Gearing up for his showdown with Francis Ngannou on October 28, Tyson Fury headed to Phuket, Thailand alongside his father and coach John Fury.

The reigning WBC heavyweight champion is slated for a scrap with the former UFC titleholder in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh. Ahead of their massive crossover contest, ‘The Gypsy King’ took a trip to The Land of Smiles over the summer. While there, Fury was seen partying and taking in a few fight cards at Rajadamnern Muay Thai Stadium.

Speaking about his experience traveling to Thailand with the heavyweight champ, John Fury appears to have fallen in love with the country known for its sweltering weather and brutal Muay Thai events.

“All the men are warriors over there. All the women are warriors, never mind the men,” John Fury an ambassador for Free Bets said in a LowKick MMA exclusive interview. “They all love fighting, don’t they? The whole place is built on violence, isn’t it? They’re lovely people to speak to. We enjoyed it there. It was fabulous. We got received very well, but you can see the only thing that the people have got on their mind is fighting and gambling. Gambling and fighting, what a combination!”.

“I enjoyed Thailand. It was an eye-opener for me. The weather was very hot over there. It’s a totally different way of life than the one we live here. They’re a lot tougher race. I went to a few of the Thai boxing events and my god, it was brutal. Big guys made of titanium just getting the p*ss and sh*t knocked out of each other. It was an unbelievable experience for me to watch it. To be honest with you, I felt like a p*ssy out there”.

Both of John Fury’s Boys Will Be in Action This Month

John Fury will be a very busy man this month as both of his sons will be in action. First, undefeated standout Tommy Fury will return to the squared circle for a matchup with social media star KSI as part of Misfits Boxing’s ‘The PRIME Card’ on October 14 in Manchester. Two weeks later, ‘The Gypsy King’ will meet Francis Ngannou in a heavyweight showdown in the Middle East before reportedly returning to the country two months later for a long-awaited title unification bout with Oleksandr Usyk.

Exclusive: John Fury wants to see Tyson Fury and Jon Jones ‘Beat the hell out of each other’ in potential fight

John Fury, the father of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and undefeated British standout Tommy Fury, hopes to see the former lock up with UFC star Jon Jones in an all-out war someday.

On October 28, Tyson Fury returns to the ring for a showdown with former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh. The matchup was announced on the heel of a budding rivalry between Tyson Fury and Jon Jones, who had gone back and forth on social media in response to longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan suggesting that ‘Bones’ would mop the floor with the superstar pugilist should the two ever find themselves locked in a room together.

Before signing on the dotted line for a fight with Ngannou, Tyson Fury revealed that the UFC had made an offer to book a hybrid-rules fight between himself and Jones. Of course, ‘The Gypsy King’ went a different route, choosing to welcome Ngannou to the squared circle, but Fury has every intention of revisiting his rivalry with Jon Jones in the future.

Speaking about a potential clash between the two fighters, John Fury suggested that, whether it be in the cage or the ring, both men should come out determined to take one another’s head off.

“I don’t want to see him fight Jon Jones in an exhibition. Let them two men beat the hell out of each other, John Fury said in a LowKick MMA exclusive interview. “Let’s just see what that can bring to the table. Let Jon Jones do his thing. Let Tyson do his thing. Let Tyson get his training. Let Jon Jones get his training and let them two men rip each other to bits and the last man standing to put his hands in the air and say, ‘This is it.‘”

Tyson Fury has already shown an interest in doing some cross-promotional work, though those plans could be delayed with the recent announcement that ‘The Gyspy King’ will finally face Oleksandr Usyk in a heavyweight title unification bout less than two months after his fight with Francis Ngannou. Per a report from ESPN, the contract contains a two-way rematch clause that the loser of the matchup can trigger for a return bout.

That means Fury and Usky’s hitches could be tied together for some time, even after their winter-time tussle is in the books.

Former boxing heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson predicts the upcoming boxing match between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou.

On October 28, Fury and Ngannou are set to do battle over a scheduled 10 rounds in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The odds are firmly against Ngannou and if Fury comes in on any sort of form, it will take something really special for the former UFC heavyweight champion to walk away with the win.

Along with a mountain of experience, Fury will have the size and speed advantage, and while Ngannou has shown he has big power in his MMA career, there is no evidence on how well this translates into boxing. So, most have Fury winning convincingly and would see Ngannou giving a somewhat of a spirited performance to be a win.

