Hey Strikeforce! What About Corissa Furr?!?!?

Hey, we’re all excited about the Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley card this Saturday night. Hey, we’re all excited about the Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley card this Saturday night. We are thankful for the two title-fights including headliners, Nick Diaz vs. Paul Daley for the Welterweight division and Gilbert Melendez vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri for the Lightweight division. And man, no matter how much of a last resort replacement an underdog he is, we love seeing Keith Jardine on the card against Gegard Mousasi.

But wait! What about those Rockstar Ring Girls? I don’t even know any of their names except that one, Kelli Hutcherson who’s super skinny yet blonde with a decent sized rack so she’s totally hot, but what happened to Corissa Furr? Do we get to see her again? Remember we voted her in as the winner of that Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson successful popular contest everyone knew about, cared, and paid attention to intense Facebook search that yielded a whole 20 (or less) entries and Furr won with a whopping 904 votes? Please dear Strikeforce gods, give her a contract.

Arianny Celeste is Good in a Threesome

We all recall the dynamic Octagon Girl duo that kicked off our interest in the UFC promotion, Amber Nicole and Rachelle Leah. But somewhere along the way, Nicole dropped off and we got this threesome:

Rachelle Leah, Arianny Celeste, Ali Sonoma

Rachelle Leah, Arianny Celeste, Ali Sonoma

Then we sadly lost Leah to television hosting gigs and for some brief period that I don’t even recall, we got this threesome:

Anne Rivera, Arianny Celeste, Ali Sonoma

Anne Rivera, Arianny Celeste, Ali Sonoma

Then I honestly have no clue why Anne Rivera split the team, but we also lost Ali Sonoma as she went off to almost marry this guy, (which makes us wonder how insane she must be). But that lead us to this threesome:

Arianny Celeste, Edith Labelle, Logan Stanton

Arianny Celeste, Edith Labelle, Logan Stanton

And then Edith Labelle got fired for being drunk and hungover and missing UFC 100 or something so we were given this threesome:

Logan Stanton, Holly Madison, Arianny Celeste

Logan Stanton, Holly Madison, Arianny Celeste

But Holly Madison was just a surprise replacement and not really an option ’cause she’s a celebrity so they held a search for the next UFC Ring Girl and we got, this threesome:

Logan Stanton, Arianny Celeste, Natasha Wicks

Logan Stanton, Arianny Celeste, Natasha Wicks

Then some bad shit must have happened and we were told part of it had to do with this interview Logan Stanton and Natasha Wicks gave to us saying Josh Koscheck faked an eye poke: here and so they were released from their contracts and then we got Chandella Powell and we were still okay with it ’cause we didn’t lose Arianny but then we were like, “Hey UFC! Can we please get another girl?” and UFC said, “Hold on, we’re absorbing WEC and by the first of the new year you’ll get this threesome“:

Chandella Powell, Arianny Celeste, Brittney Palmer

Chandella Powell, Arianny Celeste, Brittney Palmer

We like our 2011 trio quite a bit, but we have to admit, we still miss the original three. Props to UFC for always knowing that no matter what threesome you give us, it better include Arianny Celeste.  But if we could…we’d go back here again:

Ali Sonoma, Rachelle Leah, Arianny Celeste

Ali Sonoma, Rachelle Leah, Arianny Celeste

There’s Going to Be a New Fight News Show… or Something… the Press Release is Confusing

A show I was told will be airing on Canada’s The Fight Network is set to start production and stream on the internet in July. I think. I’m not sure if whoever wrote this press release is foreign and doesn’t have the best grasp to write the English language or if he’s a product of the American public school system which has continued to suffer financial cut backs in these trying economical times. I don’t know. You help me out. Take a look at the release below:

Newly formed seg Santoro entertainment group is scheduled to make thier presence felt in North American MMA, in 2011. They have teamed up with three internet marketing companies to combined there effort. They are all teamed up under one banner now ,Santoro Entertainment Group, spear heading operations for the organization is Pasqualino Santoro who you will recall was the promoter who took alone stand against the ABC American boxing and wrestling commission, better yet, Tim Lukenoff, president of the ABC. Through our understanding ABC tried to flex his muscle on Mr. Santoro show Colloseo championship fighting 5 resurrection to the ABC disappointment the show went off without a hitch, and no fighters where injured using Japanese dream rules.
After taking a little more then a year off, he has made this announcement since colloseo championship fighting cannot get a TV deal we will just make are own internet channel to broadcast our fights for free and it steamrolled into a whole new area for us and grew and we are where we are at now.
Through the partnership of a internet streaming company we have access to the fans of the sport we have never had. They are guiding us in a whole new direction. Hel,l who would want to buy a HD PPV or have to order a channel just to see one or two shows? We have developed a weekly news program that will start airing in July. Anchoring the news show will be Amy Hayes .

As noted in the release, Amy Hayes will be hosting the show and judging by the picture above, she looks like a very good host. The press release went on to say:

The program will start airing in June.

And that’s weird since it said in the first section that it would air in July. But we don’t care about semantics ’cause we read this part and decided these guys are geniuses.

We asked about having female news correspondence. They can handle there own, he said, just like the fighters make the promotion, the product these correspondence make are show in the fight game. Who wants to see a male news correspondent?

We at Fix welcome this new show (whatever it’s called). Did the press release give it a name? And now… [as expected from us] pictures of Amy Hayes and her co-anchor on this show, Stephanie Lee.
