Adrien Broner vs. Bill Hutchinson Betting Preview

Making his return to the squared circle this weekend in ‘The Sunshine State’ – former WBC lightweight champion, Adrien Broner is closing as a severe betting favorite to defeat opponent, Bill Hutchinson as he makes his first outing in professional boxing in over two years.

Broner, one of the most recognisable boxers in modern times, boasts a 34-4-1(1) professional record, most recently landed a unanimous decision win over Jovanie Santiago back in February 2021 in Connecticut, rebounding to the winner’s enclosure following a WBA welterweight title fight loss to Manny Pacquiao two years prior.

Boasting a 27-0(1) professional record which included a WBA welterweight title success against Paulie Malignaggi, Broner’s first career loss came in the form of a unanimous decision loss against Argentine puncher, Marcos Maidana back in 2013 in San Antonio, Texas.

As for Hutchinson the Pennsylvania native has so far scored a 20-2 professional record across his career, landing nine knockouts during that run to boot.

And despite his time of inactivity spent away from professional boxing, BetWay currently host Broner as a massive -2,500 betting favorite over the large +1,200 betting underdog ahead of their fight in Florida this weekend.

Limited to just six professional fights since 2016, Broner, who starred in a Return to Vegas event against the above-mentioned Filipino puncher, Pacquiao in 2019, suffered his fourth professional loss against the former world champion – adding to a pair of losses to both Mikey Garcia, and Shawn Porter.

Despite his checkered past inside the ring, Broner, who has landed an impressive 24 professional knockout victories landed wins over some supreme talents during his tenure as world champion at either the lightweight or welterweight limits.

Amongst his list of triumphs, Broner has defeated the likes of Jason Litzau, Eloy Pérez, Vicente Escobedo, Antonio DeMarco, Gavin Rees, Paulie Malignaggi, Carlos Molina, John Molina Jr. Khabib Ailakhverdiev, Ashley Theophane, and Adrian Granados to name a few.

Sharing his thoughts on his impending clash with Hutchinson, Broner claimed his experience at the top level would carry him over the line en route to a victory.

“Looking at my career and the way boxing is going, I just felt that was the best decision for me,” Adrien Broner explained. “It’s time to do things different, that’s all. I’ve been in the game so long to where I really don’t need to look at this guy. There’s really not a style that I haven’t seen before, honestly, with all the experience that I’ve got.”

“My main thing is to stay sharp, stay in shape, and go in there and get the job done,” Adrien Broner explained. “Make my adjustments, and I’m going to be ok. I’m going to look good on June th. If you ask me, I would say mega-good. Just know that the fight is going down on June 9th in Miami, and it’s going to be a hell of a night.”

As well as landing WBA welterweight spoils, Broner clinched WBC lightweight gold, WBO super featherweight, and a WBA light welterweight championship.

Francis Ngannou urged to hurry boxing career quif f*cking around take f*cking payday

Former undisputed UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou has been urged to hurry up with his expected transition to professional boxing later this year by veteran welterweight contender, Matt Brown, as fans continue to grow impatient with the Batié native.

Ngannou, a former undisputed UFC heavyweight titleholder, has been sidelined since January of last year, most recently headlined UFC 270, successfully unifying the promotion’s divisional titles with a unanimous decision win over then-interim gold holder, Ciryl Gane.

In January of this year, Francis Ngannou departed the organization following the completion of his UFC contract in December of last year, resulting in his removal from the official heavyweight rankings, and stripping as official division champion.

Penning a deal with the PFL (Professional Fighters League) recently to boot in a monumental agreement, Ngannou, who will compete on a pay-per-view format next year in a promotional debut with the Peter Murray-led promotion, is slated to make a transition to professional boxing first, however.

Francis Ngannou has been tipped to beat Deontay Wilder in potential future fight

Linked with a slew of fights against the likes of former champions, Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua, and current undisputed WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury – Ngannou has been urged to make a quickfire move, by the above-mentioned, Brown.

“He (Francis Ngannou) needs to go for the big payday,” Matt Brown told MMA Fighting. “It sounds like he wants to be a serious professional boxer maybe, if he’s talking about doing a warmup fight to get into it. I guess that’s a different path but now you’re taking a risk. Maybe you’re not that good. You don’t know.”

“You haven’t f*cking boxed, bro,” Brown explained. “You weren’t in the Olympics. You didn’t do an amateur career. You don’t f*cking know. When you don’t know, go for the payday. Go for the f*cking payday. What are we doing here? Quit f*cking around here. Get the payday and be done with it.”

