Where Are They Now? The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Winners

Find out where your favorite The Ultimate Fighter winners are now:

With the UFC having now secured a new broadcasting deal with ESPN from 2019 onwards, Dana White recently admitted that ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ show may finally be on its way out after a 27season series run.

As such, now seems like a good time to take a look back at what has become of every single one of the long-running show’s 35 ‘Ultimate Fighter’ winners to date.

Find out what your favorite past winners of TUF are up to now:

SEASON 1

Diego Sanchez

It’s a testament to Diego Sanchez’s durability that 13 years after winning TUF season 1 he remains the only fighter from that historic series to still be actively competing in the UFC, having amassed 27 fights (16-11) to date.

However, after suffering back-to-back first-round knockouts in his last two fights, it’s possible that the 36-year-old’s memorable career is now entering its final stages, though Sanchez has assured his fans that, “I’m not done yet.”

Forrest Griffin

Arguably TUF’s most iconic winner, Griffin’s fight with Stephan Bonner in the Season 1 finale was declared as the most important fight in UFC history by Dana White, while he’d also go on to win the light-heavyweight title too.

Griffin retired in 2013 at the age of 33 due to chronic injuries, but he’s since been inducted into the UFC’s Hall of Fame and now works for the UFC as their Vice President of Athletic Development.

Bellator 199 Salaries: Ryan Bader Makes Bank For 15-Second Fight

The post Bellator 199 Salaries: Ryan Bader Makes Bank For 15-Second Fight appeared first on LowKickMMA.com.

Last weekend provided quite a bit of combat sports action and not only in terms of mixed martial arts, but in boxing as well. ESPN broadcasted a highly intriguing lightweight title fight between Jorge Linares and Vasyl Lomachenko, while UFC 224 was broadcasted live on pay-per-view and Bellator 199 broadcasted on the Paramount Network.

In terms of MMA, however, few fighters made out better than Bellator light heavyweight champion Ryan Bader, who took on Muhammad “King Mo” Lawal in the first round of the Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament.

While many consider Bader to be a favorite to win the tournament, few likely expected him to get by Lawal in the manner he did, as he knocked him out in just 15 seconds.

And not only did he have a quick night, but he made quite a large chuck of money for his work, likely more than he would’ve had he stayed with the UFC especially when it’s taken into account that he’s now sporting his own sponsors as well.

Check out the full Bellator 199 salaries below:

Matt Mitrione has issued a stern warning to Ryan Bader.

The Bellator heavyweight grand prix is coming along perfect for the Viacom-owned promotion. Now, there are two fights that will take place in the semifinals – Chael Sonnen vs. Fedor Emelianenko and Bader vs. Mitrione.

As seen in the main event of Saturday’s Bellator 199 event on the Paramount Network at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, Bader picked up a first-round knockout victory over Muhammed Lawal in the quarterfinals of this tournament.

On the flip side, Mitrione advanced to the semifinals of this eight-man tournament by picking up a majority decision win over Roy Nelson at Bellator 194 in February.

Before Bader vs. King Mo happened, Mitrione predicted the winner of the fight accurately. Now, Mitrione will fight Bader at a date that has yet to be officially announced by Bellator President Scott Coker.

Following Bader’s big win on Saturday night (May 12, 2018), Mitrione took to his official Twitter account to give his thoughts on the finish of this fight as well as hype his bout against Bader. He wrote the following:

“So @ryanbader it is. Congratulations. You’ve been a friend for several years, and now our paths finally cross. Congrats and train hard cuz this weight class is mine. @BellatorMMA @paramountnet @Viacom #No2divisionChampInBellatorWhileImHere.”

With all of the action that took place this weekend including UFC 224 on pay-per-view, you may have missed Bellator 199, which was filled with some exciting fights and quick finishes.
