Ali Abdelaziz is flattered that many are linking him with Jon Jones.

Jones made headlines recently when he announced that he had amicably parted ways with his long time management company First Row Management after 11 years as negotiations for a Francis Ngannou fight continue to be at a standstill.

That means Jones is a free agent as far as management companies are concerned, and many observers were quick to call for him to sign with Abdelaziz’s Dominance MMA.

Although highly-controversial, Abdelaziz has clients ranging from former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, Kamaru Usman, Justin Gaethje, Henry Cejudo and many more stars who all seem happy to have him handling business for them.

And while he won’t be chasing Jones to sign him, Abdelaziz is more than ready to help him with negotiations with UFC president Dana White.

“I wish nothing but the best for Jon, and I’m flattered my name come up,” Abdelaziz told MMA Junkie. “But I think Jon is the only person that can help Jon. Everybody thinks I can do magic, and people even say, ‘I hate Ali Abdelaziz so much. But I think he can help Jon.’ Of course, if I can help anybody, I will help them. I help guys I don’t even manage. Georges St-Pierre, when he came back (to fight Michael Bisping), I flew on a private plane with Dana White to meet him and Ari Emanuel to get a deal one. I didn’t make a dollar off Georges. Georges probably made $10 million. And I love Georges, and it was an honor to help Georges St-Pierre. Jon knows my number. I’m sure he has a great team around him, great people advising him. But if (he needs) any advice, I will be more than happy to advise Jon out of respect. It doesn’t have to mean, ‘Oh, I want to sign Jon Jones. I want to be his manager.’

“At the end of the day, I never invite myself to a party. If somebody wants to invite me to their party, we can talk. But I wish him nothing but the best and I wish Dana just to sit with him and they can talk with each other. They can sit in the room. Dana hated Kamaru (Usman) at one point. My job is to make peace with the fighter and the promoter.”

Perhaps Abdelaziz is the person who can get Jones vs. Ngannou to become a reality?

Khabib Nurmagomedov would smash WWE superstar, John Cena, in the wrestling ring according to MMA manger, Ali Abdelaziz.

‘The Eagle’ surprisingly retired from the sport back in October after beating Justin Gaethje to unify the UFC’s lightweight division.

After months of uncertainty as UFC boss, Dana White tried to persuade the undefeated Russian to stick around, Nurmagomedov relinquished his 155lb belt last month, cementing his decision to retire. Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler are set to square off for the vacant title at UFC 262.

The 32-year-old is in his fighting prime and still appears to have a lot to give as an athlete. However, as of late he has been focusing on the athletic endeavours of others. Nurmagomedov has been coaching fighters and he now on his own promotion – Eagle Fighting Championship.

During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Nurmagomedov’s manager was asked about the possibility of his client transitioning to professional wrestling.

“Any of these soft steroid freaks wants to go ahead and have a wrestling match with Khabib, they want to get beat up for real. They know who to call. They need to call me,” Abdelaziz said. “He’ll go there and he’ll smash John Cena’s face no problem.”

Conor McGregor holds wins in three of the UFC’s weight classes. Stretching from Featherweight all the way to Welterweight, his collection of scalps is impressive, to say the least. McGregor’s last bout at Welterweight lasted mere seconds when he absolutely demolished a caught-in-the-headlights Donald Cerrone at UFC 246. The champion of the division, however, is Kamaru Usman. Ali Abdelaziz is Usman’s manager, so the constant bashing of the Irishman’s name shouldn’t be a surprise. You mention McGregor and you will usually get some attention directed your way, such is his star power. With Kamaru Usman set to fight Jorge Masvidal in the coming weeks at UFC 261, gaining some media attention from mentioning McGregor’s name makes sense. I mean, the ex-manager and friend of Khabib Nurmagomedov isn’t exactly going to have nice things to say about one of his greatest rivals.

