Andrew Tate and his brother are throwing their support behind Conor McGregor after the Irishman expressed an interest in running for president of his home country.

Widespread riots and protests have plagued The Emerald Isle after an Algerian immigrant allegedly stabbed a woman and three children outside of Gaelscoil Choláiste Mhuire, an Irish language primary school in Dublin’s north inner city. The incident sparked outrage over the country’s lax immigration laws with citizens and celebrities calling for a much-needed change.

Expressing his frustration over the discourse in his homeland, Conor McGregor threw his name into the hat of potential presidential candidates and immediately received an outpouring of support.

Speaking on their Rumble show TateSpeech, controversial kickboxing star Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan Tate, said that they would fully support McGregor’s bid for Ireland’s top office.

“I think that’s a wonderful idea,” Tristan Tate said. “I don’t know Conor, but Conor is a warrior. He knows violence very well. I would believe that Conor McGregor would be far more reluctant to send random Irish people to die in places like Iraq. I also believe that Conor McGregor, who’s a family man and a fighter, would be a lot more protective in a masculine way about his own people.”

He added, “We are 25% Irish and if Conor McGregor runs in any Irish election I will fly to Ireland and vote for him” (h/t FirstSportz).

Andrew Tate Concurs with his brother

Andrew Tate echoed his brothers’ sentiment, while also revealing the origin of their own Irish heritage.

“Our grandfather was born in Limerick that’s why we will personally vote for Conor McGregor,” Andrew Tate added.

Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk has also expressed his support for Conor McGregor’s political aspirations, saying: “I think you could take them all single-handed. Not even fair.”

An Irish MMA fighter has been denied almost $75,000 in damages after he was found to have won two fights following his road injury claim.

Wayne Tansey, a 37-year-old featherweight fighting out of Dublin, claimed to have been injured in a 2014 road accident caused by an 87-year-old driver. But his case fell apart in an Irish court after a cross examination revealed that Tansey had claimed back-to-back victories just months after the accident.

“Do you know a Ciaron Stapleton?” defense attorney Michael Murray asked Tansey. “Yes, and you fought him in December in an MMA cage and beat him at a time when boxers were allowed to knee each other.”

Wayne Tansey

Murray revealed to the court that a private investigator had sniffed out that Tansey, despite allegedly suffering grave injuries, not only got the w against Stapleton, but after a quick turnaround, went on to claim a second successive victory in February 2015.

“Now, eight years later you are telling this court that the road traffic collision you were involved in still causes you pain,” continued Murray. “Are you taking us for mugs here?”

Judge O’Donohue subsequently dismissed Tansey’s case and ordered him to leave the court immediately. A woman who accompanied Tansey to the court hearing was also thrown out.

Given that the judge had earlier heard that Tansey was quick to temper and had a prior conviction for assault, he asked his legal team to ensure the 37-year-old made his way completely outside the court premises.

“I want them on the street,” ordered Judge O’Donohue.

What’s your reaction to Wayne Tansey’s bumbling attempt to score $75K?

There has been a never-ending string of opinions in the wake of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s ill-timed brawl following his UFC 229 main event win over Conor McGregor.

The UFC’s biggest-ever pay-per-view event last Saturday (Oct. 6, 2018) from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, was supposed to be ‘The Eagle’s’ crowning achievement. In one way it was, as he submitted former two-division champion McGregor. However, that potentially historic win was marred by his actions shortly thereafter.

Khabib leaped into the crowd to fight McGregor’s training partner Dillon Danis, inciting a wildfire of violence. Three of Khabib’s teammates then scaled the cage and assaulted the Irish superstar. The bad blood definitely stems from McGregor’s infamous Brooklyn bus attack, and that’s understandable.

However, UFC 229 provided the stoic Khabib with the opportunity to shut McGregor up in the Octagon. He did that. But his normally soft-spoken style was uprooted by his actions. One UFC champion believes Khabib should not have allowed McGregor’s disrespect to change his own actions.

That man is middleweight champion Robert Whittaker. “Bobby Knuckles” sent a well-liked tweet Khabib’s way containing a deep quote about respect:

A Good Point

The 185-pound ruler has a good point. Nurmagomedov spent the majority of the build-up to UFC 229 keeping his mouth shut even though he probably wanted to explode inside.

