Conor McGregor was having the time of his life while attending Saturday’s high-profile boxing match between Anthony Joshua and Robert Helenius.

Returning to the legendary O2 Arena in London, Joshua earned his 26th career win with a vicious seventh-round knockout against short-notice replacement Robert Helenius. Following the bout, Joshua was spotted taking in a celebratory pint or two alongside Irish megastar Conor McGregor.

McGregor was seen throughout the evening cozying up to IBF bantamweight women’s champion Ebanie ‘Blonde Bomber’ Bridges and pouring a pint of his Forged Irish Stout down any throat he could find.

Perhaps the biggest news of the night from McGregor came when he shared a word with Gareth A. Davies before the main event festivities began. McGregor addressed his long-rumored return to the Octagon, revealing that he will be back this December for a scrap against his opposing TUF coach, ‘Iron’ Michael Chandler. Of course, with the Irishman still not re-enrolled in the USADA testing pool, it remains to be seen how the former two-division titleholder plans to pull that off.

Conor McGregor Calls Out KSI, Discusses Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis

Of course, Conor McGregor was far from done, jumping into the ring and taking a shot at another combat sports star in attendance, KSI.

KSI is currently gearing up for a return to the ring in October where he will headline a Misfits boxing event alongside undefeated British standout Tommy Fury. The event will be co-headlined by a grudge match between social media star and PRIME Energy Drink hawker Logan Paul who will meet Conor McGregor’s long-time BJJ coach, Dillon Danis, in a boxing bout.

Speaking backstage at Joshua vs. Helenius, McGregor revealed that he will help train Danis for the fight. Considering his record on the latest season of The Ultimate Fighter, we’re not sure if that’s something to brag about.

Dillon Danis forced to pay $100,000 ‘pull-out clause’ if he withdraws from Logan Paul fight

It will cost embattled BJJ standout Dillon Danis a pretty penny if he decides to back out of his October boxing match with social media star Logan Paul.

On Tuesday, the elder Paul brother revealed that he would be featured in the co-main event of an upcoming Misfits boxing card at the AO Arena in Manchester, England. The WWE Superstar is scheduled to take on perhaps the most disliked man in mixed martial arts, Dillon Danis, as part of ‘The PRIME Card’ which will be headlined by a fight between KSI and Tommy Fury.

From the very second that the bout was announced, fans were immediately skeptical as to whether or not the fight would even come to fruition. Dillon Danis has regularly teased fights and called out fighters on social media, but has declined to actually step inside the ring or a cage to back up his words. Earlier this year, Danis was scheduled to scrap with KSI, but he pulled out one week before fight night.

Revealing details about the fight on the IMPAULSIVE podcast, Logan Paul confirmed that there is a “pull-out clause” in the contract forcing Danis to pony up $100,000 should be back out of the bout without a legitimate reason.

“I’m convinced he’s not going to show up,” Paul said. “The clause is this: If he pulls out because of some sort of injury that he fakes, a doctor of our choosing has to verify the injury. And then if he is indeed faking it, he has to pay $100,000. There is a pull-out clause.”

Dillon Danis has not competed since 2019 when he scored his second-straight first-round submission victory under the Bellator MMA banner. Despite the lack of action, Danis has still managed to establish himself as one of the most obnoxious personalities in combat sports thanks to his often ridiculous call-outs online. Unfortunately, being a keyboard warrior doesn’t pay the bills for most people.

“He’s broke,” Paul said. “This guy sucks. He’s a parasite of the MMA and combat world. That’s why I took the fight initially. If he does show up, I get to be the one. I get to be the one to take an eraser and remove him from existence. His name will never be uttered again. He’ll die that night, twice.”

Chances are, Dillon Danis doesn’t have the kind of coin he would need to comfortably back out of the bout, but fans, and even Logan Paul, will likely remain skeptical until he is actually standing inside the ring with a pair of eight-ounce gloves on.

