Rafael dos Anjos faced “The Motown Phenom” Kevin Lee in the main event of UFC Rochester earlier tonight.

As always, LowkickMMA will have you covered with all the results from UFC on ESPN+ 10 as they happen.

After initially making noise in the welterweight division, dos Anjos (28-11) has dropped his last two fights. While his most recent defeats are at the hands of Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington, Lee marks a significant step down in perceived difficulty.

As for Lee (17-4). “The Motown Phenom” has been competing in the UFC since 2014 and he is still only 26 years old. Lee has decided to move up in weight after years of struggling to make 155 pounds. Let’s see how he fairs.

Round One

The fighters trade heavy leg kicks to start. Lee drops RDA with a right hand. He jumps on the back of dos Anjos but the Brazilian gets back to his feet with ease. The fighters trade leg kicks again. Lee shoots a double but dos Anjos defends against the cage with a kimura attempt. Lee eats a knee from RDA in the clinch but Lee still works for the takedown. The fight stalls a bit in the position. Less than 90 seconds left Lee backs up and lands a big kick and a knee to the body of RDA. Dos Anjos lands a glancing head kick on Lee. He takes Lee down and looks for a front choke. Lee defends and the round ends.

Round Two

Dos Anjos opens up with a right hand-leg kick combination. Lee immediately looks for a takedown. RDA lands a trip and reverses position. He gets back to the center of the Octagon. Dos Anjos lands another head kick that wobbles Lee a bit. Lee answers with a hard head kick, he backs up RDA with a flurry of punches and works for a takedown against the cage. The fight stalls as Lee works to get the fight to the canvas. Lee steps back and both fighters open up with punches. Lee gets rocked and dives for a leg. The round ends.

Round Three

Dos Anjos comes out with a flying knee. He follows up with a head kick. Lee throws a body kick. RDA looks very fresh, he shoots a takedown and scores it. He ends up in side control and works for a better position. Lee escapes and gets back to his feet but eats a knee. Lee quickly spins and takes RDA’s back. He looks for a rear naked choke but the Brazilian defends and lands a couple of right hands. Lee tries to pop back to his feet but RDA is doing a good job at controlling Lee and dealing damage. Dos Anjos gets revered by Lee. Lee takes RDA down and lands a few elbows. Dos Anjos spins out. The round ends.

Round Four

Dos Anjos doubles up his jab to start round four. Lee throws one of his own. Both fighters throw a leg kick but RDA gets caught in the groin. RDA comes out with a one-two. He lands a hard head kick. Lee answers with one of his own. The American looks to take RDA to the ground but dos Anjos defends again. Lee goes to the body with a hard kick. He follows up with a takedown pressure against the cage. RDA defends and circles back to the center of the Octagon. He lands a hard leg kick, Lee shoots, RDA defends. Lee is exhausted. Dos Anjos closes in and looks for the arm triangle choke. That’s a wrap.

A pivotal middleweight match up served as the co-main event for UFC Rochester as Antônio Carlos Júnior met Ian Heinisch.

Carlos Junior (10-2) has looked increasingly promising during his five-fight winning streak. He defeated Tim Boetsch last April and has been looking for a suitable opponent ever since. He will get that in Heinisch tonight.

As for Heinisch (12-1). At 30 years old “The Hurricane” has lived an eventful life to say the least. He has won four straight heading into his first UFC co-main event. Heinisch is one heck of a fun fighter to watch.

Round One

Heinisch and Carlos Junior touch gloves. Heinisch throws a leg kick, then goes high. Carlos Junior chases Heinisch and gets a hold of the American. He trips him and ends up in side control. He softens up Heinisch with some punches and works to advance his position. He thought about a leg lock but lands a few elbows instead. Heinisch uses the cage to get back to his feet. Heinisch front rolls in an attempt to get free of Carlos Junoir. Again, with a summersault but Carlos Junoir has a tight grip on Heinisch’s waist. Eventually the Brazilian gets him down but Heinisch gets back up. Carlos Junoir takes him straight back down and takes his back. He locks in a choke but Heinisch spins out. The round ends.

