Elon Musk already knows how he will defeat Russian leader Vladimir Putin in an MMA match.

Musk has jokingly sent shots at Putin, asking him to meet inside the cage for a match. Musk is currently also helping the Ukrainian efforts in fending off the Russian invasion. Russia is currently targeting the Ukrainian power grids to wipe out the internet and cause dysfunction around the whole area. Ukraine has since used Musk’s satellites, as they are able to use the Internet without their information being in jeopardy.

Putin is a big MMA fan and loves to be around the athletes as well. He attended Fedor Emelianenko’s last fight, as Bellator held the event in Moscow, Russia, before Russian invaded Ukraine. Putin also met with Conor McGregor back in 2018. The two posed for a picture and shared the company of one another during the 2018 World Cup that was hosted in Russian. McGregor even gifted Putin a bottle of his “Proper No.12” Irish whiskey.

Elon Musk joined the NELK boys “Fun Send” podcast when he had issued his challenge towards Putin

“I challenged him [Putin] to single combat. MMA-style. Listen, it’ll be a pay-per-view. It’ll be an interesting question because he’s good at martial arts and he’s pretty buff. You’ve seen those pictures of him on a horse… I do have a bit of a weight advantage… I think I’m 30% bigger than him. I’m going to use a move called the walrus, where I just lie on you. You can’t get away.” Musk said (Transcribed by Sportskeeda)

Musk is currently one of the richest person in the entire world. He was on the verge of buying Twitter a couple months back, but that deal had ultimately fell through, as there may be some legal dispute around the deal as well.

Fedor Emelianenko is taking on a new role in MMA, outside the cage.

The Russian superstar and legend of the sport Fedor Emelianenko has been elected as the President of the Russian MMA Union (RMMAU). Emelianenko received the majority of the votes cast in the election on Tuesday according to TASS.com. Emelianenko beat out former president Radmir Gabdullin in The MMA Union Conference election that was held in Moscow, Russia. Gabdullin will remain on as vice president according to TASS.

At 45 years old, Fedor Emelianenko continues to fight. He assured TASS that the new role will not take away from his fight career. He has been fighting professionally since 2000.

“I will continue my career,” he said. “The fight is said to be scheduled for September. It will be difficult to combine, but it is a necessity.”

The fight he is speaking about could be his last, although no firm retirement plans have been set. His last fight was under the Bellator banner in which he defeated Timothy Johnson via first-round KO in Russia. Rumors of his possibly facing Junior dos Santos were expressed by both Scott Coker of Bellator and Khabib Nurmagomedov of Eagle FC, but neither seemed to have panned out.

Fedor Emelianenko was interested in a rematch with Ryan Bader most recently according to Coker, but again, no plans for his next bout are cemented just yet.

The Russian team was forced to compete as the RMMAU in the IMMAF World Championships in January, but due to doping sanctions issued against Russia by the World Anti-Doping Agency. They were due to appear in the MMA Super Cup in March but due to the war with Ukraine was disinvited.

What do you think of Fedor Emelianenko as the president of the RMMAU?

Dana White has booked so many great fights throughout the years, but Fedor Emelianenko vs Brock Lesnar was the fighter that got away.

At the time, Lesnar and Emelianenko were two of the biggest draws in the MMA world. Lesnar bursted onto the UFC scene and it didn’t take long for him to be a fan favorite, and win a title. In just his third fight in the UFC, Lesnar beat Randy Couture by TKO for the Heavyweight championship. He then went on to defend the title twice against Frank Mir and Shane Carwin, who were two of the most dangerous Heavyweight fighters at that time.

Emelianenko around the same time was running through every heavyweight that was put in front of him, in multiple leagues. While he was in Pride FC and Adrenaline MMA, Emelianenko was beating former UFC Champions like Andrei Arlovski and Tim Sylvia. He is widely considered one of the best MMA fighters of all time, even though he never had a chance to showcase his talents in the UFC.

Dana White was fielding questions from the fan when he truthfully answered that he is still bothered by the fact that he never booked the fight

“I’ve made every fight that was ever possible to make in MMA including Mayweather and McGregor. The only fight that I ever failed to make was Fedor vs. Brock. Every other fight that we ever thought about or fans wanted to see or whatever it was, I made. That’s probably the one I couldn’t pull off.” White answered.(Transcribed by BJPenn.com)

There are many fan favorite fights that unfortunately never came to fruition, that many would have loved to see. This fight between two of the best heavyweights ever, will just have to enter that same list.

What is a fight that you always wanted to see, but never was made?
