Dan Lambert was joined by Junior dos Santos, Andrei Arlovski and Jorge Masvidal as ATT made an appearance at AEW All Out over the weekend.

Lambert is the owner and founder of American Top Team, and also happens to be a huge professional wrestling fan. He has made a number of appearances at All Elite Wrestling events since it’s formation, showing some impressive skills on the mic. His latest appearance took place this Sunday, at the company’s biggest pay-per-view event of the year.

Accompanied by his fighters and AEW stars Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky, Lambert cut a promo hyping up the mixed martial artists and wrestlers, perhaps teasing a nearby collaboration.

.@AmericanTopTeam’s #DanLambert is here in a skybox with @junior_cigano, @GamebredFighter, @andreiarlovski & #MenOfTheYear @ScorpioSky & @OfficialEGO and they are putting all of #AEW on notice.

While none of the ATT standouts Lambert has brought with him to AEW events have actually competed in the ring, it’s certainly helped them gain exposure and could potentially set them up for a new career once their MMA days are over. Arlovski and dos Santos both drew cheers, while Masvidal garnered the biggest reaction.

While all three men are still active in their MMA careers, they appeared to enjoy taking part in the event and could possibly make the transition later on. Appearing alongside Lambert certainly seemed to put their foot in the door.

All Out was a massive success for the fast-rising wrestling promotion. On top of a series of highly anticipated wrestling matches, it also saw the debut of a number of high-profile signings, including former WWE stars Ruby Soho (fka Ruby Riot), Bryan Danielson (fka Daniel Bryan), and Adam Cole.

AEW has continuously grown out their roster, and appear more than happy to take on some newcomers who can come in with same name value already behind them.

What did you think of Dan Lambert’s promo? Will we see any MMA fighters make the switch to pro wrestling?

Dan Lambert of American Top Team thinks Colby Covington is “better off” after leaving his gym.

The ATT founder played a key role in Covington’s ascension to the top of UFC and his transition from a “pretty quiet” guy to one of the most controversial figures in MMA.

As ‘Chaos’ transformed into the brash, straight-talking, Trump-loving, confrontational fighter we see today, his relationships with his ATT teammates became strained.

Covington was beefing with Dustin Poirier, Jorge Masvidal, and Joanna Jedrzejczyk during his final months at the Florida-based MMA gym.

The 33-year-old ultimately left Lambert’s gym and found a new home at MMA Masters. Since then, Covington has secured a fifth-round TKO win over Tyron Woodley and another shot at UFC gold. He’s due to square off against Kamaru Usman for the second time at UFC 268 on November 6.

In a recent interview with LowKickMMA, Lambert insisted that he has no hard feelings towards Covington and stated his belief that ‘Chaos’ is best off away from ATT.

“I’ve talked to him a few times after he left the team. I have no problems with Colby,” Lambert told Darnell Giovani. “I don’t think he has any problems with me. He just, you know, his personality and who he was and how he chose to promote himself just doesn’t really mesh with having a big gym with a hundred fighters. If Colby had stuck to sh*tting on Brazil and you know, maybe supporting the presidential nominee of his choice, he would have been fine in the gym. But when you start attacking other people in your gym and commenting on other people that aren’t even your weight class, or even in your gender of fighting it doesn’t make for a comfortable situation in the gym. I think he’s better off being in a smaller gym that can focus on him and he can keep his shtick going with everybody else in the world.”

Do you agree with Dan Lambert? Is Colby Covington better off at a smaller gym?

Dan Lambert will be watching and rooting for Tyron Woodley when he makes his boxing debut on Sunday.

The American Top Team founder is a big fan of “T-Wood” and is happy to see the former UFC welterweight champion in a lucrative and winnable fight at the tail end of his career.

In a recent interview with LowKickMMA, Lambert said that he believes Woodley will beat Jake Paul, but only he has prepared for his boxing debut in the correct manner.

“I’m not going to be there for the fight,” Lambert told Darnell Giovani. “I will certainly be watching and cheering on T-Wood. This is exactly what he needs at this point in his life,”

“If T-Wood prepared properly and trained hard and is in good shape, yes, I do,” Lambert said when asked if he thinks Woodley beats Paul. “If he’s not, I think he loses.”

Although he will be rooting against Paul this weekend, Lambert couldn’t help admire what the internet celebrity has been able to achieve in his short boxing career.

“I think that guy can probably be successful in a lot of worlds because he brings a totally different demographic of eyeballs and buyers, if it’s a pay-per-view, to the table,” Lambert said. “I mean, the numbers he put up in those exhibition bouts, fights, boxing matches whatever the hell you want to call them. Him and his brother they’re big, big numbers, but I don’t think those are the same guys that are buying pro wrestling pay-per-views and I don’t think those same guys that are buying MMA pay-per-views. I think it’s a whole new crowd of people and there’s a sh*t ton of them. A lot of people in MMA don’t really like his shtick or what he’s doing. But, man, how do you not sit back and be impressed by it?”

Do you agree with Dan Lambert? If Tyron Woodley shows up properly prepared on August 29, will he beat Jake Paul?

American Top Team (ATT) owner Dan Lambert is no longer co-managing Colby Covington.

Covington and Lambert are extremely close with the latter not only serving as his gym owner, but also managing him over the years. Things even remained amicable when Covington decided he needed a change in management and decided to go with Ballengee Group.

It was revealed that Lambert would still be co-managing him at the time. However, that is no longer the case anymore, especially after Covington’s recent departure from ATT.

“I have not talked to Colby for probably a couple of months,” Lambert told BJPenn.com after revealing he no longer managed him. “Once he made the announcement that he was going to leave [ATT], I haven’t spoken to him.

“But, I know I will, I have no ill-will towards Colby. I think he made the right decision for him and his career doing his own thing. Colby did his own thing when he was here anyway.”

Trash Talk Rule Still In Effect Since Covington Departure

Covington had been a longtime member of ATT, but things turned hostile when he started trash talking fellow teammates such as Jorge Masvidal, Dustin Poirier and Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

It reached a point where Covington had to be worried about getting into fights at the gym while Lambert later had to implement a zero tolerance policy on trash talking between ATT teammates.

The rule is still in effect since Covington’s departure, but is now unlikely to be broken according to Lambert.

“I guess it is still a rule but it is a rule you don’t need without Colby being there,” Lambert added. “We have had a lot of people fight each other without an issue. But, it became an issue because Colby is a polarizing figure and he has a unique personality and a unique marketing approach.

“It made life a little difficult. I think it worked for Colby as he made more money and got farther in his career, but I don’t know if he needed that character inside our gym. Personally, he should’ve stuck on sh*tting on Brazil and supporting Donald Trump.”

It’s hard to say if sticking to the Brazil insults would have changed things — especially given how many Brazilians at ATT were not pleased with Covington’s antics.

Regardless, what do you think of Lambert no longer co-managing Covington?
