Jorge Masvidal has a simple message to Conor McGregor — sign a contract for a fight and then they could start talking trash to each other.

The idea of a McGregor vs. Masvidal fight has been floating around for a while and perhaps, even more so after the latter defeated Nate Diaz at UFC 244 on Saturday night. But when asked about the prospect of facing the Irishman afterward, Masvidal maintained that he would be too much for McGregor.

McGregor would respond with a jab at Masvidal the following day:

“Hey @BurgerKing, could I get a 3 piece with soda and a side chicken box please? Loads of salt and vinegar. Thanks,” McGregor tweeted referencing Masvidal’s three piece and a soda comment.

When asked what to make of McGregor’s tweet by Ariel Helwani on the Helwani Show on Monday, Masvidal responded:

“I’m guessing because he’s a salty a** dude, that’s how he gets salty by asking for salt and vinegar at the drive thru because I never ask for salt and vinegar,” Masvidal said. “French fries usually come pretty seasoned. That dude wanted to make a point that he asked for salt. That’s probably why his levels of saltiness are so f*cking through the roof.

“Call Dana, tell your assistant’s assistant to call Dana White and throw some numbers at our way. If you want to get your a** kicked in April, just stop talking bro. We’re going to scrap, we’re going to scrap. Just sign the contract, then we can do all the sh*t talking.”

Helwani would refer to McGregor’s use of chicken in the tweet to perhaps imply that Masvidal was scared to fight him. But that only brought a laugh and some sarcasm out of the new BMF champion:

“You guys are so funny,” Masvidal responded. “Yeah, I don’t want to fight that guy, bro. So scary. No, please, no. Not a chance. Get the f*ck out of my face. You kidding me with these questions?

As things continue to heat up between the two, maybe a fight could happen after all.

What do you think of Masvidal’s message to McGregor?

Jorge Masvidal is very serious about the prospect of facing Canelo Alvarez in a boxing match.

Masvidal emerged victorious over Nate Diaz in their UFC 244 headliner on Saturday night after a dominant performance. The event was so highly-anticipated that Alvarez’s title fight with Sergei Kovalev was delayed until after UFC 244 was over.

Speaking after his win, Masvidal said he would love to face Alvarez in a boxing match. And appearing on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show on Monday, he further expanded as to why he think he would do well in the sweet science:

“”I’m dead serious about trying to fight Canelo Alvarez,” Masvidal said. “Give me a nice little change, I’ll take my talents over there. I feel like I can shock the world. Is Canelo a better boxer than me? Has he thrown ten thousands jabs more than me because that’s what he does morning and night, yeah, he’s a better boxer.

“But can I bring some elements that boxers ain’t used to that are in the legal realm of boxing and throw Canelo completely off his game? F*ck yes, man. I’m a natural bigger dude. I punch like a f*cking truck. If I got boxing gloves on, I’m not afraid of breaking my hand because I got that cast on so I’ll be swinging extra harder. I feel like I could be a legitimate a** threat in there. Plus I’m a little longer. In the wake of the Conor-Mayweather fight, showed me a lot of things that they were really bad [at]. They can’t read us as well as maybe they can read a boxer especially in the early insights of the fight.”

That said, “Gamebred” still has tons of respect for Alvarez. The boxing middleweight champion established himself as arguably the pound-for-pound best boxer in the world following his knockout of Kovalev, having moved up to a new weight class in doing so.

But that won’t stop Masvidal from wanting to destroy the Mexican in the ring:

“I’ll be going for the knockout obviously. Nothing else,” Masvidal added. “This is not to disrespect Canelo because I think the dude is a beast. It would be an honor to get in the ring with him.

“But he did say some sh*t like no MMA fights would be a challenge. I beg to differ, my brother. I would really love to be the guy that tried to end his f*cking face, just destroy him.”

Over the weekend (Sat. November 2, 2019) WWE legend and Hollywood star The Rock was in attendance for UFC 244 in New York City. The Rock, real name Dwayne Johnson, presented Jorge Masvidal with the Baddest Mother F*cker Championship.

Johnson took to Instagram recently to reflect on his involvement in the Madison Square Garden show. Here’s what he had to say.

