Tyson Fury and his team have been accused of bribing a farmer in an attempt to cover up drugs cheating dating back to 2015.

The claim centers around failed drugs test for both Tyson and his cousin Hughie five years ago. At the time the Fury’s blamed the positive tests on uncastrated wild boar meat or contaminated supplements. Ultimately Tyson Fury accepted a back-dated two-year ban before being allowed to resume his boxing career in 2017.

Despite the matter being done and dusted Lancashire farmer, Martin Carefoot has decided to bring forward fresh allegations whilst Fury is coming off the biggest win of his career over Deontay Wilder.

He claims he was offered £25,000 to lie about supplying the Fury family with wild boar meat, although he was never paid. Mr Carefoot also claims he signed two witness statements confirming he had supplied the team with wild boar meat, which have now been forwarded to UK Anti-Doping (UKAD).

A statement from UKAD to The Mail on Sunday read: “We will always review any potential evidence in relation to any anti-doping offence and take investigatory action where necessary. If anyone has information that could be of interest to UKAD and its investigations on any matter, we urge them to contact us.”

Frank Warren, the promoter of Tyson Fury has scoffed at the new claims against his fighter and said the farmer is just after a payday.

“This man wrote me a letter last October, full of errors, asking for money. I told him to clear off and take it up with UK anti-doping, instead he has clearly sold his story to a newspaper. Tyson has never ever met this man and his story is total bulls***.”

The head of the WBC Mauricio Sulaiman appears to be backing his heavyweight champion amid these new cheating claims, he said. “The person who has claimed he accepted money to lie should be the one on trial, in my personal opinion, especially when he has waited five years to tell his story

“Secondly, around this time Tyson was not involved with the WBC, he did not fight Klitschko for the WBC belt, it was for other titles, so this issue does not impact on him being our heavyweight world champion” (Transcribed by TalkSport)

Tyson Fury has finally responded to Deontay Wilder who is blaming a heavy walkout costume for suffering his first professional loss against Fury last month.

‘The Gypsy King’ put on a dominant display when the pair rematched on February 22. Within seven rounds Fury had dropped Wilder twice and forced his corner to throw in the towel.

In the days following the fight the American told media he would be evoking the rematch clause in his contract and triggering a trilogy fight against Fury. Wilder also claimed he was compromised during the fight due to wearing a costume which was too heavy, he said.

“He didn’t hurt me at all, but
the simple fact is my uniform was way too heavy for me. I didn’t have no legs
from the beginning of the fight. In the third round, my legs were just shot all
the way through.

“I was only able to put it on
(for the first time) the night before but I didn’t think it was going to be
that heavy. It weighed 40, 45-some pounds with the helmet and all the
batteries. I wanted my tribute to be great for Black History Month. I wanted it
to be good and I guess I put that before anything.”

Wilder has been mostly ridiculed for the excuse but Fury has remained silent on the issue until now. Speaking on Good Morning Britain he pointed out Wilder’s training methods contradict his excuse but understood the necessity to find any reason no matter how ridiculous for defeat, he said.

“He said he trains in a 45lbs
weighted vest every day. I can understand where he’s coming from because in
every fighter’s mind there’s always got to be a reason why they’ve lost. It can
never be the simple fact of ‘I wasn’t good enough on the night, I lost to the
better guy.’

“It’s
always gotta be ‘the camp was wrong, it was the trainer’s fault, it was my
suit, it was my toe’. It’s always something was a problem. With me if I’m
injured or whatever the problem is, it’s like ‘ok the performance wasn’t great,
I’m going to move on and crack on’.”

Tyson Fury says Anthony Joshua isnt real champion

Tyson Fury has claimed compatriot and unified
heavyweight title holder Anthony Joshua only has his leftovers and can’t be
considered a true champion.

‘The Gypsy King’ dethroned Wladimir Klitschko in Dusseldorf five years ago and won he WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO world belts but was quickly stripped as he suffered mental health issues. All of those titles Fury once held are now in the possession of Olympic champion Joshua.

Speculation about a fight between the two Englishman has been rife since Fury beat American Deontay Wilder to claim the WBC and Ring Magazine heavyweight titles in February. Speaking about the potential all-British showdown on Good Morning Britain Fury revealed he believes there would be only one legitimate champion heading into the fight, he said.

