UFC 307 takes place on Saturday night, and MMA News is here to bring you the final faceoffs from the ceremonial weigh-ins!

The upcoming pay-per-view event at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah provides a chance for UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira to further enhance his legacy on mixed martial arts’ biggest stage.

After capturing the gold in November 2023 and withstanding challenges from Jamahal Hill and Ji?í Procházka this year, “Poatan” is next tasked with stalling the championship ambitions of Khalil Rountree to continue his reign atop the 205-pound mountain.

Title stakes will also be present for the co-main event, which will see Raquel Pennington make her first defense of the bantamweight belt opposite returning ex-divisional queen Julianna Peña.

Elsewhere on the UFC 307 card, the legendary José Aldo looks to continue his pursuit of a late-career title shot after a successful return from retirement this past May, Kayla Harrison makes her second Octagon outing, the always entertaining Kevin Holland shoots for the middleweight top 10, and former two-time strawweight queen Carla Esparza enters the cage for the final time.

Ahead of the event, all 24 fighters successfully made weight. With that, every fight has remained intact, and all that remains on Friday night is for the athletes to face off one final time at the UFC 307 ceremonial weigh-ins!

Check out a live stream via the official UFC YouTube channel below, commencing at 6 p.m. ET.

Floyd Mayweather

Jose Aldo Jr and Floyd Mayweather Jr have reportedly agreed to a boxing match at some point in the future. The former UFC champion has added his name to the long list of people who are apparently going to box against Mayweather in an exhibition bout.

Earlier this year, Jose Aldo retired from MMA and got a Hall of Fame spot for his lifelong career of greatness. Just last night, he made his professional debut in boxing with a unanimous decision victory over 0-3 Emmanuel Zambrano. Aldo is already booked for his next match against his former UFC opponent Jeremy Stephens. This fight is booked for Gamebred Boxing 4 on April 1.

After his professional boxing debut victory, Brazil’s Aldo spoke with MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz to discuss the Floyd Mayweather bout. Officially, this may be an exhibition, but not for the Brazilian. Jose Aldo explained:

“His side has already agreed, my side too. We’re now waiting for [the promoters] to get the deal done … It might be exhibition on [Mayweather’s] side, but not for me. It’s a punch to the face like always. He knows that.”

Floyd Mayweather keeping busy in retirement

After facing Conor McGregor in 2017, Floyd Mayweather called it a career and retired from professional boxing. Since then, the US-born athlete has taken exhibition bouts against Deji Olatunji, Mikuru Asakura, Don Moore, Logan Paul, and Tenshin Nasukawa. Upcoming he is already booked against Aaron Chalmers.

According to rumors, Floyd is due to have a boxing bout against Anthony Taylor, Jake Paul, Conor McGregor, Nate Diaz, Manny Pacquiao, Henry Cejudo, and Ian McCall. Now, we can add Jose Aldo to the list.

Jose Aldo

The all-time MMA great Jose Aldo will be soon stepping into the boxing ring after his retirement from the UFC.

It has been confirmed through social media and multiple other sources that Jose Aldo will be making his professional boxing debut against Alberto Emmanuel Zambrano at Shooto Brazil Boxing on February 10. Fans will be able to enjoy the match live on UFC Fight Pass.

Alberto Emmanuel Zambrano is a boxer from Argentina with a 0-3 professional record with his most recent bout being in November 2020.

Hall of Fame career Jose Aldo

Brazil’s Jose Aldo is an all-time great in MMA. The 36-year-old fighter was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame just earlier this month at UFC 283 in Rio de Janeiro.

Aldo was merely 21 years old when he made his debut in the WEC. The Brazilian Muay Thai striker would earn five consecutive TKO wins and then a shot at the WEC featherweight title. He then stopped reigning champion Mike Thomas Brown (Current American Top Team coach) via TKO in round 2.

After Aldo battered Uriah Faber for five rounds, the UFC would absorb the lighter-weight division into their organization. He would then have an unbeaten streak having defended his world title in eight consecutive bouts. In a blockbuster event, he lost his throne to Conor McGregor.

Later on, he would recapture UFC featherweight gold, and then eventually fight for a UFC bantamweight championship. Jose Aldo spent his 14-year-long career either as a champion or ranked in the top five.
