Tyron Woodley

Tyron Woodley was on Instagram Live with Ariel Helwani yesterday and revealed that he would indeed be getting the infamous Jake Paul tattoo that was agreed upon for both sides in a bet leading up to their boxing match in August.

‘The Chosen One’ caused Paul some problems last month but ultimately slumped to a decision defeat in his boxing debut.

Post-fight, the YouTuber agreed to rematch Woodley if he honored their tattoo bet. So far, the former UFC champion has failed to do so and as a result, Paul has turned his attention to a potential grudge match with Tommy Fury.

“Tommy Fury should have never even been in position for the bag,” Woodley said on Instagram with Ariel Helwani. “I’m gonna just let the week go through and see what happens. I think the most sensible thing to do is run it back, I think I’m getting this tattoo Saturday, by the way. Yeah, I just feel like I should do it because it’s a solid thing to do. I’m going to do it on Saturday.”

Paul issued some guidelines following their bout on his social media saying that Woodley cannot get it covered and that is must be visible with shorts and a shirt on. Woodley says he has not yet decided where he will get it, and is considering his knuckles as the spot to put it.

“I don’t know yet, I’m gonna think about it,” Woodley said. “Not neck, not face. I should have put it across my f*cking knuckles. To me it’s like this, if a dude wants to pay me to whip his ass, since he supposedly ‘paid me and promoted the fight’, then I love you. (Laughs). Because you’re that dumb.” (Transcribed by MMA Fighting)

It remains to be seen if Woodley will actually follow through with the bet, but it certainly seems like that’s the direction he’s leaning. Paul in the meantime, is looking for his next opponent and while a rematch with Woodley isn’t out of the realm of possibility, the man Paul seems to have set his sets on is Tommy Fury. The UK boxer has already turned multiple offers to fight Paul and scoffed when the internet celebrity made a “final” $1 million proposal. This issue in fight talks with Fury could present a lucrative opportunity for Woodley.

Do you think Tyron Woodley will get the tattoo? Who’s next for Jake Paul?

Jake Paul has sent a final message to Tommy Fury to take the fight.

After Paul and Fury both won on the same Showtime boxing card in Cleveland, many thought that would be the next fight. Since then, however, it appears talks have stalled as Paul came out and said Fury turned him down twice and gave him a $1 million final offer.

To no surprise, Fury responded and made it clear $1 million was not enough money for this magnitude of a fight. Yet, Jake Paul says he is giving Fury the biggest purse of his career so he’s not sure why the Englishman isn’t making the fight.

“This is the last time I’m speaking about this guy if we don’t end up fighting because I’m starting to get pissed off,” Jake Paul said in a video he released on social media. “Tommy Fury’s about to fumble the biggest bag of his life. Tommy, I made you famous. I gave you the biggest payday of your life. You came to the US, got your US debut for your dream to come true. I gave you a chance to shine in front of the whole entire world, and now I’m offering to quadruple the biggest payday of your life that I gave you to fight.

“For everyone at home, this is what happens when you give someone clout and you give them an ego,” Paul continued. “They start to think they’re better than they actually are. I have dozens of other fighters calling me out every single week, Tommy. You’re replaceable. It’s the same thing that I told Dillon Danis in our DMs.”

Paul continued with his final message to Fury to accept the fight and showed him how Dillon Danis did the same thing asking for money and lost the chance to box the brash YouTuber-turned-boxer.

Although Fury is not the biggest boxing star, Paul says it’s the fight he wants and he hopes the Brit accepts the fight.

“I told Dillon there was definitely potential in negotiating up to $1 million. And if I have to some of my own purse to get this done, I will,” Paul said. “I told Dillon, ‘I personally want to fight you the most but A, If you don’t take it right now, the odds of us fighting in the future are very slim; and B, obviously, this is the biggest fight you will most likely ever see; and C, we have other offers out there, so you need to make an offer in less than 72 hours.’

