

Missing out on UFC 286 later this month in a return to London for the Octagon, Pimblett suffered an ankle injury during his fight with Gordon, and is slated to undergo a surgical procedure to address the issue.

Jake Paul reflects on loss to Tommy Fury: ‘I was sick for four weeks. He wasn’t that great’

It’s been nearly one week since Jake Paul suffered the first defeat of his boxing career to Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia, and he’s had some time to reflect on the fight.

Paul still believes he is better than Fury, as his recent quote suggests:

“I was sick for four weeks of this nine-week camp, (and) jet lagged for another week. What’s pissing me off is that it had nothing to do with him, he wasn’t that great at all. I think Anderson Silva was tougher than him.

Once Paul was unable to land that overhand right of his, his biggest weapon was off the table. He was able to land his left hook a few times, and landed a nice counter jab that momentarily dropped Fury in the eighth, but he wasn’t having an easy time in there.

Fury made him work for it, and Paul made Fury work for it. It wasn’t the prettiest fight, but nonetheless, it looks like we may be in store for Fury vs Paul II next, as Mike Perry is fighting Luke Rockhold in BKFC, and Nate Diaz most likely won’t be interested in facing someone coming off a loss, not to mention their rematch clause that was in the contract going into this fight.

Jake Paul fell to 6-1 as a professional boxer in Saudi Arabia, while Tommy Fury climbed to 9-1.