As per a press release, a boxing match between YouTuber and podcast host, Logan Paul, and Bellator MMA welterweight grappler, Dillon Danis, is set to take co-main event honors on a DAZN pay-per-view event on October 14. from Manchester, England – as part of a MisFits x DAZN X Series card.

Paul, the elder brother of now 7-1 professional boxer, Jake Paul, will make his return to the squared circle for the first time since he battled former undisputed world champion, Floyd Mayweather back in June 2021 in Florida.

As for Danis, the outspoken grappling talent has yet to compete in combat sports since June 2019 under the Bellator MMA banner, where he moved to 2-0 in professional mixed martial arts courtesy of a first round armbar submission win over Max Humphey.

Logan Paul is set for a return to boxing against debutante, Dillon Danis

In the time since, the decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ace has been sidelined through a slew of debilitating knee injuries, and is best-known for his role in multiple camps alongside former undisputed UFC featherweight and lightweight champion, Conor McGregor.

Atop the October card in England, the aforenoted Paul’s business partner, fellow YouTuber and rapper, K.S.I. (real name Olajide Olatunji) will take headlining honors in a clash against professional boxer, Tommy Fury – the half-brother of current WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, who is fresh from a February main event win over the aforenoted Jake Paul in Saudi Arabia.

0-1 as a professional, Logan Paul featured in just one professional match prior to his exhibition showing with Mayweather, dropping a split decision loss to the previously mentioned, K.S.I. in November 2019, in a rematch of a prior amateur fight.

Yet to make the walk in professional boxing, the aforenoted, Danis was scheduled to feature in an exhibition bout against K.S.I. in January of this year at Wembley Stadium in England, however, according to a MisFits promoter, the New Jersey grappler was forced to withdraw from the matchup due to a lack of preparation.

Can Logan Paul land a victory over Dillon Danis his in return to boxing?

Conor McGregor spars with Dillon Danis during visit to New York City UFC

Amid rumors of a rather frayed relationship in recent years, former two-weight UFC champion, Conor McGregor has shared footage of himself training alongside former Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training partner and Bellator MMA fighter, Dillon Danis during his time in New York City.

McGregor, a former undisputed lightweight and featherweight champion under the banner of the UFC, has been sidelined since he headlined UFC 264 back in July 2021, suffering a fractured left tibia and fibula en route to a first round doctor’s stoppage TKO defeat.

With the Dubliner’s future in the sport firmly in doubt amid his current unknown status with USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) – in regards to his return to the agency’s testing pool, McGregor has so far served as an opposing coach on The Ultimate Fighter 31 earlier this year, opposite his counterpart, Michael Chandler.

Expected to fight the Missouri veteran at the welterweight limit in his Octagon return, McGregor, who turns 35 later this month, was also accused of sexual assault during game 4 at the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat, and the Denver Nuggets in Miami, Florida earlier this month. McGregor has steadfastly denied allegations of any wrongdoing levelled against him.

Recently taking in a trip to New York City where he was spotted taking photos with fans and signing autographs outside his hotel, Conor McGregor was joined by his fiancée, Dee Devlin, as well as their three children for Father’s Day over the course of the weekend.

And while taking in time in ‘The Big Apple’, McGregor linked up with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, Danis, with the two training together for the first time in a long time by all accounts.

“Good sparring today at Church Strett with @dillondanis,” Conor McGregor tweeted. “NYC Underground Kings, word to Eddie. You think you know. You have no idea. Onwards we go! #smile #check #soon (praying hands emoji).”

Dillon Danis and Ali Abdelaziz get personal in heated Twitter exchange: ‘You are an embarrassment’

Ali AbdelazizDominance MMA founder Ali Abdelaziz engaged in a heated back-and-forth war of words with Dillon Danis on social media. Dominance MMA founder Ali Abdelaziz engaged in a heated back-and-forth war of words with Dillon Danis on social media.

