Francis Ngannou vows to shock the world in boxing match with Tyson Fury in October UFC

Tasked with ending the career-undefeated run of incumbent WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury in just his first professional boxing matchup, former UFC titleholder, Francis Ngannou claims he’s “ready to shock the world” when he draws the Morecambe native in October.

Ngannou, a former undisputed heavyweight champion under the banner of the UFC, has been sidelined from combat sports competition since he headlined UFC 270 back in January of last year, successfully unifying the division titles in a unanimous decision win over then-interim gold holder, Ciryl Gane.

Departing the Dana White-led promotion of his own volition back in January of this year, Cameroonian knockout artist, Ngannou has since penned a multi-fight deal with the PFL (Professional Fighters League), ahead of an expected return to mixed martial arts competition in the opening quarter of next year as part of a ‘superfight’ pay-per-view model.

However, in the time between, Batié veteran, Ngannou is set to sport a pair of boxing gloves inside the professional squared circle for the first time in his combat sports career, drawing unbeaten WBC heavyweight kingpin, Fury in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on October 28. as part of a massive showcase – over the course of 10 professional rounds to boot.

And despite retaining zero professional boxing experience, Ngannou, 36, dropped a fan-made poster ahead of the bout, promoting the event on his official social media – before claiming he would turn the world on it’s axis come the conclusion of his pairing with Fury.

“Ready to shock the world Oct. 28,” Francis Ngannou posted on his official X account.

And for Fury, the outspoken heavyweight champion will not be putting his WBC championship on the line in the clash, most recently defending the crown in a third career win over challenger, Derek Chisora back in December of last year at the Tottenham Hotspur ground in London, England.

Darren Till suggests boxing match with UFC veteran Nate Diaz I want to fight an OG

Sidelined from combat sports since a stunning submission loss to the surging, Dricus du Plessis back in December of last year, former UFC welterweight title challenger, Darren Till has suggested a boxing move and subsequent fight with recent feature and fellow promotional alum, Nate Diaz next.

Till, a former undisputed welterweight title challenger under the banner of the UFC, made his most recent and ultimately final Octagon walk back in December of last year at UFC 282, suffering his third consecutive loss in the form of a submission defeat to the aforenoted South African, du Plessis.

The defeat followed a prior rear-naked choke loss to veteran middleweight contender, Derek Brunson, and a decision loss to former undisputed division champion, Robert Whittaker in back-to-back headliners for the Liverpool striker.

And revealing he made a request to the UFC to grant him his release from the organization ahead of an eventual comeback as he continues to deal with a slew of knee injuries, Team Kaobon mainstay, Till has been linked with a venture to the squared circle.

Darren Till suggests boxing clash with Nate Diaz in fighting comeback

In terms of opponents for the counter striker, Till has weighed up a fight with surging BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship) star, Mike Perry, and earlier today, suggested a showdown with former UFC lightweight title chaser and recent boxing debutante, Diaz.

“I would like to box one of the OG’s of the fight game @NateDiaz209,” Darren Till posted on his official X account.

For Diaz, the Stockton veteran and fan-favorite most reently featured in a professional boxing debut just earlier this month in Dallas, Texas – going 10 rounds with the outspoken puncher and YouTuber, Jake Paul, where he suffered a rather comprehensive decision loss to the Ohio native

Turning in his second consecutive victory since 2020, former world champion, Anthony Joshua has his first victory by stoppage since that year to boot, finishing Finnish opponent, Robert Helenius with a thunderous one-punch knockout in the seventh round of their headliner in London, England.

Joshua, a former world heavyweight championship holder, had been slated to feature in a headlining clash against former-foe, Dillian Whyte in a rematch tonight in the capital, saw a bout with Helenius come to frution after an “adverse” finding in a drug test sample submitted by Whyte saw the clash cancelled.

Joshua, who managed to return to the winner’s enclosure back in April with a unanimous decision win over Jermaine Franklin, had landed a decision win, having suffered a pair of judging losses of his own in a pair of title fights against Ukrainian favorite, Oleksandr Usyk.

And now pitted to fight former WBC heavyweight kingpin, Deontay Wilder off the back of tonight’s win, Watford native, Anthony Joshua turned in his twenty third career knockout win, defeating Helenius with a spectacular seventh round KO at the ring ropes, landing a thunderous overhand right shot for a stoppage success.

Jake Paul mocks Nate Diaz's striking how did he hurt anyone with his punches in his career UFC

Turning in a comprehensive unanimous decision victory over former UFC lightweight title challenger, Nate Diaz over the course of last weekend in Dallas, Texas, outspoken puncher, Jake Paul has questioned how the Stockton veteran managed to hurt any prior opponents, appearing to scoff at the striking ability of the former.

Paul, who improved to 7-1 as a professional with his win over Californian fan-favorite, Diaz atop a pay-per-view event in ‘The Lone Star State’ over the course of last weekend, turned in a rather one-sided unanimous decision (98-91, 97-92, 97-92) win over the former UFC welterweight contender.

Almost finishing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ace, Diaz in the opening round, Ohio boxer, Paul swarmed with a slew of strikes early in the opening frame, as well as then dropping Diaz with a winging left hook in the fourth round – en route to a unanimous judging triumph.

Jake Paul mocks the striking ability of UFC alum, Nate Diaz

And immediately offering Diaz a rematch under the PFL (Professional Fighters League) banner with a purse worth a cool $10,000,000 awaiting the former, Paul certainly fancies his chances of a rematch win under the unified mixed martial arts ruleset, appearing to scoff at the former’s striking prowess.

“Guy’s (Conor McGregor) lost it, he’s lost it,” Jake Paul said of Conor McGregor during an appearance on IMPAULSIVE. “I don’t think he is a good fighter. After I seen what like Nate Diaz did to him, hurting him, like bro, how did Nate Diaz hurt anyone with his punches in his whole entire career? F*cking dropping these guys, hitting Conor and Conor’s wobbling into the cage. I could have stood there with my chin out and let Nate Diaz punch me as hard as he wanted to and the sh*t didn’t hurt at all.”

“The heavier gloves are actually more dangerous,” Jake Paul continued. “Because, would you rather get hit with a 10 pound sledgehammer or a five pound sledgehammer? Also, with a bigger surface area, the trauma gets passed into a bigger surface area, which creates more of an impact on your head.”

Off the back of his judging loss to Diaz, the Stockton native has been welcomed back to the UFC in a potential resigning – by former two-weight champion, Conor McGregor for a trilogy rubber match in the future