“Man, as many of you know (and witnessed) I’ve had the cool honor to raise many heavyweight titles over my head at the @thegarden from my wild pro wrestling career.
This one was special and super f’n cool. The @ufc crowd energy was next level. As was my gratitude.”

Johnson then took to Instagram to praise Masvidal, his fellow Miami native, who topped Nate Diaz for the BMF Title.

“My brotha @gamebredfighter looked sharp in that octagon. Evolved skill set. Rare air. Promise kept. The Baddest Muthaf*cka on the planet. Congrats @gamebredfighter.”

“Away from all the noise, good to have a quiet moment. I’m always impressed with an individual’s discipline and commitment to succeed. But I’m impressed more with how one handles their success and that level of intense pressure to be #1. Congrats @gamebredfighter for being that example, raising the bar and getting the job done. My goal was to help promote this fight as much as I could in hopes that. Jorge, @natediaz209 and all the fighters could make as much money?as possible at the Garden – that was completely sold out. Congrats! Thanks brotha for having the brilliant idea to have me present the BMF Title to you. Always got you. Hardest workers in the room. BMF in the game. Now go destroy some MF’n cheat meals “

Masvidal and Diaz main evented the UFC 244 event, where “Gamebred” seemingly dominated the first three rounds. While Diaz got his shots in, the Stockton native was cut up very bad, dropped several times, and nearly finished on a number of occasions. Despite picking up the pace late in the third round, the doctor decided to stop the fight due to Diaz’s two massive cuts on his eye.

Diaz and Masvidal both want a rematch, but UFC president Dana White has expressed no interest in such a fight.

It didn’t take long for Conor McGregor to react to Jorge Masvidal’s UFC 244 win and subsequent comments.

Masvidal dominated Nate Diaz en route to a controversial third-round TKO doctor stoppage victory in the headliner on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden, New York. While some have called for a rematch, others believe Masvidal should fight for the title next or even better — McGregor.

The idea of a McGregor vs. Masvidal fight has been there for a while, however, UFC president Dana White was not receptive to it as he said the latter was too big. “Gamebred” would take that further saying he would have a murder charge if he fought the Irishman and that he’s too much man for him.

He repeated those sentiments yesterday at the post-fight press conference:

“You know what the f*ck I’ll do to that little dude,” Masvidal said. “I’ll f*ck that little guy up. He’s a f*cking midget. Dana White, president of this motherf*cking company said I’m too much man for him. I get it why people want to see him hurt for the stunts he’s been pulling. But he don’t want this shit.

“He’s just talking so he gets his name out there. He was cheering for Nate. … You see he punches old people in the face because those are fights he could win. He don’t want this sh*t. … You can’t get that dude to sign the paper.”

And McGregor would respond with a jab on social media on Sunday:

“Hey @BurgerKing, could I get a 3 piece with soda and a side chicken box please? Loads of salt and vinegar. Thanks,” McGregor tweeted referencing Masvidal’s three piece and a soda comment.

Maybe if there’s enough interest, fans may convince White and get to see them throw down at some point.

Do you want to see these two fight next?

Although it ended in controversial fashion, Jorge Masvidal got arguably the biggest win of his career on Saturday night — and he received props from President Donald Trump.

Masvidal took on Diaz for the BMF title in the UFC 244 headliner in Madison Square Garden, New York. The event was billed as the biggest card of the year and it certainly felt that way, especially when news broke that Trump would be in attendance.

The commander-in-chief would eventually show up as he witnessed Masvidal put a clinic on Diaz for the 15 minutes that they fought. “Gamebred” would drop a bloodied Diaz multiple times and looked to be on top in every department. Unfortunately, the doctor called an end to the contest just before the fourth round due to a cut near Diaz’s eye.

While the controversial finish may have taken away Masvidal’s performance from the public eye, Trump was certainly impressed as he congratulated “Gamebred” on Sunday morning:

“Great fight Champ!” he tweeted.

Regardless of anyone’s views on Trump, getting an endorsement from the President will only further boost Masvidal’s stock which has been exponentially rising in 2019.

What do you think of Trump congratulating Masvidal? Do you think “Gamebred” is a bona fide star now?