Conor McGregor has his hands full with Dustin Poirier, with their trilogy fight looking to be set for the 10th June. The rematch in January at UFC 257 did not go McGregor’s way. Devastating leg kicks led the Louisianan to a lucrative victory. After suffering his first every KO loss, the Irishman is itching for revenge with him recently revealing that a front kick is the path to victory. But what if McGregor gets through Poirier in the trilogy bout, could a trip to welterweight be on the cards?

Usman Masvidal

It looks like we could see Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal as potential TUF coaches before a rematch.

Usman successfully defended his welterweight title following an impressive third-round TKO win over former teammate Gilbert Burns in the main event of UFC 258 last night.

Following the win, Usman called for a rematch with Masvidal and planned on finishing him this time. That led many to speculate whether they could be potential coaches for the return of The Ultimate Fighter later this year with UFC president Dana White not ruling it out.

As far as their managers are concerned, though, they are also discussing the possibility along with a rematch.

Here’s what Masvidal’s co-manager Malki Kawa said.

“Chess not checkers.

“Dana said no percentages of fans in an arena. Full sell out. Either in vegas or Florida. Masvidal vs usman, first shoot TUF, then fight in Miami, at the triple A. What a fight to welcome fans back to. Miami would turn up big for that one. Book it!

“Masvidal wants it.”

Usman’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, meanwhile, is already talking to the UFC.

“Kamaru Usman’s manager Ali Abdelaziz just told me he’s already talking to UFC about Usman and Masvidal as TUF coaches. ‘It’s what Kamaru wants and Jorge deserves a full camp. But he and his team better be on their best behavior. We already beat them up inside and out of cage.’”

Abdelaziz would provide another warning to which Kawa responded.

“Kamaru will sit with the boss next week and will let you know what’s next. Be great full that the champ is giving you opportunity Don’t price yourself out@USMAN84kg@danawhite”

Hopefully, egos are kept in check and we get the rematch.

Do you think we’ll see Usman and Masvidal as TUF coaches before a welterweight title rematch?

Ali Abdelaziz: $100M Wouldn’t Persuade Khabib To Rematch McGregor

Ali Abdelaziz who manages Khabib Nurmagomedov has played down a potential rematch between ‘The Eagle’ and Conor McGregor.

Nurmagomedov beat Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in October before announcing his retirement from the sport. Despite doubling down on his retirement claims Khabib’s future in the sport remains unclear, with UFC boss Dana White set to try to convince Nurmagomedov to fight on when the pair meet in Abu Dhabi prior to UFC 257. White recently went on record saying he is hopeful of making a rematch between Nurmagomedov and McGregor if the Irishman beats Dustin Poirier on January 23.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Abdelaziz was less optimistic about the potential match-up.

“(Would) beating Conor McGregor mean anything? I don’t know,” Abdelaziz said. “But I think it would mean a lot for the fans, and I think financially, it’s a huge fight. But we know Khabib. It’s hard to persuade him financially.

“But my man Dana White and Khabib, they’re going to meet,” Abdelaziz added. “I think they’re going to meet in Abu Dhabi, and after that, Khabib’s going to come to Vegas and they’re going to go to dinner in Vegas, and we’re going to figure it out. Like I said, this is big boys’ business. I’m going to let them do what they do, and I’ll be a fan.”

Nurmagomedov beat McGregor by fourth round submission at UFC 229. The win was pretty comprehensive and for that reason Abdelaziz says Khabib has no real motivation to run things back.

“He beat the (expletive) out of Conor,” Abdelaziz said. “He did everything he wanted to do. He beat him in the striking department, he beat him the wrestling department, he beat him in the grappling department. He broke his soul. He took his will.

“We don’t really care about him. Somebody might say $100 million or something like that. I don’t think would persuade Khabib if Khabib didn’t’t want to fight. I really don’t know. I really didn’t pressure Khabib or ask him about it too much. I let him be.” (Transcribed by MMA Junkie)

Do you agree with Ali Abdelaziz? Is a rematch between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor unlikely?