“I’ve already been the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world when I beat Klitschko, I had all of the belts. So as far as I’m concerned, Anthony Joshua has only got my leftovers because I never lost those belts. I had to vacate them for mental health problems. They’re my belts. How can you claim to be the champion when you haven’t beaten the champion?”

The 6’9ft heavyweight revealed he is approaching the end of his career and once he has beaten Wilder again and faced Joshua his legacy and career will be compete, he said.

“I’ve got two
more fights left and then we’ll really think about what we’re doing and go from
there,’ he said.  I’m undefeated in 31
professional fights and this is my 12th year as a professional.”

‘The Gypsy King’ also commented on his upcoming trilogy fight with Wilder who triggered his rematch clause despite being brutally stopped just two weeks ago. Despite having got the best of his future opponent twice previously Fury insists he’ll still be taking a third fight very seriously.

“I beat him the first time and I beat him the second time and I will surely beat him the third time. He’s a very worthy opponent. He’s a very dangerous opponent and he has the eraser knockout. You’re only one mistake away from disaster, you have to be switched on for all 12 rounds.”

Dana White believes Deontay Wilder costume excuse

UFC President Dana White
believes Deontay Wilder’s loss to Tyson Fury was in part down to his 40lb ring
walk costume.

Last weekend White
skipped his promotions trip to Auckland, New Zealand and instead watched the eagerly
anticipated rematch between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury in Las Vegas.

He was probably right to do so as ‘The Gypsy King’ put on one of the best heavyweight performances you’ll ever see. He dominated Wilder from the first bell, dropping the infamous puncher twice and ultimately forcing his corner to throw in the towel.

In the aftermath of the fight Wilder told media he’d be taking the rematch and claimed his loss was only the result of his ring walk costume which was too heavy and hindered him in the actual fight.

The excuse has been laughed at by many fight fans who are calling Wilder a sore loser. However, the UFC boss believes the costume excuse is legitimate and says it was surely a factor in the American suffering his first professional loss.

“I don’t know man. I think there’s a lot to it and you know. White told TMZ Sports. “Fury looked awesome. Fury looked great. Fury fought a great fight. Fury fought a perfect fight but, if you think about boxing and fights, when fighters are getting ready, they’re in the back, their relaxing, some guys sleep, some guys just lay around and chill. Then you get up, time it out and do your warm up. Then you throw something on to stay warm, you don’t put all this gear on and all this stuff. That’s why I don’t do any of that bullsh*t in the UFC, I don’t like it.

“It definitely played
a part in it yeah. Throwing on a 50lb weight vest and walking out into a ring
for a heavyweight championship fight – you’ve never seen anyone do that in
history. Is that the reason he lost? The reason he lost is because Fury is a badass
boxer and he fought the perfect fight that night and executed his game plan. But
it played a factor in why Deontay lost.”

Legendary boxing
promoter Bob Arum has confirmed former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder
has officially triggered his rematch clause and will face Tyson Fury in a
trilogy fight.

Speaking to Ringside Reporter the Top Rank boss confirmed the process has officially begin to make Wilder/Fury III, he said.

“Wilder and his representatives formerly notified us last night that they have accepted the rematch and are going forward. It’s going to happen in the summer, before the Olympics, middle of July.

This news has already been fed back to Anthony Joshua and his team who had been hoping for an all English heavyweight undisputed fight. Arum insists that fight can still be made later this year, provided Joshua gets past another of his fighters Kurbat Pulev. The 38-year-old Bulgarian is the British superstar’s mandatory challenger and is believed to be taking on Joshua in June. Arum believes it’ll be Pulec who comes out victorious in that bout, paving the way for an all Top Rank unification bout.

“I told Eddie Hearn, I said ‘Stop looking at a Tyson Fury fight this year. You’ve got to fight Pulev in June, and Joshua is going to get knocked on his arse’ I guarantee you that Pulev will knockout Joshua like Tyson Fury knocked out Wilder.

“So yes,
I will look to make a Pulev-Fury fight to unify all the belts by the end of the
year, but Mr. Hearn will have nothing to do with it.”

“If Joshua beats Pulev and Fury beats Wilder, then why not do a Joshua-Fury fight at the end of the year. And we would certainly then sit with Eddie and work it out. So everybody is saying the same thing. But again, these fights have to play out first.”
