Former world champion boxer, Floyd Mayweather has offered fans of his the opportunity to land a one-on-one chat for a rather lofty fee of $1,4000 – amid recent questions regarding the Grand Rapids native’s financial stability.

Mayweather, a former professional boxer, returned from the sport following his August 2017 professional boxing match against former two-weight UFC champion, Conor McGregor, where he improved his undefeated record to 50-0 courtesy of a tenth round knockout win.

In the time since, Mayweather returned to the squared circle in June of last year in an exhibition outing against YouTuber and podcast host, Logan Paul – in a matchup where the official result was not disclosed. Mayweather had previously defeated kickboxing star, Tenshin Nasukawa with a first round knockout at a New Years Eve event in 2018.

Floyd Mayweather returns to the squared circle later this month

Expected to feature in another exhibition boxing match later this month in Abu Dhabi, UAE – Mayweather is booked to stand opposite Don Moore over the course of eight rounds

With questions of Mayweather’s financial stability rife ahead of another reportedly lucrative exhibition outing, the Michigan veteran recent released a promotional video for the website, Fanmio, where fans of his can pay a fee in the region of $1,400 for a one-on-one conversation with the former world champion.

“I would love to invite you to Fanmio, where you can personally meet me, in a one-on-one video meet and greet,” Floyd Mayweather said. “Now here’s your chance, to meet me, no matter where you are around the world.”

“You can ask me anything, ask me about all 50 fights, ask me what’s my eating regiment, ask me what’s my best fight, ask me what’s my best knockout, ask me what I do everyday, in retirement,” Floyd Mayweather explained. “To be the best, you must always work overtime. This event is unbelievable, you guys don’t want to miss out, I’ve got some exclusive pieces I will be signing just for this event. I can’t wait to meet you all, I want to meet your family, your friends.”

Five-time world champion Floyd Mayweather will be taking to the ring in Abu Dhabi this weekend in an exhibition match.

While the event was originally scheduled for a week prior, the four-bout card has now been moved to this weekend. It also features one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time, Anderson Silva competing under the Global Titans banner.

Taking on his former sparring partner Don Moore in the contest, ‘Money’ will mark his third return back to action since beating the Irish superstar Conor McGregor in 2017.

In what will be the first of six events, Mayweather’s debut show in the promotion has also been moved to the Etihad Arena for Saturday night. The event was supposed to take place at the Burj Al Arab hotel helipad earlier. ‘The Spider‘ will square off against Bruno Machado in the co-main event of the night.

Floyd Mayweather will fight this weekend

Last week, the Arabian Peninsula was shocked by the passing of United Arab Emirates president Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Many famous athletes took to social media to send their condolences including Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather.

Following the death of the president of the UAE, WAM, the official UAE news agency, announced that government officials have suspended “work in ministries, departments, federal and local institutions, and the private sector” for the next three days.

Shortly after WAM came out with the announcement, Global Titans issued a statement declaring the event canceled with hopes to put it together in the near future. There were rumors of the matches being pushed back a week and it seems like that’s what the organizers thought best.

The bill will also feature a bout between former two-time world champion boxer Badou Jack and Egypt’s Hany Atiyo. Former WBC female lightweight champion Delfine Persoon will face Frenchwoman Elhem Mekhaled for the vacant WBC silver belt.

Boxing Hall of Famer Floyd Mayweather’s return to the boxing ring in a Dubai exhibition against Don Moore is still in limbo.

Mayweather and Moore were supposed to compete at the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah hotel on Saturday. Last week’s cancelation was due to the death of United Arab Emirates president, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the nation will observe an official mourning period of 40 days.

Tuesday, Mayweather provided what appeared to be a clear-cut update on when the event will now take place.

“Dubai- May 21st” the post simply announced.

However, on Wednesday, boxing reporter Michael Benson revealed that the broadcasters of the event released a statement announcing that the event has not been moved to May 21 after all.

Mayweather and Moore are former sparring partners and are both undefeated in their professional boxing careers. However, Mayweather is arguably the greatest boxer to ever do it with a 50-0 record.

Mayweather fought against YouTuber turned boxer Logan Paul in a non-scored exhibition last summer, with many believing he earned the win if scorecards were given. The fight wasn’t sanctioned in Florida due to the physical discrepancy between Paul and Mayweather.