However, some feel that the highly unlikely will happen and feel Ngannou has the tools to pull it off – including Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson discusses Tyson Fury Vs. Francis Ngannou

Tyson has joined Ngannou’s team to help prepare him for the upcoming fight and was highly complimentary of the Cameroonian’s skill while talking to the Daily Mail.

“I am helping Ngannou. I am learning what he is able to do. He’s able to do so much more than I anticipated,” Tyson said. “He has what it takes to knock out anything or anybody standing in his way. “Once he lands a punch on Tyson Fury’s jaw he is going to knock him out too. Nobody can survive that.” (H/T Daily Mail)

Continuing, Tyson also spoke of Fury’s class and ability to put on exciting events.

“Fury’s not the all-time great but he’s one of the all-time greats. He’s really high up. He can do greatness right now. He’s always going to bring a good night of boxing, fight hard. You’ve got to try and hit him with a shot to knock him cold out because he always gets back up and fights hard,” Tyson said.

Slated to make his professional boxing debut later this month in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, former undisputed UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou has saw his skills and abilities compated to that of a “zero fight novice” ahead of his boxing match with WBC titleholder, Tyson Fury.

Ngannou, a former undisputed heavyweight champion under the banner of the UFC, will make his first venture into professional boxing later this month in the Middle East – taking on Morecambe native, Fury over the course of 10 rounds in a professional boxing.

Sidelined from active competition since January of last year, Cameroonian striker, Francis Ngannou most recently turned in a unanimous decision win over former interim heavyweight champion, Ciryl Gane in the main event of UFC 270 to successfully unify the championships.

Francis Ngannou likely has no chance according to Carl Froch

And whilst receiving backing from the likes of former two-time heavyweight champion and past-foe, Stipe Miocic to go out and shock the world with a win over Fury, Ngannou’s ability has been cast into severe doubt by another former world championship winner, Carl Froch.

“(Tyson) Fury’s not going to be worried about getting hit by that monstrous punch because I’ve seen (Francis) Ngannou on the pads and he looks terrible,” Carl Froch said during an interview with Best Gambling Sites. “He looks like what I’d expect a zero fight novice to look like. Slow, awkward, stiff. How is he going to get near Fury? He’s going to get his head absolutely peppered off.”

As for Fury, the undefeated WBC heavyweight champion has already put pen to paper on an official contract to make a return to the ring potentially just eight weeks after his fight with Ngannou, booking an undisputed heavyweight championship fight with fellow decorated gold holder, Oleksandr Usyk in the Middle East to boot.

Francis Ngannou vows to leave Tyson Fury medically unfit to fight Oleksandr Usyk

Set to make his professional boxing debut next month against incumbent WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, former undisputed UFC heavyweight titleholder, Francis Ngannou has claimed he will leave the Morecambe native medically unfit to clash with fellow world champion, Oleksandr Usyk, in a planned end-of-year title blockbuster.

Ngannou, a former undisputed UFC heavyweight champion, is slated to make his first venture into professional boxing next month, taking on WBC heavyweight champion, Fury over the course of 10 rounds in a professional boxing clash in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Sidelined himself since January of last year, Ngannou most recently turned in a unanimous decision win over then-interim UFC heavyweight champion, Ciryl Gane, successfully unfiying the divisional titles.

And just yesterday, multiple reports confirmed how the above-mentioned heavyweight duo of Fury and Usyk had put pen to paper on official contracts for an undisputed heavyweight championship fight – which is currently targeted to take place on December 23. in Saudi Arabia – if not in January.

Francis Ngannou warns Tyson Fury away from a quick turnaround

Reacting to news of Fury’s already planned return just 8 weeks after their scheduled pairing, Ngannou vowed that two months would not prove enough time for the former to recover from their clash to face Usyk.

“I don’t know what’s the minimum medical suspension in boxing but I really don’t understand how Tyson (Fury) can fight [with Oleksandr Usyk] in December after what’s going to happen on 10/28,” Francis Ngannou posted on his official X account.

Most recently successfully defending his WBC crown back in December of last year, Fury stopped three-time foe and championship challenger, Derek Chisora with a blistering tenth round standing TKO victory to retain his title.

That victory spelt Fury’s return to fighting following a prior April knockout win over Dillian Whyte in the pair’s WBC heavyweight championship rematch.
