MMACanada.net caught up with Clay “The Carpenter” Guida to ask him his opinion on his next opponent, Anthony “Showtime” Pettis. Guida admits to being impressed with “the kick heard around the world” but Guida thinks Ben Henderson showed Pettis too much respect in his standup, which lead to his loss. Guida plans to show Pettis what the UFC is all about.

When asked about his gameplan against Takanori Gomi at last month’s UFC 125. Guida says the plan was to have a lot of movement to avoid Gomi’s hard strikes. He says the “funky chicken dance” moves we saw from him were not entirely planned, but that he felt the wind in Gomi’s strikes that would just miss him and knew he’d be in trouble if even one landed, so he decided to keep moving. Video Roundup: The Five Most Memorable Insults in ‘TUF’ History

As we recently learned, the next season of The Ultimate Fighter will be coached by a grumpy mountain man who probably won’t spend any more time on set than he absolutely needs to, and a Brazilian dynamo whose grasp on the English language is limited to simple phrases like "I believe too much in my boxing" and "tub you are a cold — so we’re not expecting a verbal rivalry on par with Tito/Ken or Rampage/Rashad. Still, it’s TUF, so somebody’s gonna get told at some point. Can this season’s insults possibly stack up to some of our past favorites?

#5: "You’re like an expert swimmer who’s never been in a pool."

Matt Serra’s epic dress-down of Marc Laimon was his star-making moment — and a firm bitch-smack to every sideline-hater who talks tough without any intention of actually backing up his words. A year later, Serra was coaching that damn show.

#4: "Bro, you’re a male nurse."

Like a Katy Perry song, it’s annoying as hell, and yet you can’t get it out of your head. "Bro, you’re a male nurse" — I say that to all my friends now, no matter what their professions actually are. And it aggravates them too.

("Puleeaaze…You mean the dweeb in the alligator shirt? Yeah, I’ll fight him next.")

UFC.com inadvertently stole Dana White’s thunder this afternoon by announcing that Junior Dos Santos and Brock Lesnar will be the coaches on next season of The Ultimate Fighter before the UFC president could make the announcement during Tuesday’s conference call for the January 22 Fight for the Troops event.

White shot down media members during the Q&A who asked if he would name the TUF 13 team heads, explaining more than once that he would be announcing who the coaches would be at the end of the call, but was upstaged by his company’s website who posted the press release 15 minutes before he could break the news.

According to the release, the pair of heavyweights will meet at the end of the season and the winner will face champion Cain Velasquez when he returns from a shoulder injury in an estimated six months.

White, who admitted during the call that he had lied to reporters when he told them that he had not spoken to Lesnar since his loss to Cain Velasquez at UFC 121 in October also quashed rumors that the bout will be for the interim heavyweight title.

The full release is after the jump.

Dana White announced during the UFC: Fight for the Troops 2 conference call today that Heavyweights, Brock Lesnar and number one contender, Junior Dos Santos will coach the The Ultimate Fighter 13. It’s a surprising announcement since rumors have swirled that Lesnar is no longer interested in his MMA career following his title loss to Cain Velasquez.  The decision for making Lesnar and Dos Santos the coaches, came only 1 week and a half ago after Velasquez had to pull out of his upcoming title defense against Dos Santos having suffered a shoulder injury.  Filming for TUF 13 begins around January 24th.

Dana’s TUF 13 Top 3 Coaching Match-Ups

Dana White spoke with MMAFighting.com and says he’s got 3 ideas in mind for TUF 13 Coach pairings. The most obvious choice is Wanderlei Silva and Chael Sonnen. Dana White spoke with MMAFighting.com and says he’s got 3 ideas in mind for TUF 13 Coach pairings. The most obvious choice is Wanderlei Silva and Chael Sonnen. The rumors online have spread like wild-fire that these two guys will be the next coaches to go head-to-head on The Ultimate Fighter show to culminate in an anticipated Main Event bout where the two outspoken fighters could let their fists do the talking (so to speak). Sonnen’s suspension doled out by CSAC was cut in half on December 2nd after he faced the board in a hearing. His suspension will be lifted on March 2nd, which renders him conveniently available to do the show.

Another appealing coaching match-up, is Miguel Torres and Urijah Faber. Faber successfully returned to the Bantamweight division and these two facing each other in the cage is inevitable, so why not make a tv show of it? Torres is expected to fight February 5th in UFC 126, but as we’ve seen recently with White pulling Jon Fitch out of his match-up against Jake Ellenberger to now headline UFC 127 along with BJ Penn, if White wants Torres and Faber, White will make it happen.

Finally, White tossed out the idea of Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir who could meet for a rubber match following the show. However, it seems crowd excitement has waned on that idea and with Lesnar taking a hiatus out in the woods somewhere, it may not be a real choice for White…perhaps just a pitch he’s tossing out to throw us off the scent. We know how UFC loves to surprise us with their coaches.
