It’s six consecutive victories for Georgian standout, Merab ‘The Machine’ Dvalishvili, who lodged a dominant unanimous decision win over Cody ‘The Spartan’ Stamann to open up the main card of UFC Vegas 25.

Securing an eye-catching five successful takedowns, Dvalishvili, a long time trainee of both Matt Serra and Ray Longo in Long Island, New York — notched a 30-27, and two 29-28 scorecards to likely enter the top ten come the release of the updated UFC rankings next week.

Displaying some impressive appearing hands and overal striking over the course of the three round affair, Dvaslishili may have dropped the last few wrestling srambles of the final frame, however, he lodged the hay in the barn in the earlier rounds on his way to a unanimous decision win over Stamann.

With the win, Dvalishvili’s streak now sits at six straight, adding to prior triumphs over Terrione Ware, Brad Katona, Casey Kenney, Gustavo Lopez, and two-time flyweight title challenger, John Dodson.

Below, check out the highlights from Dvalishvili’s unanimous judging success.

Luana Pinheiro has her first win under the UFC’s banner, in the form of an opening round disqualification ruling against division veteran, Randa Markos after she was struck with an illegal upkick.

In an exciting couple of exchanges in the opening round, the Brazilian landed an unintentional eye poke against Markos, which seemed to open a cut on her right eyelid. After consulting the Octagon-side physician, Markos was cleared to continue, however, she appeared to be quite cautious about returning to action as he began blinking and wiping the blood from her eye.

Scoring a judo throw on a now uber-aggressive Markos, Pinheiro landed the Iraqi born veteran on her head. Moving to her back near the centre of the Octagon, Markos threw an illegal upkick, catching Pinheiro in her face, knocking her back and eventually to the canvas.

With referee, Mark Smith calling a halt to the action, Pinheiro, who appeared to be effected significantly by the shot, asked if she had lost the fight as she lay on her back. Waving the fight off as a result, Octagon announcer, Joe Martinez confirmed the Brazilian had taken a disqualification victory.

Below, catch the highlights from Pinheiro’s disqualification victory.

Taking main events in a pivotal light heavyweight encounter, two-time title challenger, Dominick Reyes returns for the first time since September in an attempt to snap a two-fight skid, as he welcomes recent debutante, Czech Republic standout, Jiri Prochakza.

Dropping a close, highly-disputed unanimous decision loss to former two-time light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones at UFC 248 in March last year, Reyes then challenged for vacant spoils against Jan Blachowicz in the co main event of UFC 253 on ‘Fight Island’ — where he suffered a brutal second round knockout loss.

For former Rizin FF light heavyweight champion, Prochazka, the dangerous striker enters the headliner against Reyes off the back of an eye-catching one-punch knockout win over former title chaser, Volkan Oezdemir in his promotional bow at UFC 251 in July in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

In the night’s co-main event, surging Georgian kickboxer, Giga Chikadze returns as the #14 ranked featherweight contender, tackling veteran division mainstay, Cub Swanson.

Remaining undefeated in the UFC in his last outing, Chikadze took home a high-kick knockout win over Jamey Simmons in the opening round at UFC Vegas 13 in November.

For Swanson, the veteran striker is riding a two-fight winning run, which includes a unanimous decision success against Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu player, Kron Gracie, as well as a December UFC 256 knockout win over Daniel Pineda.

Initially scheduled to headline UFC 234 back in February of 2019, then-middleweight titleholder, Whittaker was forced to remove himself from proceedings on the day of the event, requiring emergency surgery after he suffered a hernia and a twisted and collapsed bowel.

Replacing most recent title challenger, Paulo Costa on a month’s notice, Gastelum enters the tie off the back of a unanimous decision success against Ian Heinisch at UFC 258 back in February — where he snapped his three-fight losing skid.

Suffering his second consecutive defeat last May at UFC 249 in Jacksonville, Florida, Stephens dropped a second-round knockout defeat to Calvin Kattar.
