Former Bellator welterweight Dillon Danis is set to make his grappling competitive, ending a four year absence.

Since Danis joined the training camp of Conor McGregor, ultimately becoming involved in the infamous post-fight brawl between McGregor and Nurmagomedov, the American has held an odd place in the combat sports space.

Danis’ unrelenting social media campaign has kept his name in the headlines, and even contributed to him signing a bout to fight YouTuber turned ‘boxer’ KSI. However, even after throwing coffee in the social media stars face and taunting him, Danis would pull out of the fight with KSI.

Inactive MMA athlete Dillon Danis is attempting to get a rise out of former top-ranked UFC fighter Darren Till.

Danis was a notable grappler who helped Conor McGregor prepare for his 2018 bout against Khabib Nurmagomedov. Danis went 2-0 in Bellator against unranked competition and has not fought since 2019. Although in that time he has remained active on Twitter calling out various athletes. He once had a scheduled boxing match against KSI in which Danis dropped out because he was struggling to make weight.

Recently, online, Danis claims that Logan Paul dropped out of a boxing match against him to target now-ex-UFC fighter Darren Till. Danis said:

“He ran from me to go fight a 1-5 Darren Till”.

Darren Till responds to Dillon Danis

In an interview with The Mac Life, ‘The GorillaTill responded to Danis. He said:

“What’s he on about, Dillon? I’ve never said one thing about him. His little gang, his little mates from like Conor, I know all his mates from Ireland. I know them all, I get on really well with them all. So what’s he talking s*** for like? I can’t physically or mentally respond to the guy because he argues and trolls everyone. For me, why would I even get worked up about a guy like that, who pulled out of a fight with KSI like? What am I gonna gain from responding to Dillon Danis? Like, what mate? What?”

The English-born athlete continued:

“Even with me last few losses, I consider myself a very good fighter. I wouldn’t waste me time with a guy like that. What is that guy even about? I don’t get it.”

Dillon Danis Jake Paul Tommy Fury

After a competitive bout between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury, Dillon Danis has spoken out about his reaction to the fight and who he’d like to fight next out of the two.

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury finally threw down after several cancellations to the fight, and it turned out to be a pretty even matchup. While Tommy Fury looked better throughout the majority of the fight, he did not dominate the Youtubing boxing sensation as some believed would happen.

In fact, both fighters had shining moments during the fight. The decision itself was split, with Tommy Fury garnering the win with scores of 74-75, 76-73, and 76-73 on the judges’ cards. Fury would hand Jake Paul the first loss of his professional boxing career, and while things are leaning towards a rematch between the two: Dillon Danis would like to enter the mix.

Dillon Danis reacts to Tommy Fury vs. Jake Paul fight, calls out Fury for his next fight

While just 2-0 in his professional MMA career, Dillon Danis has garnered a gigantic reputation. While there’s no real reason he’s done so, if anything, it’s been a result of his smack talk and chiming in at opportune moments.

The latest in this series of callouts and insults has now led to his latest of Jake Paul and Tommy Fury. He’s had much history with Jake Paul, and the two men have been trading barbs for years now. However, Dillon Danis now says he’d like Paul to “keep his name out his mouth,” as Paul’s latest performance has been an embarrassment, according to Danis.

In fact, it now seems that Dillon Danis is targeting Tommy Fury for his next fight. Whether that happens or not is highly unlikely, but a man can dream. Calling out Tommy Fury on Instagram, Danis has made his wishes clear, though.

Controversial Bellator fighter Dillon Danis was busted for promoting a fake NFT on social media.

Dillon Danis has been the topic of many conversations in recent months, and not typically for a favorable reason. The jiu-jitsu practitioner once again found himself in a bit of trouble after he was busted promoting a fake NFT by self-proclaimed “internet detective” Coffeezilla on Twitter.

An NFT, or Non-fungible token, is a unique digital identifier that cannot be copied, substituted, or subdivided, that is recorded in a blockchain, and that is used to certify authenticity and ownership. The ownership of an NFT is recorded in the blockchain and can be transferred by the owner, allowing NFTs to be sold and traded.

Coffeezilla paid Danis $1,000 in order to promote an NFT to test whether or not the Bellator fighter would check the authenticity of it first. As you probably guessed, Danis did not and proceeded to promote the scam to his 342,000 followers. A video on YouTube detailed Danis’ actions and provided a screenshot where he promoted the inauthentic NFT on social media.

“We just tricked Dillon Danis into promoting a fake NFT project,” Coffeezilla wrote on Twitter. “We paid him $1,000 to post, he didn’t disclose it was an #AD, and posted copy that literally spells out S.C.A.M.”

“The entire project is fake, and if you ‘Mint It,’ it takes you to (a) website devoted to all the scams he’s done in the past.”

Dillon Danis Previously Accused Logan Paul of a Cryptocurrency Scam

Oddly enough, the revelation regarding Dillon Danis’ own internet scams comes not long after he called out YouTuber-turned-pro-boxer and WWE Superstar Logan Paul for scamming people through a cryptocurrency game called CryptoZoo. Paul encouraged people to buy cryptocurrency collectibles, but a year later, Paul left the project after the game failed to materialize. Many people, including Danis, accused Paul of running a scam.

“damn logan paul is a scumbag feel bad for everyone he scammed,” Danis tweeted.
