Ronda Rousey is the most dangerous women’s MMA fighter on the planet. It took her a combined two minutes and 34 seconds to finish her last four opponents. The most recent two finishes came in 16 seconds or fewer each.

She’s an animal, and everyone knows it. The undefeated (11-0) bantamweight faces an undefeated opponent on Saturday in Brazilian “Pitbull” Bethe Correia (9-0).

Correia knows how heavily Rousey is favored. Her pulling off the upset might even be the biggest upset in UFC history.

After both fighters made weight, Correia decided to test an area of Rousey that could be weakened—her psyche. She screamed and barked directly in Rousey’s face.

Rousey didn’t blink.

You have to give the kid credit; he said it to CM Punk’s face.

As Phil Brooks, formerly known as CM Punk, took questions from fans during a Q&A session in Chicago on Friday, one man wanted to know why he himself couldn’t fight Brooks. Implied in the question was the notion that Brooks, formerly of WWE, is not a true MMA fighter, so any Joe Schmo is worthy of the same opportunity.

Brooks was not about to back down from this one. The UFC fighter (his first UFC fight is expected to come in late 2015) pointed out that he is on the stage, which is more than the fan could say.

He then kindly told the man to “get the f–k out.”

Let this be a lessen in technique, kids.

“Gina” and “Paul” appeared to have gotten into a good-natured grappling match, but then things got intense fast.

Gina pulled guard quickly for a takedown, letting her opponent gain the top position, but giving herself a powerful jiu-jitsu hold. It also helped neutralize the height difference between the two.

Then things got dirty. Gina took a few blows and even said, “We’re slamming now?” when her opponent did just that.

Eventually, Gina had enough and channeled her inner Ronda Rousey, finishing with an armbar and forcing a tapout.

Say what you want about former American League MVP and six-time MLB All-Star Jose Canseco, but the man believes in himself.

With news that former WWE megastar CM Punk is joining the UFC to kick off his mixed martial arts career, Canseco took to Twitter to offer a challenge:

It should be noted that CM Punk walks around at 215 pounds. Even though he’s looking to fight at around 185 pounds, Punk is no small man. He’s also made millions of dollars by taking pain in the pro wrestling ring, and he is trained in kempo and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

We’ve also seen Canseco in the ring. In 2009, he got destroyed by 7’2″ kickboxer Choi Hong-man.

Here’s video, in case you were curious:

So, yeah, good luck beating “the crap out of” CM Punk, Jose. We’d all like to see it.

Anderson “Spider” Silva is arguably the greatest MMA fighter of all time, and the final chapter of his in-ring career will soon begin.

After suffering a horrendous leg injury during a title fight rematch vs. current UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman on December 28, 2013, Silva’s career was in doubt. He has relentlessly rehabbed since then, however, and will face Nick Diaz on January 31, 2015, in his first fight back.

In this epic commercial, we see Silva beaten down and lying in the bottom of a seemingly inescapable pit.

Then the Spider crawls out.

With a devastating spinning backfist, amateur bantamweight prospect Jessica Middleton earned herself a place in the nightmares of fighters everywhere.

At BlackOut Fighting Championship 26 on November 8 in Kansas City, Missouri, Middleton dropped opponent Holly Torrez to the mat in a cold, unconscious heap.

Torrez fully paid the price when she bit on a one-two-punch decoy that Middleton sold beautifully.