Abdelaziz and Danis have never been friendly with one another, much of that stemming from their rivalry-by association as Danis was Conor McGregor’s jiu-jitsu coach while Abdelaziz managed the Irishman’s greatest rival, Khabib Nurmagomedov. Recently, Danis took a shot at another of Abdelaziz’s clients, Islam Makhachev which sparked a fiery exchange between the two on Twitter.

It all started when Makhachev innocently asked why he was missing his blue checkmark, a symbol long associated with verified accounts on the social media platform. Seeing an opportunity to strike, Danis delivered a snarky response to the reigning UFC lightweight world champion. “You need to get your blue belt before you get the blue tick you bum,” Danis quipped.

Hours later, Ali Abdelaziz snapped back. “Stop talking trash to the champion your bum,” he responded.

Dillon Danis Makes Things Personal With Ali Abdelaziz

Things escalated from there as Danis returned fire asking Ali Abdelaziz, “How’s Noah?” For those that do not know, Noah is the son of Ali Abdelaziz. Many fight fans were unaware that Abdelaziz had a kid until Conor McGregor mentioned him during a UFC 229 pre-fight press event.

Noah is actually a big guy now he can slap you too, you are an embarrassment,” Abdelaziz tweeted in response.

It was then that Danis took things a step further, alleging that Abdelaziz had abandoned his son at a young age after becoming an informant. “How would you know? You abandoned him when you became an informant for being a terrorist,” Danis replied.

Dillon Danis has made a career out of running his mouth on social media in recent years. The 2-0 fighter showed a lot of promise in his first two appearances with Bellator MMA, but it has been four years since he last competed. During that time, Danis has attempted to stay relevant in the world of combat sports by calling out practically every fighter under the sun and issuing outlandish challenges that he knows will never come to fruition.

Dillon Danis claims Bellator CEO Scott Coker is keeping him on the shelf: ‘I’ve offered to fight on every card’

Dillon DanisDillon Danis called out Scott Coker on social media, suggesting the Bellator CEO is the reason why he has been sitting on the sidelines for nearly four years. Dillon Danis called out Scott Coker on social media, suggesting the Bellator CEO is the reason why he has been sitting on the sidelines for nearly four years.

Danis’ run under the Bellator banner started off promising with the BJJ specialist securing back-to-back wins against Kyle Walker and Max Humphry. After two-straight first-round submissions, MMA fans were curious to see just how far Dannis could go. Four years later, some fans are still waiting while others have moved on.

Dillon Danis’ last appearance in the cage came at Bellator 222 back in June 2019, but according to the New Jersey native, his lack of competition is the fault of Scott Coker. At least, that’s what Danis is claiming in his latest Twitter post.

“this shit is wack @ScottCoker i’ve offered to fight every card since 2 years ago got texts to back it up,” Danis tweeted.

Since his last walk to the Bellator cage, Dillon Danis has only been booked for two fights. The first was expected to be his third appearance for the promotion at Bellator 238: Budd vs. Cyborg. Danis withdrew from the contest due to an injury. Fast forward to 2023, he was scheduled for a boxing match against social media star KSI at Misfits & DAZN: X Series 004 in January. Danis again pulled out of the bout just weeks prior.

Scott Coker is yet to comment on Danis’ accusation, but the Bellator CEO issued somewhat of an ultimatum to the part-time fighter full-time trash-talker during a Bellator 290 media event in February.

“I talked to his management the other day and I keep asking, ‘What do you guys really want to do?’” Coker said of Danis. “I mean, really, it’s up to you guys. We can’t make you come fight, but we also have to have realistic expectations…

“Look, we are a fight company. You wanna fight, come fight. It’s that simple to me. You already have a contract in place, let’s pick a date, pick an opponent and let’s go. Or let’s move on.”

Twitter Users Aren’t Buying Dillon Danis’ Latest Claim

MMA Twitter was quick to call bullsh*t on Dillon Danis’ claim, some even coming from former fans that grew tired of Danis’ incessant trolling on social media, throwing out unrealistic challenges to fighters that would never give him the time of day for money he doesn’t have.