Khabib accomplished his ultimate goal and dominated McGregor from pillar to post. There was no need to stoop to his level and commit outside-the-cage violence. The commission presiding over UFC 229 is not impressed and admitted that in a recent statement.

Khabib and McGregor will both face a complaint from the NSAC for their parts in the melee. The champion’s situation seems to be a bit more dire as the commission withheld his purse. Dana White doesn’t believe the NSAC should keep his whole $2,000,000 or strip him of the title. Khabib’s punishment is very much up in the air.

He’s soared up the UFC pound-for-pound rankings in the meantime.

The MMA world is almost collectively ecstatic that UFC 229’s main event will move forward as scheduled. Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov made weight and Conor McGregor did soon after at today’s UFC 229 early weigh-ins. That left most of the fight game ready to rejoice. But one person isn’t so excited, and it’s women’s strawweight veteran Felice Herrig.

Herrig will face Michelle Waterson in the opening bout of the UFC 229 main card from the T-Mobile Arena tomorrow night.

She’s apparently been getting some hatred online because of her anti-McGregor stance due to his controversial New York attack. Herrig was asked about this dynamic at the UFC 229 Media Day. She revealed to MMA Fighting (via Bloody Elbow) that it’s all because of his ‘nuthugger’ fans:

“I think because there’s controversy, and so many people they either love Conor or they hate him. So his nuthuggers are gonna be like ‘How dare you speak of the king like that? Blasphemy!’

Blind Followers?

‘Little Bulldog’ went on to offer her opinion that McGregor’s fan would follow him blindly no matter what he did. Those who would do anything at all for McGregor are the ones hating on her:

“I think it’s just because people will follow him blindly. He’s the kind of person who could be a cult leader and have all these little minions. The people that get pissed at me are his little minions who would kiss his feet. So that’s why I get hate, it’s because he’s so loved or hated or controversial.”

Yet Herrig is undeterred. She is not happy with his controversial assault earlier this year, and will never be. Herrig even went as far as to call McGregor a “piece of s**t” for his attack on several fighters:

“I don’t care, what he did was wrong,” she said. “I still think he’s a piece of sh-t, and I’m always going to think he’s a piece of sh-t.”

Conor McGregor Wanted To Fight Ben Henderson With One Weird Catch

Although UFC president Dana White continuously denies it, it appears as if there could be a hole in the relationship of the promotion and their biggest star, reigning 145-pound title holder the “Notorious” Conor McGregor.

This theory was never more evident than it was earlier this week when the UFC pulled McGregor from his scheduled UFC 200 (July 9, 2016) headliner against Nate Diaz after McGregor refused to participate in all of the company’s promotional demands.

The brash and outspoken Irishman has repeatedly spoken on his drawing power, also constantly noting that he’s on course to be ‘neck and neck’ with the UFC brass in terms of promotional hierarchy.

On top of that, the “Notorious” has also tossed around the idea of self-promoting his own fight at some point, a simply outlandish idea.

In fact, according to former fighter turned analyst Chael Sonnen, McGregor’s ultimate goal is to self-promote.

“The American Gangster” even went as far as to say that the “Notorious” one was interested in fighting former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland prior to Henderson’s signing with Bellator:

“I don’t know what his future is. I can tell you what he wants it to be. I can tell you what his vision is. Everyone’s got a vision and a dream, all you people do too. He’s no different. He wants to do self-promotions. He wants to become a promoter. He believes that he could book Croke Park and sell it out. There was a time even when there was a little bit of discussion going on (about) that. Sonnen said on a recent episode of Beyond the Fight.

“I believe he reserved some name, ‘McGregor Promotions’ or something silly like that. And Ben Henderson was floating around, he wasn’t under contract with anybody. Now he’s under contract with Bellator, but for a minute he wasn’t. Conor thought ‘well look, I’m gonna do my own promotion, I can sell out Croke Park right in my hometown. I can find some TV sponsor to partner up with me, and I’ve got an opponent, his name is Ben Henderson.’

While Sonnen’s claims likely aren’t too realistic, nothing can be counted out for McGregor, who has changed the game of mixed martial arts in just a few years.