Mayweather was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame last year along with former champions such as Andre Ward and Ann Wolfe.

UFC legend Anderson Silva will also be making his boxing return against Brazilian Bruno Machado on the card.

Stay tuned, as MMA News will keep you updated on the status of this event.

Conor McGregor ‘Cheating’ vs Khabib, Mayweather & Poirier Analysed In Damning New Video

Conor McGregor has been alleged to have cheated in the biggest fights of his career.

About four years ago, Conor McGregor took on Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 in what was billed as ‘the biggest fight in the history of mixed martial arts’. While the bout was a lopsided contest for Nurmagomedov who dominated ‘The Notorious One’ before getting a submission win in the fourth round.

In a new video analysis of the contest, McGregor was alleged to have gone against the rules in multiple ways. Being on the ground for the majority of the bout, the Irish superstar was accused of cheating by holding the Russian’s shorts and putting his toes on the fence in an attempt to stop the Dagestani from applying more pressure on the top.

He also landed a strike on the back of Nurmagomedov’s head and grabbed his glove as well.

A year before that fight, McGregor competed against the undefeated Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match. Both parties were happy with the truckload of cash they made from the event but Mayweather had also accused McGregor of throwing rabbit punches.

Dustin Poirier also complained about Conor holding his gloves throughout their fight.

Chael Sonnen weighs in on Conor McGregor cheating

In a recent episode uploaded to his official YouTube channel, Chael Sonnen was asked by a fan about McGregor’s cheating. As an experienced veteran of the game, ‘The Bad Guy’ shared his thoughts on the video.

“You can break a rule without cheating, for sure,” Sonnen said.

“Think of basketball, something less important than combat sports in terms of damage, but think about travelling. Travelling is against the rules. You break the rule, you’ll even be punished for it. There will be a foul, it will be recognised. Are you a cheater?”

According to Sonnen, it all comes down to the intent of the action as it could’ve been a genuine mistake.

“It’s one of those hard things. You can make a mistake, you can do an accident. I only share that with you, I don’t know what’s in Conor’s mind. In all fairness, when you’re talking about all those clips, I’ve seen those clips, I’ve seen him hold the glove, I’ve seen the toes in the cage. It comes down to intent.”

Fair take from Sonnen who has been in similar situations himself and shines some light on the three golden rules of fighting.

“Breaking the rule and intending to break the rule ahead of time and get away with it is largely what we all as people associate with cheating, as opposed to a foul. What’s in Conor’s mind? Look, there’s a lot of rules out there but there are only three big ones.

“You don’t hit ’em low, you don’t bite ’em, you don’t poke ’em in the eyes. That is basically as long as you follow that, no fighter is going to think that you’re dirty.” (h/t GiveMeSport)

UFC star Aljamain Sterling has revealed Floyd Mayweather tried to ‘steal’ his girlfriend in 2016 when the pair attended the same event.

Aljamain Sterling is fresh from his successful bantamweight title defense at UFC 273 against rival Petr Yan. Now through his biggest challenge as champion, Sterling will be looking ahead to his next opponent with names such as Jose Aldo and TJ Dillashaw being thrown into contention. Floyd Mayweather on the other hand remains retired from boxing, however, he is scheduled to take on Don Moore in an exhibition clash on a helipad in Dubai.

Aljamain Sterling Recalls Floyd Mayweather Incident

Aljamain Sterling has revealed how he was ready to ‘fight it out’ with Mayweather back in 2016 after the incident occurred at a party the party was attending. Sterling spoke to Spinnin’ Backfist to reveal the story.

“He sent over his minions to try to pick her up, this was back in like 2016 I think. But I was still undefeated at the time. He sent over a guy first who said we can both come down and I was like, ‘Man I’m not stupid’.

“If I come over there you guys are going to try and take her up and try to push me back and then I will face some type of way and I will have to create a scene because you are not going to punk me like that. He left and came back with a girl who said, ‘Yeah you can both come down’. I was like, ‘Listen I know how the scene of this movie goes’.

“You can tell Floyd he is undefeated in boxing and I am undefeated in MMA, if we want to figure out what is the better sport we could fight out today. I don’t think they went and actually told him that, but listen I am a big fan but you aren’t about to have me looking stupid out here.” (Transcribed by Mirror)