UFC heavyweight Tom Aspinall backs Francis Ngannou to beat Deontay Wilder should they meet in the boxing ring.

Since leaving the UFC and signing his monumental deal with PFL, Ngannou is not only set up financially, but also free to explore other fighting opportunities out with the promotion such as boxing. ‘The Predator’ has previously expressed his interest in getting a big boxing fight, and has been pursuing a fight with reigning WBC champion, Tyson Fury.

Tom Aspinall backs Francis Ngannou in fight with Deontay Wilder

While a fight against one of the big name heavyweights may be hard to pin down for Francis Ngannou, it hasn’t stopped people fantasising about how he may get on. A lot of MMA fighters who have made the switch to the squared circle have come up short, but when talking with JNMediaUK, fellow big man, Aspinall liked his chances against one of the heavyweight elites.

I would love to see him against Wilder, because it’s just two f—ing massive guys who can punch holes through walls,” Aspinall began. “It’s ridiculous. I’d love to see that. If there’s anybody he could beat, it would be Wilder,” Aspinall added. “Because Wilder is … and I don’t want to slag the guy off, because he’s one of the hardest punchers ever. But as far as actual boxing ability, his level is way lower than an Usyk or Tyson Fury or someone like that.

The guy’s punching power is off the charts, absolutely ridiculous, out of this world, “ Aspinall continued. “But I think he’s quite hittable and his fight IQ doesn’t see to be, like, great. I think if there’s any of em who [Ngannou] could beat, it would be Wilder.” (H/T MMA Mania)

Tyson Fury continues back and forth with Francis Ngannou, believes he could land KO win after ’15 pints’

Francis Ngannou

Heavyweight boxing champion, Tyson Fury feels he could still knockout Francis Ngannou (17-3 MMA), even when he is 15 pints deep.

Although MMA and Boxing fans would love to see their world’s collide again, many believe it is all bark and no bite from both heavyweights who both haven’t fought for a prolonged period.

Now with ‘The Nigeran Nightmare’ signing with the Professional Fighters League [PFL], his return to action is in sight.

However, the 36-year-old is insisted on making his boxing debut before his beginning with the PFL.

In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani on the ‘MMA Hour’, Ngannou revealed he will not be fighting in the PFL until 2024 and eager to fulfil a lifelong ambition and enter the squared circle before the year is out

Tyson Fury says he could beat Francis Ngannou after “15 pints”

Since Ngannou confronted Fury in the squared circle after his KO win against Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium in 2022, the two fighters have been exchanging jabs on social media.

The pair reignited their feud this past Sunday, following the news of UFC President Dana White offering to matchmake a fight between ‘The Gypsy King’ and proclaimed MMA ‘GOAT’ Jon Jones (27-1 MMA).

Regardless of White’s attempt at louring Tyson Fury to UFC, the WBC heavyweight boxing champion has been more than flirting with the idea of dancing with Ngannou.

Francis Ngannou rekindled their sparring war shortly after, as he uploaded a video of him hitting the speed ball, which was captioned:

Anyway… I’ll be ready @TysonFury.”

Tyson Fury couldn’t help but cheekily respond on his Instagram.

“I’ll have 15 pints [beer emojis] and still KO you big stiff tramp!

To which Ngannou jabbed back, reminding Fury that he is the one entering his world and that Fury wouldn’t dare step foot against him in a cage under MMA rules and four-ounce gloves.

“Stop talking Tyson and come try. I’m already doing a favour using you gloves and your rules because your limited skill set.”

Although a fight between the two heavyweights wouldn’t require any alcohol for either fighter to get knocked out, it would still be a spectacle to watch.

Who would win a boxing fight after 15 pints, Tyson Fury or Francis Ngannou?

Although it didn’t go to plan, Ben Askren (19-2 MMA) planned on being the one to end the Jake Paul experiment before it even began.

During the rise of ‘influencer boxing’ in 2020, it was mocked by most professional fighters who believed it was nothing more than a fad.

The emergence of controversial YouTuber Jake Paul to the ‘influencer boxing’ scene did however add some intrigue.

Paul’s professional boxing career began with knockout wins over the likes of influencer Ali Eson Gib and former NBA player Nate Robinson kept the train moving.

Although Jake Paul’s wins continued to push him into the limelight, many people knew that he was beating untrained fighters. Despite this, his obnoxious persona attracted fans who tuned in to watch him receive some long-overdue karma.

Despite this, fans could see visible improvement in Paul’s boxing ability, they knew someone with some fighting experience would have to be called upon.

