Up next, we have an interesting featherweight fight. The unbeaten prospect Bryce Mitchell faces the toughest test of his career when he takes on Andre Fili at UFC Vegas 12. Who’ll win? Let’s find out…

Round 1: Bryce Mitchell is using his kicks early to maintain range. He shoots in for a takedown. Andre Fili is defending well but ultimately succumbs to the grappling pressure. ‘Touchy’ is trying to work his way back up but Mitchell drags him back down and moves into the mount. Fili again squirms out of a tough spot before being dragged back down. Both men clearly have immense grappling ability – this should be a fun fight. Another scramble and Fili is back to his feet but Mitchell switches to the back and drags the fight back down. He moves into full mount. Mitchell postures up and starts dropping straight shots. Fili uses the space to explode out of the position. Mitchell tries to lock up a triangle choke but falls to his back and Fili is finally able to completely get back to his feet. Unfortunately for ‘Touchy’, the fight doesn’t stay there for long. Mitchell lands a punch upstairs before completing a takedown and riding out round one in top position.

Round 2: Mitchell opens up with two huge left hands at the start of round one. He shoots for a takedown but Fili manages to avoid it and separate. Another big punch from Mitchell. Fili doesn’t seem at all fazed by this. ‘Touchy’ lands a sharp knee and begins pouring it on. Mitchell lands a right hand before shooting in for the takedown. The fight is against the fence but Fili again manages to avoid being taken to the mat. The featherweight veteran is enjoying a much better round, he’s putting his hands together and defending takedowns. Three minutes into round two Mitchell finally secures the takedown he’s been working so hard for. ‘Thug Nasty’ is in side control and is working for the von flue choke – it looks tight but Fili manages to escape. A huge explosion from Fili at the round of round two brings the fight back to the feet. Mitchell’s mouthpiece goes flying out of his mouth. A clash sees the 26-year-old on his back as Fili tries to land ground and pound before the horn sounds.

Round 3: Mitchell secures a takedown about 30 seconds into the final round – this could be huge. ‘Thug Nasty’ seems content to sit in the guard and land short shots whenever he can. Fili is scrambling and eventually get back to his feet but is immediately dragged back down. Once there Fili explodes again and ends up in top position. He land a shot on ground before standing up. Mitchell scores with his hands before again dragging ‘Touchy’ to the mat. ‘Thug Nasty’ is trying to move into side control, he’s landing elbows in the process. Fili continues to space on the ground – he’s clearly talented in this area. He’s trying for submission but the clock is ticking down and we are into the final 30 seconds. Fili stands up with 10 seconds left on the clock but he eats a straight shot and is taken down once again as the buzzer sounds to end round three and this fight.

Lightweight action up next! Charles Rosa is looking to bounce back from his dominant decision loss to rising star Bryce Mitchell at UFC 249. Kevin Aguilar is the man standing in his way – he is currently riding a two-fight losing streak and is very much in need of a win tonight. Can he get it? Let’s find out.

Round 1: Charles Rosa opens up with a big body kick attempt but eats a jab from Kevin Aguilar and briefly drops to the mat – looks more of a slip than anything. Both fighters are taking turns at unleashing their strikes with some success. Rose is rattling off leg kicks. Aguilar is rushing forward and catching his opponent on the end of strikes. Aguilar pops Rose with a jab then lands a looping right hand – the biggest shot of the fight. Rose takes it well and goes back to his heavy kicking game. He shoots in for his first takedown on the fight but Aguilar fires off some hammer fists to prevent it. The round ends with both men swinging big but missing wildly.

Round 2: Rosa opens open with a karate style lead leg attacks – he’s not landing anything but certainly has the attention of Aguilar. Rose lands a big kick to the body, that one looked nasty. Aguilar leaps in and catches Rose on the end of a shot. He follows that up with a superman punch attempt but it falls short. Not a lot is landing from either man right now. They are hitting leg kicks which sound brutal but are mostly being blocked. Rosa lands a big body kick and gets out the way of a combination of punches from his opponent. Rosa tries to fire off another body kick but Aguilar inadvertently dips into it and takes it flush in the face. Rosa is starting to dominant this fight. His kicks are landing big and Aguilar is no longer able to land clean. Final 10 seconds and both men are swinging wild. Aguilar looks hurt. Rosa has blood streaming down his face as the round ends.

Round 3: Both men pick up where they left off in round two – throwing wild shots. Rosa lands a big straight down the pipe which stung Aguilar. Rosa keeps missing big and falling right into punching range – Aguilar is unable to make him pay. He momentarily has the back of his opponent but is unable to complete the takedown. This fight really appears to be getting away from Aguilar. Rosa is at range in his karate stance, staying busy and landing a lot. Aguilar to his credit is throwing back but is unable to land anything clean. Rosa dives in with a big hook which lands flush. Aguilar shoots for a takedown but it’s easily shrugged off. He tries again with the same result – he eats a big punch for his efforts and the round ends soon after.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Charles Rosa def. Kevin Aguilar via split decision

United States President Donald Trump has been very active within the mixed martial arts (MMA) community as of late.

Trump attended UFC 244 in November, has thrown his support behind UFC welterweight Colby Covington, and recently congratulated Tito Ortiz on his Combate Americas win over Alberto El Patron. Now, Trump has responded to UFC featherweight competitor Bryce Mitchell.

After Mitchell’s victory at UFC DC last week, Mitchell shouted President Trump out, offering to beat up his rival politicians. Now, responding via Twitter, President Trump has heaped praise on both Mitchell and Covington.

“ANTIFA will not be going after Bryce or @ColbyCovMMA anytime soon. They much prefer people who can’t fight back!”

It didn’t take Mitchell long to respond, thanking President Trump for the shoutout.

“Thank you Mr. President”

President Trump mentioned Covington, who will be headlining UFC 245 this weekend live on pay-per-view (PPV) from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, December 14. Covington takes on Kamaru Usman for the welterweight championship of the world. “Chaos” has been seeking a welterweight title shot for some time now. He’ll finally get it against “The Nigerian Nightmare.”

What do you make of President Trump shouting out Covington and Mitchell?