“Dillon fumbled his bag. He didn’t want to fight. And guess what? I am never gonna fight Dillon Danis ever. He missed the biggest opportunity of his life. He thought I was joking around. And now, Dillon Danis is in jail. Tommy, do you want to end up in jail? Take the fight, Tommy,” Paul concluded.

Whether or not Fury will respond to Paul’s final message is uncertain. However, it does appear that time is running out to make the fight.

According to the YouTube star-turned boxer Jake Paul, Tommy Fury has denied two “abundant offers” to fight.

Jake Paul is turning up the heat and issuing a third and final offer to the 7-0 boxer. The two were linked to fighting each other after the blockbuster Aug. 29 Showtime event between Paul and former UFC champion Tyron Woodley featured Fury on the undercard.

On fight night, Paul was rocked in the fourth round against Woodley, but the “Problem Child” controlled the tempo for most of the fight and won by split decision victory. Overall, the Showtime boxing card was a success having tipped the scales with a promising estimate of 480,000-500,000 PPV buys. In the undercard, Tommy Fury outpointed the 7-5 MMA fighter Anthony Taylor to a unanimous decision victory.

The patience of Paul appears to be wearing thin as he insists that Fury take the fight. Paul has been criticized for not having faced “real” boxers and is looking to erase that sentiment by defeating Fury in his fifth boxing fight to date.

“Tommy ‘Fury’ has denied 2 abundant offers from my team. Timmy “Fury”…. this is your last offer… $1 million, 8 rounds. 4x more than you have ever made. Either step up and fight OR accept that you and your Dad don’t believe in you @tommytntfury.” Jake Paul posted.

A report we ran earlier this month indicated that Woodley and Jake Paul both walked away with a disclosed $2-million dollar payday. With Paul offering just half of that amount to Fury, it remains to be seen if the half-brother of the famous boxing heavyweight champion will be enticed by the offer.

Jake Paul followed up his final offer on Twitter by drawing attention to the fact that “real fighters” have been more difficult to negotiate with than MMA fighters. In addition to offering him his biggest payday ever, Paul continued to prod on social media as to why these “real fighters” have a chance to shut him up yet they refuse to respond to his negotiations.

Derek Brunson Responds To Jake Paul’s Callout: ‘I’d Cook You’

Derek Brunson has responded to Jake Paul after the undefeated boxer seemingly called him out. However, White told Paul to fight someone his own size so he called out Brunson. “Dana admitted this […]

Derek Brunson has responded to Jake Paul after the undefeated boxer seemingly called him out.

After Paul defeated Tyron Woodley by decision, the brash YouTuber-turned-boxer called out Jorge Masvidal and told Dana White to give “Gamebred” permission. However, White told Paul to fight someone his own size so he called out Brunson.

“Dana admitted this morning that I would destroy “170” pound Masvidal. So Dana will you give Brunson permission to make some real money? Dana?” Jake Paul posted on Twitter.

Now, to no surprise, Brunson responded to Paul as the middleweight contender said earlier he would be open a tune-up fight against the undefeated boxer. Despite being known as a wrestler, Brunson believes he would be able to beat Paul in a boxing match.

“When Hannah Montana’s boyfriend meets Blonde Brunson . This ain’t Disney @jakepaul I’d cook you,” Brunson wrote.

Although Derek Brunson seems interested in boxing Jake Paul, it’s highly unlikely it will happen. Brunson is currently under UFC contract and White has made it clear he has no interest in letting current UFC fighters take a boxing match against Paul as White and the 24-year-old have a feud and don’t seem like they will work together despite Paul wanting to.

As for Brunson, he’s coming off a dominant submission victory over Darren Till to extend his winning streak to five. Before the win over Till, he earned a decision win over Kevin Holland and a TKO win over Edmen Shahbazyan where many expected Brunson to lose those fights. He also beat Ian Heinisch and Elias Theodorou by decision. He has made it clear he will wait for the title shot and hopes to rematch Israel Adesanya as his last loss actually was to the champ at UFC 230 as Adesnaya scored a first-round TKO win.