That someone was Ben Askren

‘Funky’ had one of the best wrestling pedigrees in MMA, however, when it came to fighting Jake Paul, it was apparent his best days were behind him.

Unfortunately for the optimistic MMA fans, Ben Askren’s striking was exposed by YouTuber Jake Paul, and paid the ultimate price after getting knocked out one minute and 59 seconds into the first round.

Ben Askren gives his prediction for Jake Paul Vs. Nate Diaz

Since Pauls’s fight with Askren, ‘The Problem Child’ has racked up wins against the likes of Tyron Woodley (19-7-1 MMA) and Anderson Silva (34-11 MMA), amassing a record of 6-1.

Following Jake Paul’s latest loss to Tommy Fury, he is set to face another UFC legend, Nate Diaz (21-13 MMA), on August 5th

In a recent interview on ‘Daniel Cormier TV’, Ben Askren admitted he overlooked Jake Paul as a legitimate threat, however, he is done doubting his former opponent.

“I got to imagine [he beats Diaz],” Ben Askren stated.

“I didn’t think Jake Paul would beat Tyron [Woodley] or Anderson Silva. So yeah, I kind of think so. It sounded like fun [to box him] and I hoped he sucked. We didn’t know at that point! At that point, he only boxed a comedian or something and a basketball player. So we didn’t know nothing. I thought, ‘Oh, hopefully, this dude’s just a bum. He’s gonna try and hit me hard for a round, he’s gonna get tired, then I’m gonna beat him up.’ We didn’t know he was any good.”

Despite Nate Diaz’s impressive fighting lineage, Askren believes that Diaz is underestimating Paul and making the same mistake he made.

Regardless, with a win over Nate Diaz, the 26-year-old social media star will be eyeing up a high-profile affair with Conor McGregor (22-6 MMA). The tie between the three of them would be McGregor’s long-standing rivalry with Diaz in the UFC.

Assuming McGregor would be willing and interested in another crossover boxing bout, Askren sees it being profitable for all involved.

“Yeah, I did [make more money fighting Paul],” Askren exclaimed.

“I think McGregor times Jake Paul makes everyone a lot of money and I think if he beats up Nate Diaz it makes a lot of sense. I don’t know what Conor’s contract is or what his relationship is with UFC where he can go get it done but I think a lot of people buy that fight. I think there’s a lot of casual fans who just want to see a boxing match and you know what, Jake Paul’s actually not bad at boxing, and maybe I’m just trying to make myself feel better potentially, but he did beat Tyron, he did beat Anderson Silva.”

Does Ben Askren have a point? Would Jake Paul vs. Conor McGregor make sense?

Francis Ngannou issued warning about boxing match with Deontay Wilder you're going to sleep

Former undisputed UFC heavyweight champion, and recent PFL (Professional Fighters League) signing, Francis Ngannou, has been warned about the potential pursuit of a professional boxing debut against former WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder by decorated gold holder, Terence Crawford, with the Batié native warned about a potential devastating KO loss.

Ngannou, a ruthless knockout artist in his own right, has been sidelined from combat sports since January of last year, most recently headlining UFC 270 against former interim heavyweight champion, Ciryl Gane – successfully unifying the titles in a unanimous decision win over the Frenchman.

Electing to depart the UFC in January of this year following the completion of his contractual obligations with the promotion, Ngannou penned terms on a monumental deal with the Peter Murray-led PFL earlier this month.

And expected to remain sidelined from mixed martial arts until next year, Cameroonian heavyweight, Francis Ngannou is slated to switch focus to a long-rumored debut in the squared-circle – eyeing fights against the likes of the above-mentioned, Wilder, current champion, Tyson Fury, and former gold holder, Anthony Joshua.

Francis Ngannou issued real warning ahead of expected boxing debut

However, according to welterweight kingpin, the undefeated, Crawford, Ngannou would be wise to avoid a fight with Wilder in the future – warning him of a potential brutal knockout loss he could be on the receiving end of.

“If he (Deontay Wilder) hits you, you’re going to sleep,” Terence Crawford told Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour while discussing Francis Ngannou. “Deontay Wilder, he hits you, you’re going to sleep. Tyson Fury, he went to sleep and woke up. I don’t see too many other guys doing that. Deontay Wilder is one of the biggest punchers ever, so just keep that in mind.”

Winning undisputed UFC heavyweight gold back in March 2021, Ngannou landed the undisputed title with a thunderous second round KO win over Stipe Miocic, avenging a prior decision loss to the Ohio veteran.
