Nate Diaz has had a rocky relationship with the UFC and its President Dana White over the years but that hasn’t stopped him from competing. Longtime UFC ring announcer Bruce Buffer has put Diaz on notice by giving him some harsh advice regarding how he should treat his relationship with the promotion.

His Problems

Diaz has not been seen in the Octagon since his rematch with McGregor back at UFC 202 when he suffered a majority decision loss which came five months after Diaz submitted McGregor in their first bout at UFC 196.

Diaz is set to meet Dustin Poirier in a lightweight showdown at the upcoming UFC 230 pay-per-view event. Since that fight was revealed, it appears to be issues with making this fight happen. It all started at the UFC 25 Anniversary press conference where Diaz went on record by stating that he’s not sure if he will fight at this event.

The issue that he had all came down to the fact that at the end of that press conference. The ending saw the announcement of UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov fighting Conor McGregor at the upcoming UFC 229 event.

Nate Diaz Should Quit Complaining

Bruce Buffer was recently interviewed by TMZ Sports where he noted that Diaz should stop complaining and bow to White everytime he sees him.

“Nate, I heard you made 7 or more million dollars on your last fight. I don’t want to hear complaining about being under promoted by the UFC.” You should be thanking the UFC and bowing to Dana White every time you see him.”

The UFC 230 pay-per-view event is set to take place on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, New York City. The main card is slated to air on pay-per-view at 10 p.m. ET while the preliminary card will air on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET and the promotion’s streaming service, UFC Fight Pass.

The post 10 Biggest Post-Fight Meltdowns In MMA History appeared first on LowKickMMA.com.

From the very beginning, there has been a fair share of post-fight meltdowns in MMA history.

Whether it was MMA’s original bad boy, Tito Ortiz, nearly inciting a riot with the Lions Den after his victory of Guy Metzger or Ronda Rousey going AWOL after losing the women’s bantamweight title, post-fight freakouts are must-watch TV.

The term meltdown or even freakout is a bit subjective. So for the purpose of this list, we will define meltdown as ‘a sudden loss of control over one’s feeling or behavior.’

So with that in mind, we scoured the combat sports landscape to bring you 10 of the biggest post-fight meltdowns in MMA history.

The list starts here, enjoy.

Jon Jones

Daniel Cormier

Before Daniel Cormier became the undisputed “baddest man on the planet” by defeating Stipe Miocic at UFC 226 and thus becoming the first man ever to hold both the light heavyweight title and the heavyweight strap at the same time, he was one of the internet’s hottest memes.

Cormier met his longtime rival Jon Jones for the light heavyweight title at July 2017’s UFC 214 from Anaheim, California. Although “DC” faired well in the early going of the five-round fight, Jones was the better man on that night. He knocked Cormier out with a third-round head kick to regain the title before testing positive for ********.

Sadly, the image of a grown man in tears is what most people remember from UFC 214.

The crying face Cormier meme quickly became the web’s newest way to express one’s unpleasantries, joining the famous crying Michael Jordan meme in the process.

Ticket prices for UFC 229 are here.

The highly-anticipated ticket for October 6’s anticipated pay-per-view event from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will go on sale this week. They will be available to the general public at 1 p.m. ET this Friday.

UFC Fight Club Members will receive early access on its website starting Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET. UFC newsletter subscribers will get one day of early access starting Thursday at 1 p.m on UFC.com.

Prices for the event are listed on axs.com (via MMA Fighting) as $2,505, $2,005, $1,505, $1,005, $755, $555, $405, $355, $305, $255, and $205, not including fees. Fans purchasing them can only buy a maximum of eight.

UFC 226 is expected to legitimately contend for the title of the biggest pay-per-view spectacle in UFC history. McGregor will return to the octagon after nearly two years out of action to face undefeated champ Nurmagomedov.

The fight brings the pre-installed bad blood of McGregor’s highly-publicized assault in Brooklyn earlier this year. He threw a metal dolly through the window of a bus containing ‘The Eagle.’ The former two-division UFC champ reached a plea deal in a Brooklyn court last month. Footage of the incident is now being used to promote the fight due to its controversial nature.

Dana White has hinted the event could draw more than two million buys on pay-per-view. Meanwhile, the live gate is sure to be massive.

Kevin Lee Aiming For Anthony Pettis At UFC 229

Kevin Lee is aiming to fight Anthony Pettis at UFC 229.

The post Kevin Lee Aiming For Anthony Pettis At UFC 229 appeared first on LowKickMMA.com.

It’s no surprise to see Kevin Lee aiming to fight Anthony Pettis at UFC 229.

Lee (17-3) is currently the No. 5-ranked lightweight in the world. Pettis (21-7) occupies the  No. 8 spot, just three places behind Lee. A fight between “Showtime” and the “Motown Phenom” actually makes a lot of sense.

According to Lee who spoke with ESPN on Monday, he suggested a fight between him and Pettis to be added to the UFC 229 card.

When asked how the UFC responded to the suggested bout Lee said, ” I think the UFC likes the fight”.

The “Motown Phenom” has been in the news as of late. A rumored Nate Diaz fight was hinted at prior to Diaz’ return being announced against Dustin Poirier at UFC 230. Then Lee tried to lure Georges St-Pierre back out retirement for a fight.

That fight won’t be happening. Lee understands it’s just business.

“I get his reason for not taking a fight against me,” Lee said regarding GSP. “I’m a big risk and not much reward. I get it. I’ll move past it.”

“That said, I kind of took it a little bit as disrespect. I took it as a little bit of a challenge, that he doesn’t see me as worth his time. I’ll make my point. If I have to show how good I am again, and Anthony Pettis has to be the victim of it, then I’ll beat the f— out of Anthony Pettis.”

As of this writing, Lee doesn’t have an official fight scheduled for UFC 229, however, things can change very quickly in this sport and often they do. Regardless, Lee wants the rest of the division to know that just because he hasn’t been doing as many interviews as of late doesn’t mean he has fallen off.

“I’m the best lightweight out there, for sure,” Lee said. “Not only that, but I’m getting better and better. I’m constantly looking to improve myself. That’s why I’ve even stayed out of the media for bit, I’ve been working on my skills. Whatever the UFC decides, I’m going to be ready to go on Oct. 6, ready to make that weight, even if they don’t find me an opponent.”

Despite being ranked No. 5 in the lightweight division, Lee says the UFC was pushing him to move up to 170 pounds. Lee thinks that move is to protect the promotion’s undefeated champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov:

“They said that just because they’re trying to push me out of the division,” Lee said. “They’re trying to keep me away from the Russian [Nurmagomedov] boy for as long as possible. I’ve been calling him out for years. I get it, they have a big market in Russia they want to push into, and I’m bad for that business.”

“They’ll try to spin it and say it’s about my health, but at the end of the day, if you put me and Khabib on a scale right now, I’m lighter than the guy. I’m lighter than a lot of guys fighting at 155.”

If the UFC grants Lee his wish and books the ‘Motown Phenom’ v.s ‘Showtime’ at UFC 229, MMA fans will win.
