Mark Hunt vs. Antônio Silva 1

We waste no time getting this list going with this heavyweight war. Did you forget about this fight already?

Mark Hunt and Antônio Silva collided at UFC Fight Night 33 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The two heavyweights fought tooth and nail in this back-and-forth five-round war that ultimately ended in a draw. These two would meet up again just about two years later but the “Super Samoan” would easily knock out the injury-laden “Bigfoot” in that meeting.

If anyone is foolish enough to try to heckle MMA stars, then they’d best prepare themselves to be on the receiving end of a verbal beatdown – if not worse.

The trash-talkers in this article discovered the hard way!

Chael Sonnen vs. Regional Fighter

At a Q&A session during the UFC Fan Expo in 2013, Chael Sonnen found himself coming under fire from a regional fighter called Bill Smallwood, who apparently had a chip on his shoulder.

“I’m trying to figure out why people are asking your opinion when you haven’t had your hand raised in two years?” Smallwood said after queuing up to ask Sonnen a question.

As Smallwood continued to ramble on about ‘real talk,’ the state of Oklahoma, and fighters from that area who deserved a title shot more than him, Sonnen finally lost his patience and began to fire back with both barrels.

“Spit it out brother, you’re putting everybody to sleep, man, and I’m about to come over there and whip your *** in a second just to give people something to look at!” Sonnen bellowed at him.

“Here’s real talk dummy. If you don’t get to the end of the line, I’m going to come down there and warm up on you before I talk care of LeBron [James] later tonight, so take those stupid sunglasses off your head, because we’re in a dark room, dummy!”

Smallwood was running out of material fast but kept going anyway.

“I sell *** whoopings, son, not memberships,” he retorted.

“You don’t sell anything, stupid,” Sonnen informed him. “You sell ***-whippings? What is your name again? Who are you?”

Smallwood didn’t respond to that, perhaps because no one had a clue who he was, and the reality was that he only had a 2-3 record in MMA at the time (a record that several years later now stands at just 4-7).

“Tell my room of fans what real talk means,” Sonnen mocked him to cheers and applause from the crowd. “Beat it!”

Six Reasons Why Dana White Dislikes Tyron Woodley

Six reasons why Dana White dislikes Tyron Woodley.

The post Six Reasons Why Dana White Dislikes Tyron Woodley appeared first on LowKickMMA.com.

Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley successfully defended his title against Darren Till at UFC 228. The “Chosen One” submitted the hyped younger fighter in the second round, in so doing becoming the current longest-reigning UFC champion.

Woodley first captured the welterweight strap at UFC 201 when he bum-rushed then-champion Robbie Lawler with his patented and thunderous right hand. Since winning the title, the “Chosen One” has defended it four times.

However, not all is good with the UFC’s longest-reigning current champ. Woodley has drawn much criticism from UFC President Dana White. As a result, MMA fans have developed a mostly derogatory relationship with Woodley due to White’s attitude. For the most part, MMA fans go as Dana goes.

That being said, the UFC has a champion in Woodley who is active and doesn’t run from fights. So why does it seem that White flat-out dislikes Woodley? Only White knows the truth behind the beef, but we here at LowkickMMA are pragmatic, so we have compiled a list:

Check out our six reasons why Dana White dislikes Woodley.

He Knows His Worth

Perhaps the reason why UFC President Dana White doesn’t seem to like Woodley is that the “Chosen One” knows his worth.

It’s no secret Dana gets along better with the fighters he can rein in and bully to a certain degree. Although very much a company man, Woodley isn’t that guy that White can manipulate. Quite the opposite is true, as a matter of fact.

Woodley is an active champion, defending his title whenever he is healthy and against all comers. That being said, Woodley has passion projects he has been working on these last couple years, and he won’t let anything get in the way of.

Woodley is 36 years old, however, so his fighting career is most likely winding down. Perhaps he will find success as a rapper or more likely as an actor. Either way, Woodley knows his worth, whatever it is.

Waylon Lowe’s Burnt Manhood

Ex-UFC fighter Waylon Lowe was competing for the World Series Of Fighting promotion back in 2013 when it merged that he was also embroiled in a legal battle with a sex shop and manufacturer over serious damage to his manhood.

Lowe reportedly used Kama Sutra Pleasure Balm Prolonging Gel prior to making love to his fiancee, but sometime later began experiencing excruciating pain and pressure in his penis, leaving it swollen and requiring medical attention.

According to the lawsuit, Lowe was left with permanent burns and scarring to his genitals, while to add to his woes he had also been experiencing erectile dysfunction since.

As such he proceeded to sue both ‘The Mood’ sex store in Philadelphia and the gel’s creator’s, Kama Sutra Co., for more than $50,000 in damages.

However, the company later spoke out to claim that nobody had ever experienced such a reaction to the gel in over 40 years of doing business.

Hellbent on living life to its fullest, UFC star and extreme sports enthusiast Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone has long been a fan favorite thanks to his thrilling all-action fights inside the Octagon and his wildman antics outside of it.

A truly unique character who seemingly has more lives than a cat, in this article we’ll take a look at 10 of the craziest stories involving Cerrone over the years, including an alarming number of life-threatening incidents on land, air, and sea.

Disemboweled On An ATV

In the summer of 2006, Cerrone was riding his ATV over a jump when he lost control and ended up landing stomach-first onto the handlebars.

The injury he suffered was grotesque, essentially leaving him disemboweled and in absolute agony.

Cerrone was rushed to hospital, where he’d have to be revived three times and had a large portion of his intestines and a section of his stomach removed, before being placed in an induced coma for the next two weeks.

Thankfully, Cerrone recovered and soon continued his fighting career, but six-years later the injury came back to haunt him when his stomach rolled around his intestine, giving him an intensely painful stabbing sensation in his abdomen.

Again rushed to the hospital, Cerrone had to have his intestines flushed out and then water poured into his stomach to unspin it from his intestines.

Cerrone was two weeks out from a fight with Jeremy Stephens at the time, but despite being urged by his team to pull out, he still fought and won by unanimous decision.

10 Biggest Talking Points Of The Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Feud

Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor already has quite the backstory.

The post 10 Biggest Talking Points Of The Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Feud appeared first on LowKickMMA.com.

MMA fans all around the world are eagerly awaiting the fight of the year between Conor McGregor and lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 in Las Vegas on October 6, 2018.

Because of that, now seems like the perfect time to look back at the long-running feud between the two that’s led to this showdown being declared the biggest fight in UFC history.

Enjoy.

The Warning

While it’s long since been forgotten about, in the early days of McGregor’s rise to stardom in the UFC’s featherweight division, he and Nurmagomedov appeared to have a cordial relationship. They even took a picture together backstage after one of the Irishman’s victories in 2014.

In fact, at one stage McGregor even rightly suggested that Nurmagomedov would one day become the champion of the 155-pound division.

However,  McGregor defeated Jose Aldo to win the 145-pound title the following year and began to signal an interest in lightweight. Nurmagomedov was quick to warn him that would be a bad idea based on his presence.

“I think Conor is a good fighter but if he thinks he can come to the lightweight division and have a chance of beating me he is delusional,” Nurmagomedov told arabsmma.com.

“I’m the worst match-up for him in the UFC. This is why he is trying to move up and fight RDA [Rafael dos Anjos] now. He wants to avoid fighting me. If he comes to lightweight and fights me I will give him a great welcome.”

“Four minutes, I smash him – no problem.” Nurmagomedov declared in a seperate interview.