Jake Paul was not a fan of the Vitor Belfort vs. Evander Holyfield spectacle.

Belfort went one-on-one with Holyfield in a boxing match on Sept. 11. Holyfield is 58 years old and looked every bit of it. Belfort ended up knocking down the “Real Deal” on his way to a first-round TKO win.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting’s The MMA Hour, Paul said he feels Belfort disrespected the sport of boxing with his matchup against Holyfield.

“Look, he beat up an old man. He disrespected the sport of boxing in my opinion. Holyfield is a legend, but he shouldn’t be fighting somebody that’s in there early 40s. It should be Mike Tyson vs. Holyfield or something like that. It was just sad to see,  the whole entire thing.”

After the fight, Belfort issued a $30 million challenge to Paul. The popular YouTuber responded, saying that Belfort simply doesn’t have the name recognition to warrant such a bout.

“I mean, it’s a bit ridiculous. I mean, there’s better people out there. I mean, like you were saying, Vitor is not that big of a name. He just isn’t. He’s not even as big of a name as Tyron [Woodley]. So I’m trying to get bigger with each one of these fights. I’m trying to have more of a challenge. And I think Vitor is a lot easier of a fight than Tyron. He’s older, he’s on steroids, and such. But that doesn’t really excite me that much. The money excites me. If they would put the money into a bank account, an escrow account and show proof, then maybe that’s where the conversation could start. But it’s not as big of a fight as the 10 other people that are calling me out or that even we’re already talking to.”

Triller promoted Belfort vs. Holyfield. The company had promoted two of Paul’s bouts. Jake Paul ended up signing with Showtime Sports for his matchup Tyron Woodley. Paul won that fight via split decision.

Vitor Belfort is making it known that he wants a fight with Jake Paul next or else.

Vitor Belfort is coming off his exhibition bout win over Evander Holyfield and he is already looking ahead to his next match. Belfort wants a fight with Jake Paul and he is willing to resort to threats to get it done. Although he not threatening Paul with violence, instead he is threatening to make a YouTube channel. Paul is a notable YouTube celebrity who made the transition to boxing. Belfort, although new to boxing, had a long career in MMA, however, is he really suited for YouTube?

“Jake Paul, he deserves it,” Belfort said in his post-fight press conference (via MMAMania.com). “He’s choosing his opponents, he’s working with a guy [Nakisa Bidarian] who used to work with Lorenzo [Fertitta], our ex-owner. He’s picking his fights. Now he cannot say no to me. He gotta say yes. We gotta teach him a lesson. If he says no, all his little fans, they gonna come — I’m gonna create a YouTube channel and they’re gonna have to come follow me. I’m gonna create a YouTube channel and I have three amazing athletes in my house and we’re gonna entertain all his fans. Because he doesn’t have morals, he doesn’t have family values. He doesn’t represent the fighters.”

Belfort’s win over Holyfield does put him in a good position to receive another fight under the Triller umbrella. However, a fight with Paul seems unlikely at this time. Paul has suggested that he may be done challenging MMA fighters altogether. Holyfield was stepping into this fight as a replacement for Oscar De La Hoya, whom Belfort should have been fighting. His next bout could easily be the one with De La Hoya.

Despite multiple possibilities in boxing at this time, Belfort seems stuck on wanting Paul. He has even decided to sweeten the deal by offering a $25million dollar winner takes all fight. If the money doesn’t do it he has jumped on the Paul/Woodley tattoo train as well.

“He’s just getting attention and somebody’s gotta give him the whip,” Belfort said. “And that’s me. I’m his father. I’m going to put him on my lap. He’s going to meet daddy. Big daddy. He gonna meet Big Daddy. You watch, I promise you. He gonna say ‘Big Daddy,’ that’s what he’s gonna call me. He’s gonna make a tattoo, ‘Big Daddy.’”
“No if, when. He’s gonna call me Big Daddy. That’s all. And he’s going to have to understand that this has levels. In life, there’s levels, first class, second class, third class. That’s how tennis works.”
