Next up on the UFC Vegas 6 main card is a women’s bantamweight bout between Yana Kunitskaya and Julija Stoliarenko.

Round 1: Stoliarenko slips and looks to land. They clinch up. Kunitskaya has Stoliarenko up against the fence but is reversed soon after. Kunitskaya reverses soon after and lands some knees. She starts to mix it up with some elbows too. Stoliarenko is attempting to pull guard but to no effect so far as her nose is bloodied up. Stoliarenko eventually falls down but manages to control Kunitskaya after a failed takedown attempt. Kunitskaya reverses again and has her clinched up once again. She continues to land knees as she did earlier in the round. They end the round swinging.

Round 2: Stoliarenko slowly attempts a spinning heel kick but it’s caught by Kunitskaya who drops her and lands a kick to the belly. They clinch up soon after and it’s a repeat of the first round with Kunitskaya landing knees again. She starts to land some lefts as well as Stoliarenko struggles to get out of the position. Stoliarenko gets to the ground but she is clinched up yet again after she stands up. Stoliarenko receives some big knees as she seems to be in great discomfort. The fight goes to the ground and it looks like Stoliarenko is attempting an armbar with just 30 seconds remaining in the round. However, she loses it as the round ends.

Round 3: The third round begins the same with Kunitskaya clinching Stoliarenko up. The fight goes to the ground with Kunitskaya in Stoliarenko’s guard. Not a lot of action takes place as the referee stands them up. Kunitskaya straight away goes for the clinch. The fight goes to the gorund momentarily but it again returns to the feet in the clinch position. They separate with over 30 seconds remaining. Stoliarenko looks for a hail mary shot but finds herself clinched up. She lands a body kick as the fight ends.

Aspen Ladd returned to the win column in emphatic fashion.

Coming off her first professional loss to Germaine de Randamie earlier in the year, Ladd took on Yana Kunitskaya in main card action at UFC DC on Saturday night.

After a back-and-forth first two rounds, Ladd came out with a bang to start the third round as she dropped Kunitskaya with a left hook. She then landed a ton of ground and pound until the referee saw enough and called an end to the fight.

Round 1: Kunitskaya clinches Ladd up against the fence. However, they are separated by the referee after she grabs the fence for a second time. They clinch up against the fence and reverse each other. Kunitskaya seems to be the stronger fighter here. She lands a number of knees. Ladd lands a takedown and is on top. Ladd lands some big ground and pound before taking her back and landing more strikes. Kunitskaya reverses to end the round.

Round 2: Ladd starts aggressive with her striking. Both fighters continue to strike before Ladd applies a body lock on Kunitskaya. The Russian is able to avoid the takedown and has Ladd clinched up against the fence. Kunitskaya lands knees. Ladd eventually gets out and they strike again. Ladd takes Kunitskaya down again with an inside trip. Ladd lands a couple of ground and pound strikes but nothing that hurts Kunitskaya so far. The round ends with Ladd dominating the last minute and a half.

Round 3: Ladd starts the round by dropping Kunitskaya with a big left hook. She unloads with some ground and pound to get the victory.

Official result: Aspen Ladd defeats Yana Kunitskaya via R3 TKO (0:33).

The UFC is heading back to Washington D.C. on Dec. 7 at the Capital One Arena.

Now, two high-profile women’s fight has been added to the card according to ESPN. while Claudia Gadelha will fight Cynthia Calvillo in a strawweight bout. Meanwhile, Aspen Ladd will return after being knocked out to Germaine de Randamie to take on Yana Kunitskaya.

Gadelha, got back into the win column last time out as she beat Randa Markos by decision at UFC 239. Before that, she dropped a decision to Nina Ansraroff. She is currently ranked fifth in the division. Calvillo, meanwhile, is ranked 11th and on a two-fight winning streak after beating Poliana Botelho and Cortney Casey.

Ladd, as mentioned, is coming off of her first professional loss when she lost to de Randamie in the main event of UFC Sacramento. She was knocked out in 16 seconds, in what many thought it was an early stoppage. Before that, she beat Sijara Eubanks, Tonya Evinger and Lina Lansberg in her UFC bouts.

Kunitskaya, meanwhile, is on a two-fight winning streak after beating Lina Lansberg, and Marion Reneau. She has also fought for the featherweight title before where she was knocked out by Cris Cyborg.