Round Two

Heinisch walks forward and wings a right hand. He lands a leg kick too. Carlos Junior returns a hard kick of his own. Heinisch goes high with a kick but misses. Carlos Junior lands a right hand, Heinisch returns a kick. Carlos Junior gets deep on a takedown and quickly takes the back. He looks for a shoulder lock, again Heinisch gets up to his feet. He presses Carlos Junoir off him using the cage. Heinisch falls on Carlos Junior and lands a couple of left hands. Carlos Junior is trying to tie Heinisch up from the bottom. Heinisch is really peppering him with his left hand. He postures up and blasts some hard ground and pound. Carlos Junior spins to his back, Heinisch launches a flying punch as the round ends.

Round Three

Heinisch opens up with a winging right hand. Carlos Junior lands a leg kick, Heinisch answers with a leg kick. Carlos Junior lands a hard knee to the groin of Heinisch. The fight resumes with Heinisch landing a huge right hand, Carlos Junior drops as Heinisch follows. Carlos Junior dives for a leg, Heinisch sprawls. He ends up on top in Carlos Junior’s half guard. He lands a couple of punches and defends against the sweep. Carlos Junior hits the switch and flips Heinisch. The American gets back to his feet and slips out of the grasp of Carlos Junior. Heinisch in top control with 30 seconds left in the fight. He lands a couple of hard elbows and fists. The fight is over.

A women’s featherweight bout between Megan Anderson and Felicia Spencer was on tap next at UFC on ESPN+ 10 in Rochester, New York.

Anderson (8-3) has had a rough go in the UFC thus far. She lost her debut to Holly Holm at UFC 225 in Chicago last year and then came the eye injury in the Cat Zingano fight. The Aussie needs a big win this weekend.

As for Spencer (6-0). The “Feenom” will make her long-awaited UFC debut after picking up all six of her victories under the Invicta banner. Four of Spencer’s wins have come via some form of finish.

Round One

Anderson walks forward and lands a right cross. She lands a straight right to follow. Spencer clinches and presses Anderson up against the cage. She works to take the larger Anderson down. Spencer blasts a few knees into the thighs of the Aussie, Anderson scrambles but Spencer takes her back. Anderson defends the choke but Spencer has her hooks in and she is working. She blasts several hard right hands into Anderson’s face. Spencer is all over her with punches to the head. She works for the choke and gets the tap just like that. Wow.

A lightweight contest between Austin “Thud” Hubbard and Davi “The Tasmanian Devil” Ramos kicked off the main card at UFC Rochester.

Hubbard (10-2) joins the UFC ranks after paying his dues on the regional scene and most recently in LFA. He is an exciting fighter who has won three straight and six of his last seven.

As for Ramos (9-2). The 32-year-old Brazilian submission specialist has rolled off three straight victories in the UFC after dropping his promotional debut. Ramos has finished his last three opponents via rear naked choke.

Round One

Ramos takes the center of the Octagon and eats a leg kick. Hubbard pumping his jab from outside Ramos’ distance. Ramos walks forward and lands a leg kick of his own. Both fighters throw leg kicks and connect in each other’s groin. The fight resumes and Hubbard faints and throws a front kick. Ramos throws a wild right hook that nearly lands. Hubbard lands a nice counter right. Ramos lands a hard leg kick, Hubbard lands one of his own. The Brazilian lands a right hand, then a left. Hubbard has a chin on him. Ramos scoops Hubbard up and easily takes the American down. He takes his back and looks for the choke. The horn sounds and most likely saves Hubbard.

Round Two

The fighters touch gloves to start round two. Ramos lands a hard leg kick, Hubbard returns one of his own. Ramos goes body, head, body and stuns Hubbard. The American clips Ramos with a right but Ramos gets his hands around the waist Hubbard. He drags the American down but in a very unusual position. Hubbard manages to break free and get back to his feet. He pressures Ramos with a body shot and then goes back to leg kicks. Ramos cracks Hubbard with a hard left hook, somehow, Hubbard eats it. Ramos gets a hold of a leg and works to drag Hubbard down. He does so easily and looks to advance his position. He blasts a few elbows but the round ends.

Round Three

Hubbard throws a hard leg kick to start the final round. He pressures Ramos and misses a big uppercut, but comes back with another leg kick. Ramos thuds his own leg kick and then wings an overhand left. Ramos blasts a left hand that rocks Hubbard. The American is in trouble. Ramos lands another right and takes Hubbard down. He goes to the body with a couple of strikes then methodically moves into position. Ramos lands a right hand and works to get out of half guard. The referee steps in and stands them up? Less than 90 seconds remaining. Hubbard still moving forward with strikes but Ramos answers. Ramos goes for a spinning kick and loses his balance. The horn sounds.
