UFC blur out Francis Ngannou's name from Kamaru Usman's t shirt ahead of UFC 294 on Embedded

In another rather petty spat with former promotional heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou, footage has emerged showing the production team for the UFC blurring out any mention of the Cameroonian knockout artist from a t-shirt worn by close friend and former welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman during a recent episode of Embedded ahead of UFC 294.

Ngannou, a former undisputed heavyweight champion under the banner of the UFC, is slated to make his return to professional combat sports later this month in Saudi Arabia, making a boxing debut against undisputed WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury in Riyadh.

The outing will come as Batié native, Ngannou’s first since he headlined UFC 270 back in January of last year, when he successfully unified the heavyweight titles in a unification win over former interim titleholder, Ciryl Gane.

Francis Ngannou infamously departed the UFC in January

Completing his contractual obligations officially last December, Ngannou would depart the UFC under his own volition back in January of this year, before inking a multi-fight deal with the PFL (Professional Fighters League), ahead of a return to mixed martial arts competition in the opening quarter of next year.

Leaving on acrimonious terms with the promotion, and leader, Dana White, in particular, the long-standing grudge held against Ngannou appears to be fully fledged, with production crew for the promotion blurring out a portion of a t-shirt worn by Usman ahead of UFC 294 during an episode of Embedded, which promoted Ngannou’s boxing debut against Fury.

Are you looking forward to Francis Ngannou’s boxing debut later this month?

Conor McGregor hits out at Canelo Alvarez I'll stomp your ligaments out of your knees

Appearing to take a dig at undisputed middleweight champion, Canelo Alvarez in a bid to land a future rematch with common-foe, former world champion, Floyd Mayweather, former two-division UFC champion, Conor McGregor has claimed he would dispatch the Mexican boxer with ease if they ever fought.

McGregor, a former undisputed lightweight and featherweight champion under the banner of the UFC, has been sidelined from the Octagon since he headlined UFC 264 back in July 2021, fracturing his left tibia and fibula in a first round doctor’s stoppage TKO loss to former interim champion, Dustin Poirier.

Expected to make his return to active competition in the new year, McGregor has been pegged to fight Michael Chandler at the welterweight limit in 2024, having officially returned to the USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) testing pool last week – ahead of the anti-doping agency’s impending exit from the organization.

This morning, ahead of a planned return to the UFC, McGregor heaped praise on the above-mentioned Mayweather for his victory and performance against Jalisco native, Canelo back in 2013, before noting his hope to land a rematch with the Grand Rapids veteran in the future.

Taking umbrage with the Dubliner’s comments, Canelo hit back at McGregor – which has since led to a lengthy tirade aimed at the super middleweight champion, from the former UFC titleholder.

“Saul [Canelo Alvarez] you uncooked chicken, I’ll stomp the ligaments out of your knee joint,” Conor McGregor posted on his official X account. “I don’t even need hands to end you, I’ll kick you raw pink, leave you looking like you were left out in the sun too long haha freckle arse. I will see you and we weill see. Canelo is a cornflake, no sugar.”

Failing in his prior approaches to land a professional boxing rematch with former world champion, Floyd Mayweather following their initial 2017 bout – former UFC champion, Conor McGregor appears to be taking a ‘kill them with kindness’ approach this time around, praising the former’s title defense win over current champion, Canelo Alvarez.

McGregor, a former undisputed lightweight and featherweight champion under the banner of the UFC, fought former world champion boxer, Mayweather in a professional boxing debut back in 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Sharing a tense buildup over the course of the months ahead of their August clash, McGregor was eventually stopped with a standing tenth round TKO – with Mayweather snatching a 50-0 professional boxing record, and immediately calling time on his professional career following the stoppage victory.

Maintaining in the time since that he would likely beat and even stop Mayweather with strikes if they were to compete against each other again, McGregor, 35, had in his latest attempt to entice the Grand Rapids native to fight him once more, heralded his 2013 decision victory over current world champion and sport star, Canelo Alvarez.

“One of the greatest performances in professional boxing this was,” Conor McGregor posted on his official X account, accompanied by footage of Floyd Mayweather’s fight with Cnaelo Alvarez. “I landed more shots on Floyd than Canelo. I’d love another go.”

Expected to make his own fighting return for the first time since suffering a gruesome leg injury back in 2021, McGregor is pegged to fight Michael Chandler in a UFC comeback next year, at the welterweight limit to boot.

Serving as an opposing coach on The Ultimate Fighter 31 earlier this year against the former Bellator MMA lightweight champion, McGregor had initially planned a December comeback, however, has only returned to the outgoing anti-doping agency, USADA’s testing pool last week – and must first spend a period of six months in the testing pool.

Darren Till claims he would comatose KSI, Dillon Danis, Tommy Fury and Logan Paul after Misfits boxing match

Former UFC title challenger, Darren Till reacts to last nights Misfits boxing card, labelling the top two fights as an ‘atrocity’.

After all the build-up, all the talk, KSI, Dillon Danis, Logan Paul and Tommy Fury put on what can only be described as underwhelming performances.

In Paul Vs. Danis the latter was happy to plod forward with a high guard, occasionally flicking out a pathetic jab and rarely landing anything of significance throughout the contest. then when things got bad, Danis would try to mix in some grappling, before being untimely disqualified. While Paul weighs well over 200lbs, sporting a physique that explains all his steroid accusations, the American had no pop on his shots. Paul clearly won the contest, but his skills are that of a novice – far below where his raging ego believes he is.

Fury Vs. KSI was a tough watch, with KSI chose to do a poor impression of Michael ‘Venom’ Page, bouncing on his toes before throwing wildly. Then came the clinching.

KSI would elect to clinch constantly throughout the fight, ruining the chances of any sort of action happening. Fury was not much better, for a supposed professional boxer, he was poor and showed nothing special.

Darren Till reacts

Fans of combat sports took to social media on mass to criticize performances from the ‘crossover’ kings.

One of which was Darren Till, who was in the arena for the action and would not hold back on any of them. ‘The Gorilla’ then laid out his plans to ‘comatose’ one of them after he takes out Mike Perry.

Watched an absolute atrocity last night in the form of ‘boxing’

Logan is dog shit. Tommy is even more dog shit. KSI is dog shit. Dillon couldn’t even box eggs. No one won. Hell won cos we are living in it.
@PlatinumPerry was the only real fighter there last night & after I knockout him clean out, I would comatose all of the above. Bad. Real bad.
Goodnight, god bless.
The Gorilla
Congrats to @Misfitsboxing for the success of the show. The production n everything was pin point perfect. @SaurelandBros

Till and Perry are currently talking up a potential boxing clash between them,
