Floyd Mayweather on Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson: ‘He can continue to steal money’

Former multiple time and weight world champion, Floyd Mayweather has praised Jake Paul’s entrepreneurial skills to lure former heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson into a November boxing match – claiming the Ohio native is simply “stealing” money.

Paul, an outspoken professional boxer and social media influencer, turned in his tenth professional victory earlier this year against UFC alum turned BKFC (Bare Knuckle FIghting Championship) star, Mike Perry – stopping the Flint native with a stunning sixth round knockout win in Tampa, Florida.

And now booked once more to take on former heavyweight world champion, Tyson in a much-scrutinized professional boxing match in November, Paul’s skills to apparently “steal” money from fans and promoters is second to none.

Floyd Mayweather talks Jake Paul’s boxing career

“What he’s (Jake Paul) doing is kinda cool,” Floyd Mayweather told Treasure Hustle. “If he can continue to steal money and they match him the way they match him, I can’t knock his hustle.”

“If they can match him the way that they have been, more power to him,” Floyd Mayweather explained. “

Despite his inactivity and time away from the squared circle, Tyson predicted earlier this week how he would land a vicious and definitive win over Paul when they share the boxing ring before the end of the year in ‘The Lone Star State’.

“Very painfully,” Mike Tyson warned Jake Paul during their press conference overnight in New York. “Be in shape. Be in good shape because your health depends on it.”

“I think he’s (Mike Tyson) a mitt warrior,” Jake Paul replied. “The Instagram videos are cute but we’ll see what happens in the ring on November 15. At the end of the day, we’ll see if he’s still got it.”

“Listen, as soon as I catch this guy, he’s going to be running around,” Mike Tyson responded. “As soon as I catch this guy, it’s going to be totally over. He’s going to run like a thief.”

Ex-UFC star Jorge Masvidal setting sights on Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul after Nate Diaz fight

After taking care of a bit of business with Nate Diaz, Jorge Masvidal has his sights set on a scrap with ‘Money’ Mayweather.

Stepping away from the Octagon following a four-fight losing skid, ‘Gamebred’ will test his skills in the sweet science when he makes his pro boxing debut against the ‘Stockton Samurai’ on Saturday, July 6. Their fight will emanate from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, and will be available on multiple platforms, including Fanmio, DAZN, and UFC FightPass.

Jorge Masvidal

Masvidal plans on it being the first of three boxing bouts before he makes his return to the UFC. As far as who else he hopes to share the ring with, ‘Gamebred’ is dreaming big. During a recent interview with Michael Bisping on the former middleweight champ’s YouTube channel, Masvidal revealed that he would like to throw hands with Logan Paul before going after legendary pugilist Floyd Mayweather.

“I wouldn’t mind a fight with Logan [Paul] and just breaking all the pay-per-view records and having more time to box. … And then go after [Floyd] Mayweather,” Masvidal said.

Floyd Mayweather returns to the ring in August for a rematch with John Gotti III

Though Mayweather retired from the sport of boxing following a 50th career win against Irish megastar Conor McGregor in 2017, ‘Money’ has remained active by competing in a series of exhibition fights around the world. His most recent appearance in the ring came in June 2023 when he squared off with John Gotti III at the FLA Live Arena in Sunshine, Florida.

Their meeting ended in utter chaos when Gotti III was disqualified in the opening minute of the sixth rough, prompting an all-out brawl to break out between the two corners.

The two will run it back on August 24 in Mexico City.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. and John Gotti III are finally ready to run it back.

Mayweather revealed that the rematch would go down on Saturday, August 24 in Mexico City, a little more than a year removed from their chaotic clash in June 2023.

Aside from the finish, their first meeting inside the FLA Live Arena was fairly forgettable. In the sixth round, referee Kenny Bayless disqualified Gotti III for repeatedly grabbing Mayweather. An infuriated Gotti III attempted to restart the scrap himself, prompting an all-out brawl inside the ring.

Gotti III was slapped with a six-month suspension from the DBPR Florida Athletic Commission. Mayweather was not penalized.

“Punk b*tch, you my enemy for life. [Conor McGregor], we need back up. Bum never put me down or stopped me it was a DQ for no reason,” Gotti III wrote on social media immediately following the incident.

Gotti III later confirmed that he and ‘Money’ had squashed their beef during an appearance on The MMA Hour and were in active talks for the rematch.

Floyd Mayweather continues his exhibition world tour with Gotti III rematch

Gotti III, the grandson of notorious mafioso and Gambino crime family boss John Gotti, got his combat sports career started in the cage, amassing an impressive 5-0 record in mixed martial arts before suffering an upset against Nick Alley under the CES banner 2020.

Since then, Gotti III has transitioned to boxing, earning back-to-back wins against Albert Tulley and Alex Citrowske before scoring the exhibition match with Mayweather.

Closing out his career as a pro with an undefeated 50-0 record, ‘Money’ has stayed busy with a series of exhibition bouts around the world. He’s squared off with current WWE Superstar Logan Paul, Japanese kickboxing icon Nasukawa Tenshin, former sparring partner Don Moore, RIZIN star Mikuru Asakura, and Deji Olatunji, the younger brother of YouTube sensation KSI.

Floyd Mayweather roasts Bill Haney in argument is your son unbeaten under the lights

Floyd Mayweather and Bill Haney, the father of Devin Haney got into a heated argument following his son’s loss to Ryan Garcia over the weekend.

Mayweather and Haney were on an Instagram Live, and the undefeated boxer took shots at Haney for his son’s los to Garcia.

Floyd Mayweather roasts Bill Haney

“I reached out to you to let you know that I don’t have nothing against you, when did you and me go wrong? When did you and me start having beef? Last time I seen you in Miami, we kicked it and had a good time. Now all of a sudden it seems like Bill Haney is my enemy,” Floyd Mayweather said (via Mirror).

Haney quickly fired back at Mayweather after his comments:

“I feel like you’re bull**** based on your actions about everybody that’s been in the town that’s been down with you,” Bill told Mayweather. They doing dirtball bad, ain’t nobody doing real good f****ing with you. You told me about what you’d do with Tank, you seen what I did with my son? When you went to go talk and do the deal, it wasn’t something he felt like he wanted to do. He wanted to be a boss so the deal didn’t happen.”

The two continued their exchange, as Floyd Mayweather criticized Bill for Haney no longer being undefeated:

“Congratulations on you having an undefeated fighter in the gym, but I am undefeated under the lights. Is your fighter undefeated under the lights? “Bill, I don’t have to have a p***ing contest with you,” Mayweather said.

Haney, meanwhile, was adamant his son would rebound from the loss, and Floyd Mayweather then told him to phone him directly.

“You know what time it is with me when I see you. The Haney business will be continuing, have I ever needed your help with anything? My son needs me, tomorrow today and every day. We don’t need you for dog s***,” Bill responded.

Devin Haney interested in rematch with Ryan Garcia

Devin Haney suffered a stunning upset loss to Ryan Garcia on Saturday, as he was a sizeable betting favorite.

Ryan Garcia knocks down Devin Haney three times, scores majority decision win - Haney vs. Garcia Highlights

It was a surprise loss from Haney, who was dropped multiple times and after the defeat, he is calling for a rematch with Garcia.

Although Haney is calling for a rematch, Garcia will likely not fight at 140lbs anymore, so if the rematch happens, it would have to be up a weight class.

Logan Paul has twice declined to run back his 2021 fight with Floyd Mayweather: 'You need it way more than I do'

Logan Paul has no interest in running back his 2021 clash with Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather.

Three years ago, the elder Paul brother stepped inside the ring for an exhibition bout at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Going to an eight-round draw, fans have been clamoring for a rematch ever since.

Logan Paul vs. Floyd Maweather

Actually, that’s not true. Nobody cares. We’re not sure anyone even remembers the first fight.

Still, during an In Depth With Graham Bensinger appearance, Logan Paul revealed that Mayweather came calling for a sequel on more than one occasion. Paul, who keeps himself busy as the current WWE United States Champion, has little interest in going toe-to-toe with the iconic pugilist again — unless his piece of the pie is much bigger.

“Yeah. He asked me. He asked me,” Paul claims. “Twice. He was supposed to fight someone on top of the Burj Al Arab in Dubai – it fell through. He asked if I wanted to step in. I said no. He’s not a person you take a fight on six weeks notice with, and not with the goal that I have. I already fought Floyd Mayweather. If I did it again, it would be to beat Floyd Mayweather – which I think is doable. I just need to train proper… And also if I fought him again it wouldn’t be 85/15, it’s 50/50. ‘F*ck you bro, I don’t need this sh*t. You need it way more than I do.’”

Logan Paul likes the idea of being the first fighter to KO ‘Money’ Mayweather

Admittedly, Logan Paul can’t help but like the idea of becoming the first fighter to KO Mayweather in the ring. That, and a bigger bag, might be enough to entice him to sign on the dotted line someday.

I just feel like I got bigger fish to fry, literally,” Paul said. “But the idea of being the only person to knock out Floyd Mayweather excites me. I would also request 10 rounds, because I was coming alive at the end. He was not.”

Until then, Paul will have his hands full when he defends his WWE gold against Randy Orton and Kevin Owens in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania 40 next month.

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather visits Jerusalem, receives 'Champion of Israel' award

Floyd Mayweather received an award for his humanitarian efforts in Israeli-occupied Jerusalem.

The boxing icon, who has publicly supported Israel during the genocide in Gaza, was gifted what appeared to be a diamond-encrusted Kippur for his pro-Israel advocacy while visiting Aish HaTorah and the United Hatzalah headquarters on Tuesday, March 12.

“Mayweather was one of the first to support and mobilize his resources in solidarity with the State of Israel,” United Hatzalah stated. “After first sending his private plane to deliver medical equipment to the country to help those injured, Mayweather embarked yesterday on a visit to see and support Israel from up close” (h/t JNS).

“The rooftop is some of the best real estate in the world,” Mayweather said, per an Aish release. “Aish has welcomed me and my team in Jerusalem before, and it is very exciting to be back. This place is amazing. Everyone should come and visit here.”

Mayweather wore a large Star of David necklace and was noticeably emotional when he met Hatzalah volunteers along with Eli Beer and Eli Pollak, Hatzalah’s president and founder and its CEO respectively.
